Wonderful, well-lit, open floor with a lively atmosphere and contemporary decor. Quick and friendly service. Plus super cute uniforms & apparel for sale (online-only)... Food was fresh and tasty with perfect portions. Overall a great experience!

My partner and I came here on the 2nd day they were open on a Saturday morning and waited ~20 minutes to be seated. We walked in, put our name down on the waitlist and walked back in when we received a text saying a table was ready. When we approached the hostess, the manager was in the middle of explaining the set up of the restaurant and where she should seat people before acknowledging us. After standing in front of them for 5 minutes, we were finally acknowledged and seated in the side room where there were only 3 tables there. The room echoed a lot and you could hear everyone's conversation in that small room. When the server asked for our drink orders, my partner asked for an apple juice, to which the server had misheard him and assumed cranberry juice instead. We corrected her while ordering, but still received a cranberry juice. She later brought back the correct apple juice and asked for our food orders and made the comment that she hadn't seen all the food on the menu yet so she didn't know what is good. We ended up ordering Uncle Moose's Manhandler Skillet with the eggs scrambled / white bread and the Cinnamon Roll pancakes. The skillet was bland and had mostly potatoes at the bottom, which were dry. The Cinnamon Roll pancakes were fine but we were not provided with syrup until we requested it. When the syrup came, it was in an olive oil bottle with a straw stuck into it, which made it difficult to pour. (side note: why isn't the syrup already on the table at a breakfast place that has half their menu of pancakes, waffles, and french toast?) Also, incase the picture doesn't quite show the size of the pancakes, each were the size of a frisbee. When it was time pay for our meal, we asked for the check and looked it over. The server had not charged us for the drink order, to which we assumed was because she had misheard us the first time we ordered and still brought out the wrong drink. So my partner gave the server our card and when he looked the receipt over to check everything before signing/ tipping, he noticed that the total had increased and the server later added the drink without informing us of it. I understand this was their 2nd day opening, but it seemed like there was a lack of training and experience amongst the staff there. The staff also had little to no knowledge about the menu, the establishment, or even what was going on. Based on this whole experience, I don't think it's worth my time going back unless there are drastic improvements.

Establishment was packed, waited about 34-40 minutes for a table. Food was subpar, waiter did their job.

Dear Owner/Manager of Scramblers, not even open a month and you already have two one-star reviews on Google. You are receiving this one because of your host and hostess working guest seating. In case your unaware here's your competition: The Beanery Café I Hope Cracker Barrel Bob Evans Linda's Cafe The Flashback Hidden Harbor I've always appreciated that these restaurants has welcomed solo diners like myself without issue. However, today (07/19/2025 at around 11:20 AM), as a first time customer I had a frustrating experience that I feel compelled to share. When I walked in, I noticed a family of 5-6 waiting for a table, yet there were clearly 4-5 empty tables and booths, as well as a large table that could seat 6-8. After a short wait, the hostess simply said, "There's room at the bar." I declined. Not every solo diner wants to sit at the bar, and frankly, I found the suggestion dismissive. When I asked if I could sit at one of the open booths or tables, I was told there was a 30-minute wait. Looking around, it wasn't clear why--there were no other parties waiting and plenty of open seating. If tables are closed for service or reserved, just communicate that honestly. The lack of transparency made the experience even more frustrating. So I left. I drove to IHOP, was seated immediately, and enjoyed my breakfast there (see attached photo). Whether I return remains to be seen, but I want you to know that today, your front-of-house staff represented your business poorly. You lost a customer before I had a chance to sit down and place an order--and earned a one-star review Not recommended

