Do not do business here. I really am easy. I work with people all the time. They really are so inconsiderate of their customer. Ordered early April and now at the end of August I still do not have shutters completed in my new home. They blame the shutter manufacturer .. but all have shutters around me at 6 to 8 weeks max! Of course I ended the relationship and Acadia has been in to finish. THIS IS NOT THE BLIND MAN IN CHARLOTTE.!! I'm just warning you.. you will be sorry. They really do not deserve 1 star. read more

From beginning to end this was a great experience. Ashley and LeAnna were very personable and helpful on the phone. Rocco had the whole townhouse done in no time at all. He did a great job and hauled away the old stuff with no mess behind. He had a terrific attitude and is very friendly, yet efficient. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because one small clip was broken and they need to come back and replace it. (In about a week) Therefore, there is one slat missed on my verticals on the deck. Not a big deal. read more

Bryson installed cellular blinds from Lowe's on 8 windows. He was punctual and professional. One of the shades was defective (not his fault). We ordered window treatments and left a 50% deposit. There was no follow up or communication of any kind. We tried to reach the salesperson but their mailbox was always full. Calls to the owner at106 Big Lick RD were either not returned or we were told they had no information from the supplier about our order. This went on for over 2 months. We had to file a complaint with Consumer Affairs and were only able to get a partial refund. Do yourself a favor and don't deal with this company. read more

Ordered in August - they sold me a product that they couldn't deliver (flat valance) so they just ordered the standard. Also requested 2" slats. Found out when arrived that they were wrong (21/2" slats and decorative valance) Had to reorder correct size then refund some of the blinds. To get a valance similar to what they offered was now an additional $20/valance (which I'm sure was just a cost to offset the refund of blinds). When arrived the second time blinds were missing. Third install still had a defective blind. Today, 6 months later still trying to get this final blind. They did work with me but by no means bent over backwards. Hindsight I should have taken a full refund at the first wrong order they delivered. I had to check with the constantly to get refunds/re-orders... it's been a process. read more

Unprofessional management. Nice young men came out but ignored every request and always wanted to come early. Never provided samples and showed me what they would use. Financial mixups. And the woman that answer the phone are unpleasant and the owner Ashley is rude. Wish I'd trusted my gut but chose to be kind. Will not recommend nor use again read more

Have waited over a month for them to fix out front window shade. Has not contacted us after they took the whole thing. Owners brother was very rude as well. We have needed repairs twice in just one year of having it. Please spend your money elsewhere. Wish I could give 0 stars! read more

Absolutely blown away by the punctuality, professionalism and quality of work by Bryson who did installed over 12 sets of blinds and shades in my home yesterday. We'd initially tried to go through another vendor who cancelled on us twice and pushed the appointment out over a month. The Blind Man scheduled us for next day and Bryson walked me and my wife through the entire process thoroughly. He worked fast but efficient, knocking out the entire job in short order. The Blind Man unfortunately deserves 0 stars. We installed blinds from Lowe's in 3 windows, and had the Blind Man outfit the 20+ windows in our home. The purchase and installation were great. 3 months after purchase several quality matters arose. When contacting the Blind Man, they said that nothing including the 6mile trip to our house would be covered and we would be responsible for all repair costs, parts and labor. Avoid this place if at all possible. They only care about the almighty dollar and could care less about customer service and customer relationships. The self installed Lowe's blinds have held up quite well. read more

I had two damaged sets of blinds that I needed replaced. I was unable to find the blinds online or at Lowe's, etc. they came out and gave me a quote and said they would be able to match the blinds. The blinds came and were a perfect match to the rest of the house. Everyone was very friendly and provided exceptional customer service. The only downside was it took a little over a month to get the blinds but it was worth the wait to have the exact match and I knew they would have to order them. Should I have a need in the future, I will definitely use The Blind Man. read more

I was very disappointed in the customer service and the quality of the installation. We ordered a plantation shutter for our front door. When it was installed - it was 1/2" to large around the exterior frame. They were forced to install the shutter off center to avoid hitting the door handle. The frame of the shutter is now visible only on the left side and it's clear that It was not centered on the door. I reached out to management to see if this could be fixed. They quickly sent someone out to take a look. Heather came out to look at the door and told me this is how they always install plantation shutter on doors... OFF CENTER?? Their solution was to order a new frame and leave holes in my metal door. The end result is that I have to live with it the way it is. Managements response was that most people "don't notice' when it's off centered. I can't believe a company that sells just blinds would recommend a product that has to be installed off-centered and then tell me I'm crazy for wanting it to be fixed correctly. I'm a designer by trade - and would NEVER recommend them to a client. It's one thing to order a blind too large - but to tell me I'm crazy for noticing it's wrong is another.. It's all about how you handle a situation and this was handled VERY POORLY. If you're looking for blinds - go somewhere else and save yourself the stress! read more

I have to agree with another review that is on this site, The Blind Man deserves a "0" star. I had them to put blinds up in my entire home. I had one that was not working properly so I contacted them to fix the blind and this had been going on for four months. Everytime you call you cannot get a live voice and they do not return calls. I had been working with Ashley and she is quite rude, she acts as if it is your problem and she will get to you whenever she can. Austin came out to do the measurements and he was very pleasant and Johnny came out to remove the broken blind and he also was awesome, so this review does not reflect Austin or Johnny. If Ashley is the business owner they won't last long. It is all about money with her. I have had several of my friends to get blinds from them as well and they are not please with the customer service from Ashley either. So please beware before purchasing anything from this company. You will be paying a trip fare everytime they come to your home and nothing is under warranty as they state. The prior owners took pride in the company. Again you have been warned. read more

I'm very disappointed and frustrated with this business. I had an appointment scheduled for today (07/29/16) to have custom blinds installed at 1PM and no one showed up or called!! Now someone called this morning at 9:10AM and asked if they could the appointment time up and I explained the earliest I could get home was 12 noon and they said okay they will keep the appointment time at 1PM. So this makes me think they had no plans on showing up at 1PM as agreed, because something else came up that was more important than this paying customer. I called the around 2:30PM and received voicemail message that the office closes at 2PM on Fridays. This is very unprofessional. No respect for my time. It's a Friday afternoon, so are what are the chances I will hear from The Blind Man Inc. before Monday??? Mind you they have my deposit which is non-refundable because the blinds are custom. Now if I was not here for the appointment they would have charged me $35 a trip fee. So Can I now deduct $35 from my balance??? ...that is if I ever get my blinds. I am beyond angry and frustrated and I would not recommend this business!! read more
