Finally tried their lunch which did not disappoint! Delicious salad with fresh ingredients.

Bangin' Brownstown Bagel- pain bagel, cheddar cheese, extra crispy bacon, eggs over medium, and...... balsamic sautéed onions!

I can't even with this place!! Just when I thought I ate the best sandwich ever, Jason goes and makes another! Today was the "Great grilled cheese experiment- provolone, American, sourdough, w/ various accompaniments that may or may not be life changing. The flavors swirled around my taste buds, teasingly and temptingly, and with every bite, the earth moved just a little! This isn't mama's Grilled cheese. Yes, it's got that down-home feel but, with a big ole' bang of artisanal excellence that just can't be put into words. Your mouth will be full for the next 20 min. anyway (if it even lasts that long!) SOOOOOO with all that said, basically it's really yummy.

This is such a cute corner spot restaurant. There's front porch seating and plenty of indoor seating. The service was quick and staff was friendly. I've gotten cupcakes here many times but this visit was to enjoy a breakfast meal. The strawberry shortcake French toast was filling and sweet. My husband got the breakfast platter with a bagel and cream cheese. The atmosphere and sweet dessert options make it an enjoyable experience everytime.

Ambiance 5/5- lots of tables and spacious interior! I also loved the natural light and appreciated the charging outlets. Great place to study! Food 5/5- yummy breakfast items and the service was really fast! Bathroom 4/5- a little old, I think there's just 1 family bathroom in the cafe, but it was well maintained and clean Parking 4/5- first time coming here was a bit tricky to find parking, but there is a free 2hr lot nearby or some limited street parking Overall, great place to do work and munch on some delicious food!

Cute cafe in a beautiful historic building in downtown Ephrata. There's is a large selection of homemade baked goods, drunks, and breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The restaurant is fast casual; order at a window and food is delivered to your table. Lots of seating is available in the dining room.

Stopped in on a Friday morning shortly after opening time and the staff greeted me immediately. Despite being short-staffed, my food was brought out in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the "Main Street morning" bowl and a blueberry muffin. The bowl was perfect. The hashbrowns on the bottom were crispy, the bacon was crunchy, and the cheese was melty. The blueberry muffin was perfectly moist and not too sweet. It tasted super fresh. They have a complimentary water station and a clean unisex bathroom. There are plenty of seating options both inside and outside. They work on a bus your own table system. I'll definitely be back.

Wonderful spot (: Great for WFH with excellent tables + outlets. Two families were playing chess during the day - so cute! Super fast at making the food as well.

I enjoyed the ambiance from this place. I got a breakfast sandwich and coffee. The breakfast sandwich was great, iced latte was not such a hit. Apparently they have amazing cupcakes which we didn't get because we stopped for breakfast but next time we will be trying the cupcakes. The girl working there was so cheerful first thing in the morning!!

This was an amazing stop! We tried so many things and the consensus. The atmosphere was bright and clean - would be an amazing place to come work and sit and have coffee! Ladies behind the counter were very patient and helpful. But the food was superb. Everyone thought their food was delicious.

This was my first time actually coming to Scratch Bakes as I've always passed it and saw it was a popular spot. Today we decided to go in and it was around 11:45am on a Saturday so I'm surprised it wasn't busier. When you walk in the menu is to the left on the chalkboard on the wall and the specials are on the right. They have a solid selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches/wraps that can be grilled or toasted and some soups. They also have salads and combo meals. They also sell lovely little cupcakes that they display in the front in the glass and often they have themed cupcakes (you can also preorder your food or bakery orders if you want cupcakes). I've had their cupcakes before and am a fan of them, so I recommend them for that if you need a batch or just want a sweet treat while on Main Street. Atmosphere: There's a decent amount of seating and there and they even have lounge type seating. There is a part where they have a little island of where you can put sugar/creamer and get napkins or free water next to it. There is also outdoor seating covered under a hanging roof. Food: Because we came at like 11:45am, I wasn't looking to get a cupcake but some actual lunch food. I ordered a bowl size of soup (there is also a cup size) and then my boyfriend ordered the Early Riser which is just a ham, egg and cheese toasted sandwich. When we got our food, it was delicious and I ate it pretty quickly. Highly recommend that broccoli cheddar soup, I ate it even when it was scorching on my tongue because I loved it that much. My boyfriend also said that his sandwich was good and he would order it again. We also got a free bagel & cream cheese...keep reading to find out why. Service: We got there at 11:45am and didn't get our food until about 12:15pm. We saw other people getting their food who had ordered after us and we were wondering for 15 mins what was taking them so long to just get soup and a sandwich out considering we saw everyone else got like multiple meals come out. We saw they were pretty backed up due to call in orders and then kindly asked a waitress who ended up bringing us a bagel and cream cheese instead of my soup at first. We tried to give it back but they told us to just keep it since it already made it to our table so we just kept it and ate it. It was really good actually too! That is why I knocked off 1 star. Overall I do recommend this place. I will be back again to order something else most likely

