I went to the counter to see what we needed to do, and the young lady was checking out customers and an older gentleman was also behind the counter with her. A younger man also walked up behind the counter as we were standing there. No one offered any information or assistance as we stood there to the side. I eventually asked her if we needed to do anything specific since we were just standing there to the side and she said "oh, sorry! I thought you were with the large party." She gave us instructions to select our pieces and then have a seat and someone would be with us to do the next step. We selected our items and had a seat. The two gentlemen were still around the counter or back and forth to help other customers with paint, etc. I made eye contact with both of them and they both turned away at several engagements. After about 8-10 minutes of no one coming to our table, my 9 year old looked at me and said, "Mom, I feel like no one wants to help us, and they've seen us sitting here for a while." WOW. An experience I NEVER want my child to have. We put our pieces back carefully, and left. I hate that was her experience especially because she was really looking forward to it, and there aren't many opportunities like this in our area, but I won't bring her back to be ignored.

They provide the ready to paint ceramics, paint, tools, and they also bake the pieces as well. We spent a decent amount of time here and never once did we feel rushed. The owners here are very friendly and knowledgeable. I couldn't be more excited to have a pottery place on this side of town. Super excited to see our pieces once they're done! Will be back soon.

We all loved the vast selection of beads - there are so many different colors, types, and cute Halloween themed offerings as well! Holly is very helpful in assisting you with picking out color themes or bead types that would go well together. We strung our beads and were all so happy with the results! They are priced either by the bead or by the string, so I went for a few of each and made a matching bracelet, necklace and earring set. I also got a couple Christmas themed earrings for fun! I would love to come back here. I only wish Holly could open up another store closer to the city as it is quite a drive for us, but if you time your visit carefully you can probably avoid the traffic. Till next time!

They also sell fabric. The fabric ranges from everyday quilting cotton to Liberty of London cotton Lawn. Their yarn variety is fabulous too. They carry Borocco and Fiber---- (sp?) and active pair perfect sock yarn as well as many other weights. I like that they did have a lot of fiber that other shops don't normally carry. They also have roving and Ashford spinning wheels (kiwi 3 and country spinner) and Regis heddle looms. I went to buy a kiwi, and ended up with a lot more! The staff was super nice and allowed me to assemble the wheel in the store. They loaned me tools and had everything else I needed. I know there were ladies doing a sew or knit in in their back room. I didn't participate but listed in. I think they were welcoming of newbies and some of them knew each other a while. If I lived here, it would probably become a hangout for me. This is definitely on my list to stop by whenever I'm in the area. And I'm 100% sure I can get my girlfriends to do a roadtrip to come visit here. I'm so excited to find such a neat shop! When my son attempted to return art supplies that he had purchased for me, he no longer had the…read morereceipt (which I threw away, believing I would be keeping the items), but I do have the credit card statement verifying the purchase. During the interaction, Manager Cheryl assumed that my 18-year-old son had stolen the items because the inventory system indicated that there were still many of those products in stock and because they were located near the door and, in her view, easy to steal. I find this accusation deeply concerning and unprofessional. An inventory discrepancy is an issue with the store's systems and processes, not evidence that a customer has stolen merchandise. Rather than gathering facts and approaching the situation with curiosity and professionalism, Cheryl assumed wrongdoing and treated my son as though he had stolen the items. That assumption was unfounded and ultimately proven incorrect. As a young man, he deserved to be treated with respect and dignity. Given the circumstances, I am particularly troubled by the possibility that implicit bias may have influenced how he was treated. When I later called the store, Cheryl confirmed that her suspicion was based on the inventory count, the location of the items near the door, and the fact that the items did not initially pull up using the credit card. Notably, two of the three reasons Cheryl cited for suspecting my son were entirely related to store operations and management issues, not to any conduct on his part. Instead of acknowledging the seriousness of the accusation, she failed to take accountability and continued to make excuses and talk over me when I was sharing our side of the story. I will be requesting that headquarters review this matter so that other customers are not subjected to a similar experience. Employees, especially managers, should be trained to gather facts before making accusations, communicate respectfully, take accountability when mistakes are made, and treat all customers with dignity and respect. I have documentation of the purchase through my credit card statement.
