Ron - Super nice guy
Linda K.

After 13 years our tenant recently moved out. We decided to use this month to do much needed cleaning and repairs while the unit is vacant. One of our projects was to replace all the screens around the unit. Since we didn't have much time working on this project in the evenings and the weekends we asked Ron from Screen Works for help. Not only did Ron take pride in his work. His screens were good quality and excellent craftsmanship! Ron charged us a fair price and the screens were ready for pick-up on the promised date. We have another set of screens on order with Ron. He can custom make screens to fit your job. Hardworking, professional and true to his word are all characteristics that come to mind when thinking of Ron. We would recommend Ron without reservations. He knows what he's doing and his quality of work is consistent.

I am beyond impressed with this "Father & Son" team! Their customer service is absolutely top-notch - truly second to none! This "dynamic duo" came out to measure two properties within days, and returned to complete the installation at both locations in less than an hour. The quality of the screens and frames is outstanding, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I'll be recommending them to everyone I know! Let's all do our part to support our wonderful local small businesses! P.S. They offer fantastic prices - you won't find a better deal anywhere on Oahu!! Thank you, Ron & Ronson :))

So I was the do-it-yourself during lockdown during my time away from work. However, I learned that certain screen doors require more care to detail and construction. Therefore, the universal ones from City Mill or Lowes/Home Depot would not fit. Please take it from me and save yourself money, time and disappointment by calling Screen Works for a free estimate. The clerk who assisted me was Ronson who scheduled a time via call and updated via text with me. After receiving my estimate I was able to make a decision on getting the semi-durable construction or the higher grade model. Ronson informed me it would take about 3-4 weeks to get in stock since they build it but materials have to be flown in. Covid delayed the time of getting my screen door but I only knew after calling. Ronson apologized and it's of course forgive-able. Their plant where they order had to shut down which caused the delay. Screen Works also can do work if the screen replacement as well. You can bring it to their shop but the convenience of having someone come to you is all the better! After Ronson installed my wife is very pleased to now have the breeze come through the room for those who know Ewa can get super humid. Thanks Ronson for the quick!

Quality window screens with wickets. Had 6 of these installed. Great work and price!

My experience with this business and the people who represent this business is nothing but positive. From start to finish, and every step of the way, Screen Works Ron and his son Ronson exemplified what great customer service truly is. Best part was that I didn't have to leave my home! Here's why you should consider doing your business with Screen Workers instead of other companies: 1) PRICE. Ronson will come out to your place and take measurements for FREE. Then will give you an estimate by the end of that very same day! Compared to other similar businesses, Screen Works offered the most reasonable pricing. 2) QUALITY. Whether it's the screens themselves or the workmanship, Screen Works can't be beat. 3) LOCAL. Suppprt local businesses! Will definitely do business with them again! -Alvin

Coastal Windows - Lanai

Coastal Windows

I wanted to share my experience as this company deserves your consideration for your window…read moreproject. I believe Coastal Windows will have your best interest as their top priority, just as they did ours through every step of the project. Our lanai went from a dusty, dirty hangout to a clean, weatherproof I-always-want-to-be-out-there living space. Our goal was to replace screened openings with windows to keep out dust, dirt and water. The more window companies I talked to the more ideas I got. However, it was not till speaking with Ernest Chang at Coastal Windows that I was convinced we were making the right decision. Ernest was very patient and actually listened to everything we wanted to achieve with our window project. He helped us work through many details and came up with a solution better than we even imagined. One wall went from 8 screened openings to 4 large sliding windows. When we started we were just going to fill the existing openings with similar size windows. That would have been a huge mistake. This alone set Coastal apart from most other companies who would basically say "tell me what you want and I will let you know how much." Coastal actually consulted and planned with us. It may sound cliche, but that old saying "you get what you pay for" holds true with Coastal Windows. You may pay a bit more, but your end result and your experience from start to finish will be better than expected. Here is what you are paying more for: top of the line windows with no moving parts to break or fail that are designed and built here on island; complete removal of old windows and installation just like new construction ensuring structural integrity and weather resistance; and a vast knowledge of our weather conditions and what works and what doesn't. Breakdown of my experience: Sales process with Ernest Chang: this guy knows his stuff and tells it like it is with amazing tact and respect. He listens to everything and actually hears what you have to say. You could tell he was less focused on the final sale and more focused on what we wanted to achieve that would make us happy. Project proposal: Straight forward and no hidden anything. I'm the guy who asks every possible question and leaves so stone unturned. Everything was communicated clearly and there were no issues or surprises throughout the process or upon completion. Also, every call and email was always returned promptly. Final measurements: These guys came in and made sure they knew exactly what they were getting into and what they would need for install day. If they felt they needed to pull a piece of trim to get a better look, they asked to do so. I am sure they knew they could, but they asked anyway. I respect that they had the consideration for us to ask more than once before just ripping into the walls. Installation: We had 6 very large windows going in and knew it would be a multi-day project. The crew from day one was kind & courteous from the moment they arrived to the moment they left. 5 full days and I never heard one inappropriate word. Now that is a huge feat to achieve with any construction project, let alone a 5-day window install in a house on a hill that has shifted and settled over the years. On top of that, their attention to detail and refusal to cut corners to ensure the best installation possible was just impressive.

Coastal Windows fabricated (3) custom windows for us with a perfect fit and paint color to match…read moreour homes trim color. The decision was easy and not stressful after getting information starting with Erik, touring their production area, then finishing up with Spenser. The installation team was a pleasure and able to install the (3) windows in (1) day. As the glass is made elsewhere and I had custom painted exterior frames, the installation took months to complete. The finished product was well worth it!

Mana and his team has walked us through every step of the way from his mobile showroom to the wonderfully clear product. Mana also told me to try and find pricing on his competitors...not even close and not to even sacrifice quality. Unfortunately, we had some busted screens during the process of the home construction, but Kawika (service bruddah) came out checked um, and when he was here I kept asking, what about this one and this one and this one too. He just took them all out, got them repaired and reinstalled them no questions asked. Super Aloha. And this is months after we've been living in the house. Would I recommend....absolutely! Maybe Mana can also throw in a round of golf at OCC as well if you purchase now. Update update, nearly a year later Kawika was very thorough and wanted to ensure our sliding doors were working. He was very tedious and ensured they were installed to the best of his ability. He also noticed walking by some windows that there were some weep holes missing and he offered to fix that too! Kawika accepts tips as snacks are welcome hahaha!

We are now having to resort to legal action. We prepaid the $17K last Sept. 2025 for 3 sliding glass doors and a window. On Sept. 5, Mana told us installation would happen in November. November came and went. Since then we have repeatedly emailed, called and texted both Mana and Paul. We got some response initially, and a promise for delivery in Spring 2026. Spring came and went. We have since been completely ghosted as we have tried to contact them, sometimes daily, asking for an installation date or for a refund. In late July, we sent a letter from a lawyer saying that if we did not receive the materials we have paid for, or a refund within 3 weeks, we would pursue legal action. Unfortunately, this is now what we are forced to do. This company installed windows for us a few years ago and our experience was good. I provided a 5-star rating in 2023. We maintain some hope that Paul and Mana will do the minimally correct thing and deliver the materials we have paid for, or refund our money.
