It's clear that some source their goods from local estate sales. As an avid estate sale shopper, I have recognized items. One vendor features a framed print that was $65 at an estate (or perhaps half that if they bought it last day) and they are trying to sell for $175! Absurd and outrageous! Today I visited this store with my trained service dog, and before I even reached the door, the…read moreowner immediately began questioning me. After I confirmed she was a service dog, he repeatedly told me that if she peed or pooped, I would have to clean it up, said if she broke anything I would have to pay for it, and even said he could call the police. I calmly explained that service dogs aren't required to have certification papers, but he continued making comments that made me feel singled out and unwelcome. My service dog remained calm and under control the whole time and caused no issues. Because of this my friend and I decided to leave without shopping. I understand businesses have a right to protect their property, but customers with legitimate service dogs should be treated with respect and without harassment.
