The beans were another story. They were a congealed mess. "Been sitting at the bottom of the pot all weekend" kinda mess. Burnt tasting and suuuuper spicy. I did enjoy the burnt end flavor, but again, they tasted like they had been siting all weekend, super dry and sad. There was a table outside that offered napkins, forks, and bbq sauce. I wanted to try the bbq sauce but they were in these upside down containers that looked again, like they hadn't seen any love in quite a while. The forks were covered in dirt and the whole area was just, a little scary in the sanitary department if I'm being honest.

The truck says "Eat like a moose" and they mean it. Portion sizes are huge. We made two meals out of everything we ordered. The prices are pretty cheap and very reasonable for what you get. I ordered a combo sandwich with pulled beef brisket and smoked polish sausage. It was huge! The sausage was nice and smoky. The brisket was good and wasn't dry. My boyfriend also got a combo sandwich with brisket and burnt ends. I tried a burnt end and it was quite tender and juicy. Was the meat the best I've ever had? No, but for the price point and the quantity it's definitely good and I'd go back. I'd probably try something other than brisket. For sides we got a small Mac and cheese, a small bbq bean, and a large fry. They said a small serves one, a large serves two. I would argue that the large serves at least 3 and a small could serve two. Again huge portions. The fries were like McDonald's and were delicious. The Mac was ok. It was creamy and had a little spice to it. I'm not a huge fan of bbq beans but my boyfriend enjoyed them. If you're ever in the area, stop by and grab some bbq!

The beef brisket, humongous portion size, amazing flavor, some of the best I've ever had. Five out of five. The bread pudding was amazing. It was a four and a half out of five. The cinnamon roll was pretty good. I'll give it a three and a half out of five. Definitely want to put it in the oven and get it nice and hot. The elote, the corn, was a little tough that day, but had it as a leftover. Got it nice and piping hot, tendered up the corn. I'll give it a 3.5 out of 5, nice flavor. The baked beans didn't have any meat or anything in it like I've seen in the past. Reasonable flavor, three out of five. I'll definitely be coming back to try some of the other features that they offer. It is quite a drive for me, almost 45 minutes, but it's some of the best barbecue I've had in Kansas City.

I ordered the Bourbon Glaze burger and upgraded the fries to add bacon and queso. My husband ordered the spicy avocado burger and also upgraded the fries. My burger was well cooked and seasoned and the bourbon glaze added a hit of sweetness. My only complaint is that the glaze is on the thinner side so my bun was pretty soggy by the time we got home and the glaze is the only wet condiment on the burger, so I ended up adding some mayo. The fries were crispy and salted well and the bacon and queso were great with them. I didn't get to try my husband's burgers, but he said it was delicious and he really liked the cilantro aioli on it. We'll have to give their brick and mortar location a go soon.
