As you walk in you're immediately greeted with a welcome and today's specials. Staff is honest and makes great suggestions. "To go" materials are easily accessible cause you can't really finish your meal (I mean you can, but you better carve out some time for a nap!). They offer catering for celebrations, parties, graduations, or anything you could think of! Place was very clean, and comfortable. While every bbq place in KC offers their own spin, many of which are great, this place just hits better!! It just feels like a small town bbq spot that is hidden; like a speak-easy of BBQ! Picture below is their 2 meat combo with 2 sides (ribs, burnt ends, cheesy corn and tallow fries) $26.

For my sides, I got Mac and cheese, cheesy corn and potato salad. Turkey sandwich was good, per le bf. It had a good smokey flavor and wasn't dry! My brisket was also quite moist with minimal fatty parts, which is what I prefer. Sausage was ok, had to really chew into it. What I'm most disappointed about is the ribs. The ribs were good, but for almost $20, I got 3 pieces. They stated for the ribs plate, you'd get about 3 or 4, depending on the weight, but it would be nice to note that down somewhere that when paying $20, expect 3 pieces. Ive gotten double that and about the same price at other bbq spots, hence my disappointed and surprised when opening the container. Mac and cheese had huge shell noodles, which was cool but on the watery side. Potato salad was decent, got the job done but a little bland. Sauces are also on the tangy side, and if you're a sweet bbq sauce gal like me, it wasn't hitting the spot. Overall was nice giving a try, but will prob be going elsewhere for my bbq needs!

The inside was unique with taxidermed deer heads on the wall and cattle ear tags to denote the table numbers, but overall cozy and comfortable with a nice looking bar. This place is interesting because it's clearly part beer hall (with some giant 30 Oz. Beer mugs), part BBQ joint, and part pizza place. The Spare Tire is one of the best specialty sandwiches you'll find. Traditionally with brisket and ham, I opt to sub out the ham for Turkey. I love the melty provolone, double toasted bun, and the well-seasoned crispy onion straws. The fries are perfect and handcut. The sauces are nice. The baked beans and the cheesy corn are both special and have amazing flavor. The ribs still have the tip attached. The texture is perfect for a spare rib but not ideal for a rib tip. The pulled pork and beef burnt ends are also excellent. I am obsessed with the locally baked bread they serve with their platters. Overall, good BBQ spot and I will be back but now - I want to try the pizza!

Everything is made in-house, you can taste the care, the quality, the cohesion. It's hearty, it's flavorful, it's that "sit back in your seat and stare at your food for a second" kind of good. A true mood booster. This place has mastered the art of a perfect burger. It's its own lane nobody can replicate it. I'd drive an hour for it without hesitation. If you want an authentic, unforgettable burger experience, this is the spot. Period.

And sometimes you like to remember things the way that they were....but they still are! I always bypass busy businesses and Blazers is always busy. A buddy of mine and I were heading to our favorite Gardner cigar lounge and you should never have a cigar in an empty stomach. We walked in and the place was slammed and my first instinct was to bail, but this teenage girl behind the register said "Welcome to Blazers, how may I help you?" with authority and a big smile. I'm hard of hearing, but Jenna was patient and cheerful. Being busy, there was hardly a table available, but suddenly 2 came available and two former busboys pushing 60 sprung into action and cleaned them, but our order taker was quick to finish up for us ( perky and smiling all the while). The burgers were excellent, the crinkle fries were crispy, and a healthy selection of beverages was nice, too. Also, the place has a very happy vibe. This was my best choice of the week, hands down.

I visited them in SW Olathe after checking their social media for upcoming dates and locations. My brisket combo ($11.00) included a brisket sandwich, one side and a canned drink or bottled water. I added a second side ($2.00). The sandwich had a generous quantity of tasty, smoked, lean brisket on a fresh bun. I was surprised to see they did not offer baked beans, but their flavorful potato salad was a stellar substitute. The cole slaw was also first-rate. Two BBQ sauces were available upon request - original and hot. Both were very good and nicely complemented the brisket. I found the service at the window to be friendly, cheerful and efficient with only a two-minute wait for my order. The owners are a couple who operated an award winning food truck in Phoenix for 11 years, so they certainly know what they are doing. They recently moved to the KC area to be near their grandkids. Their slogan is "That's how we do it, son." Overall, excellent!