Food was delicious! I got the caprese breakfast burrito, pesto tortellini and a cup of tomato pepper jack soup. It came out fast, especially since I came in with a group of friends (seven of us ordered). Service was great! I would definitely go back and try more on their menu because there was so much to choose from and sounded really good. My friends loved the food too!

Upon entering is a wall of large, multi filled donuts of a number of varieties. Tiramisu I'm told is a popular one. I bought a dozen and the cost was $29. A purchase of a doz gets you a token for a free donut. A similar dozen at Giant Food Store that morning was $11. So are these worth 3 times the price? Depends. They are larger, there are more varieties and they are superfresh. They have a coffee bar and more than a few Gluten free options. The seating area is warm and inviting with a nice fireplace on the chilly day I visited. There is a small meeting room for an office to gather over coffee and donuts. I am a tea drinker and they do offer hot tea. I would love to see iced tea and flavored teas offered. Now what they need to come up with is some kind of breakfast or lunch option, a sandwich or croissant or a wrap. If you want me to come in and sit down for awhile I need more than a donut. We were looking for a place to eat that day and would have loved to stay if they offered anything like a sandwich. Dunkin Donuts offers quite few options. I'm not looking for that. Just something that works with their vibe and lets me grab a bite for lunch. The donuts themselves are super sweet, a bit messy (the creme leaks out) and big. You know how you slurp down a Krispy Kreme donut in 2 bites? This is not that. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The aesthetic is clean, nicely appointed. Some Akron locals told me they have embraced this venue. I'm sure they did their due diligence in opening a location here that is off the main drag. Loads of parking, easy in and out. They could easily get 5 stars by adding to the menu just a bit. But today, 4 stars from me.

The floor to ceiling windows let in a lot of light and create a comfortable space to enjoy the food. The employees working were friendly and quick. They worked through a line of 3 people within a minute or two. I ordered two donuts at $2.80 each and one gluten free ($4) for a friend. I definitely think the prices are high compared to other similar donuts in the area. The quality was good, though. I loved the chocolate icing and the donut dough was fresh. My friend said the gluten free donut was a little dense, but I think that's par for the course with gluten free baked goods.

I get the tuna melt every single time, and listen... their tuna is unreal. Perfectly seasoned, not too mayo-heavy, toasted just right it's basically my emotional support lunch at this point. I also never skip the seasonal drink special. Today's was the apple chai-der and it was so cozy and delicious. Their drink specials always feel like you're sipping the current season through a mug. Zig's also has an entire cooler/freezer wall packed with soups, applesauce, and grab-and-go meals. My all-time favorite soup is the Tomato Pepper Jack absolutely phenomenal. If you see it, grab two. Trust me. The bakery case? Dangerous. Cupcakes, pies, whoopie pies, parfaits... it's basically dessert heaven behind glass. And then there's my holy grail: the Buffalo Cauliflower. It's a rare find, and when I spot it I buy it in full apocalypse-prep quantities. No regrets. Between the rustic vibe, great coffee, incredible baked goods, and comfort-food lunches, Zig's is one of those places you keep coming back to because it just feels good and tastes even better.