Stopped in on a Tuesday night; it's our first visit. The place was relatively quiet and there were…read morenot many visitors. It's a very clean establishment and the staff that greeted us were professional and very friendly. We perused the menu and decided on Thai chili mussels and cheesesteak egg rolls for apps, water and a fig martini for our drinks. The egg rolls came with marinara dipping sauce which was different. Both appetizers were good but lacked in flavor. They were both missing an umami flavor that would have elevated them. The eggs rolls specifically could have benefited from more cheese, a better quality of steak (the menu described it as having rib eye but it was very chewy..I know good ribeye has a nice fat cap but this wasn't that), and salt. The mussels had the spice from the red curry paste but again was missing salt. Sea salt or even soy sauce being added would have elevated that dish. It could have also benefited from some fresh garlic and a fresh herb like Thai basil. To note my martini was very sweet. It was comprised of fig vodka which intrigued me but it just wasn't for me. Our mains were the double crab cake dinner and I ordered a Caesar salad with cajun salmon. My salad was executed okay but with one exception: the dressing. I don't know what it was but it was definitely not a classic Caesar dressing. If you love a good Caesar salad you know the dressing is a crucial element to that salad and as much as I was looking forward to this dish, it failed. The salmon was cooked perfectly, there were shards of parm and not shreds which was a welcome addition and the romaine lettuce fell a bit short as well as it wasn't crisp. Overall I finished the salmon but not all of the remainder of the salad. It was just ok but the salmon definitely saved it. My husband had the crab cake dinner and he enjoyed it very much. There was not much filler in them and they were made with lump crab meat..I venture to say maybe even jumbo lump. I tasted them; they were seasoned very well. The dinner came with fingerling potatoes and coleslaw. I didn't get to taste the potatoes because my husband devoured those..so I guess they were good. I had a bit of the coleslaw and it was dressed well and flavorful; the celery seed in it was pronounced and it wasn't overly dressed in sauce which was good; the cabbage and other vegetables were able to retain a nice crunch. All in all we agreed although some things about our meal could be improved, we would certainly come back. There was a nice vibe in there, that allowed for a great laid back early week date night.

Cracker Barrel - Good Meal, Great Service…read more As you can see from my past reviews, it's been quite some time since I've written an update -- though we've eaten here a few times since then. We just hadn't had a meal worth mentioning until this visit. My wife and I took a drive down to Lexington Park and decided to stop into Cracker Barrel for dinner and to exchange a shirt she had purchased for me a few days earlier. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon, but we were greeted quickly by a nice young man who took our drink orders right away. My wife ordered the Maple Bacon Chicken with mac and cheese, and I went with the Fried Chicken Sandwich and fries. Our server was attentive, kept our drinks filled, and was friendly to chat with -- it helped that things weren't overly busy at that moment, so he had some time to check in. Overall, the meal was good and the service made the experience even better. I'm sure we'll be back -- my wife enjoys browsing the store up front, which always has a unique mix of gifts, clothing, and seasonal items.

The other folks were probably skipping church, but we were taking in breakfast before a long ride home to New York. We were quickly seated at a very large table to accommodate our group of seven. Our server was wonderful. He took our orders and got our food out to us lickety-split. And speaking of the food, we all indulged in the big breakfast. My favorite is the old-fashioned with biscuits, sausage, gravy, and eggs. After a very satisfying breakfast, we all got back on the road and said goodbye to Leonardtown Maryland.

They roast their own coffee! Wow! Yum!…read more On a weekend morning (Jun 2026), we were in the vicinity of Solomons MD, and friends said that Bugeye Grill roasts their own coffee. That got our attention! We stopped in at this bright clean restaurant on a late weekend morning, (weekdays they open at 5pm). The French-press coffee was a tasty fragrant medium Brazilian blend. The flavor was well balanced, and it was a good smooth non-acidic coffee We found it to be a creamier fragrant brew, not a darker roasty flavor. It had a lightly malty sweetness and nuttiness, characteristic of its blend of Brazilian arabica, robusta, and hybrid beans. They have different blends from time to time. They really are a full-menu restaurant terrific views of Back Creek, and a midscale-classy vibe. They focus on seafood and steaks and lobster! We saw sandwiches around $20. This time, we came for the coffee. It was luscious!

The restaurant had a nice variety of dishes and specialty cocktails...I think that I was more interested in the latter. ;) Since I have not visited Solomons, MD before, I cannot comment if the prices are comparable to other places in the area. However, most of the entrees were in the $25 and up range. I thought my fish and chips (I forget the actual name of the dish) were fine, and my spouse really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. Although I thought the portion sizes for the sandwiches and fries were fine, the serving size of the mussels seemed a bit small. However, this could have been an optical illusion because the serving bowl for the mussels was HUGE, so the amount of mussels could have appeared to be smaller than what it was. I thought the outdoor patio was great especially with a view of the water and folks going about their business. However, some may not like the setup because you are right on the main street, which can be a bit noisy especially if a lot of bikers are cruising up and down the strip. Parking was a bit of a struggle (not the fault of the restaurant). During our visit, all of the public parking lots were full. However, we visited on Mother's Day weekend so maybe there were more folks (including us ) in the area than normal. I'll admit that since this was my first time visiting the area that I'm not too familiar about the ebb and flow of parking. Overall, our server (who reminded me a bit of a young Jodie Foster) was amazing. One thing that I really appreciated was her telling us about a potential delay for the food due to a large party. Although no one wants to hear that after ordering food, I think it's nice and considerate when a server provides a heads-up so diners can adjust accordingly.
