Was offended when I tested pens, even though there was testing paper put out for the purpose. Then when I put everything back and tried to leave because I didn't like her attitude, she ran towards me, got in my personal space, and accused me of stealing. I wouldn't set foot in this store if it was the last art supply store on earth. Besides the extremely rude staff, the selection is very limited. Should have just gone to the big art supply store in Tacoma like I was planning. Lesson learned! NEVER AGAIN.

Years ago they had a more in-depth stock, but nowadays they rarely have what I'm looking for. The exception is for the loveliest art papers; if you want some marbled, stenciled, or other specialty papers, they have nice ones for a price. But they make their primary income from framing posters and art and pictures for people, and would likely better be called The Frame-it Edge. This they do well indeed.

They had a lot of neon acrylic paint but didn't have much to choose from in regular colors; a lot of the skus were sold out. When we were checking out, we went to separate registers as the store was busy. I found out after we left we had different experiences at checkout. While the cashier that helped my mom was really nice to her and even went out of her way to have someone get some push pins for her, the cashier helping me was the total opposite. I've been receiving coupons from Michael's via email for years. When I told the cashier I had a coupon and started to look for it on my phone, she told me they don't send coupons out to customers that way. I said yes, they do and asked her to wait until I got the coupon up on my phone to scan it. She then told me the total and asked me to pay without waiting for the coupon. I then saw my mom waiting for me so I paid and left. I won't be coming back here.

Went in there with something to return that I bought for a wedding almost a year ago, not expecting much but thinking maybe they'd want them back. Brand new, tags still on but of course no receipt! The gal laughed when she asked if I bought them in September and I said yeah, maybe, of 2013!! She said return policy is 30 days but I'll give you in store credit since we don't have any in stock and we need them... I was shocked! When she said the 30 day thing I knew I'd be puttin' 'em up on ebay but then she graciously returned them. Now why can't more employees look out for their customers like that?? We then proceeded to shop in the well organized, clean store. Items were stocked and available with employees on the floor to help if you needed it. Prices are great (we had just come from the Spirit Store) with really cool clearance stuff mixed right in! We're a small town with not many other places to go for this kind of stuff so it's nice that they take the time to train staff in customer service to keep customers happy, not just coming back.

Not just a party supply place at all, though it's that too. And it's huge. Even some stuff I previously had to mail-order because it was lacking at Joann's or Michael's, here it was much cheaper at Party City. Really worth a visit to be acquainted with their range, to bare in mind for all future reference.

Mandy literally worked miracles for me the week before my wedding and I cannot recommend her enough…read moreI ordered a dress from an Etsy shop online (not Mandy) because I wanted something colorful and non traditional. I knew it was risky and the timeframe was really short and long story short it ended up being a bad choice - the dress I ordered was awful! With only one week before my wedding I rushed to Davids Bridal to try to find a dress off the rack. Obviously though, going to a bridal shop, non-traditional dresses are hard to come by and the best I could find was a cute ivory tea length, A-line dress. I really wanted something colorful and floral still so I found some floral tulle at JoAnne's and then searched for a local seamstress to see if anyone local could figure out something to do with my boring ivory dress, and in just a matter of days! Oh and the shoulders needed to be taken in as well!! Mandy was quick to respond, invited me to her home-based shop and said she could do it and would have it done by the next day!! It was even better than I expected! Like a whole new dress and fit like a glove!! I felt absolutely beautiful and received countless compliments! I highly recommend Mandy! Not only an excellent designer and seamstress, but also extremely kind and great to work with! Thank you Mandy for saving the day and making me feel so beautiful on my special day!!!!
