As context, I'm a home improvement novice. Wife and I bought a new home that did not come with screens. Great breezes, but all kinds of bugs found their way in as well. Screens were the obvious solution... Did a google/yelp search and came across Screen Solutions, read the reviews, and reached out. Got a response from Ian incredibly quickly. This dude is the owner and is such a hard worker. Ian asked for some photos of the frames and voiced some initial concerns. He then came by a day or two later to check things out and recommended against having full 'traditional' screens installed given the way the (1960's) window frames were made. Instead of giving up, he mentioned an atypical type of new screen made in Atlanta that is flexible that could be made to easily fit in the window frames. This was not an upsell, they were the same price, but would allow the screens to be installed without adding bulky additions to the window frame. Sure enough, they stopped by today (only about 2 weeks later) with the frames that fit our windows perfectly, and were installed in 10 min tops. Ian and his colleague showed us how to remove them for easy cleaning. Super easy. We did pay something like $20 more for 'see-through' screens that are pretty awesome - you can see them in direct light but I already had a panic moment thinking the screen fell out of one of the windows...just to put my hand against it and it was still there. Don't have anything to compare it against, but the see-through version feels well worth it to us. I wish I knew how easy this would have been during the summer months. But, now I know and hopefully this helps someone see how easy it is to get screens put in. Product and service are A+, but also nice knowing we're supporting a local small business. The guys came (with masks) just to replace the screen with regular screen but instead they introduced me to pet screen which is a lot tougher for my cat to claw through (no holes a month after install). Screen Solutions were recommended by the company that replaced my old french doors. I wasn't even sure how screens work work with French doors given that I was just used to the sliding doors with screens. From the start Ian was quick to respond and answer any questions. He asked for a couple of photos of the doors and was able to provide a quote over the phone since my job was so simple. The price quoted was above what we had budgeted so I let him know that we would be in touch once we saved a little more and he was very cool about it with zero pressure. Few weeks later we were ready and we let him know. Again response was fast and we quickly arranged a measurement time. Ian and David were punctual and arrived on time. Yes there was the standard window but they arrived well within it. Both guys are friendly, no pressure and knowledgeable. Ian explained our options and showed us the different type of screen material on offer. Since we have cats, we couldn't take the fancy invisible mesh that other reviews have talked about and we had to go with the heavy duty. Deposit was paid and eta of 2 weeks was given on when the doors would be ready. SIDE NOTE: When chatting we found out that David does TV installations and other things. He was kind enough to take a look at a TV we wanted mounted and gave a VERY fair price for same day including the wall mount. He returned after they both left and had it installed in under 1 hour. It was great to get that other outstanding task done purely by chance. Fast forward 2 weeks, I get a message on the weekend that the doors are ready and their first available timeslot was Wed which worked for me. Again they arrived in the early part of the timeslot and even though said work could take 2-4 hours, I think they were done in 2. They made sure to clean everything up and throw any trash away. The doors look great. We no longer bake in the evenings because we can now have an open door without worrying about the cats going out. The cats love having the door open during the day to look at the birds. TLDR: Responsive and friendly. Quality work. Clean up after themselves and the screen doors look great. Would definitely use again once we have enough to replace our other doors and highly recommend to anyone looking for screens. read more

After looking and looking for sliding screen door companies to replace a screen door that was missing, I checked with several companies on Yelp. We needed an a sliding screen door that matched our sliding glass door, and one that wouldn't interfere with our view. Chose Screen Solutions because they were the only ones specifically licensed for the job and the only company where the owner,Ian, explained in great detail the upgraded features of the dioor that he would have manufactured. His phone quote was on the higher side, but the value of having someone who was affable, organized, and who knew and seemed to care about his craft and products was important. Without those qualities in an owner,we know from experience that can mean headaches later, so we made an appointment. Ian confirmed before coming, was on time, and he and David, who works with him, seemed to be meticulous as they measured.The two were also very courteous and good humored. End of story- they came today with the new sliding screen door.
