We ordered the traditional and chicken Cubanos. They were fabulous. Would definitely go back.

This former food truck is now a brick and mortar spot in Raytown. They serve authentic tacos (with…read morecilantro & onion), burritos, nachos, tostadas and quesadillas. The menu is small but delivers big on flavor and meat offerings: carne asada, al Pastor, ground beef, chicken, shrimp and fish. Vegans have a bean option. On this visit, I had the shrimp tacos. OMG! They brought the heat. Juicy shrimp. The shells looked and tasted like they were grilled which gave more texture along with the spices, cilantro and onion giving my mouth a flavorful party. The meal comes with 3 tacos rice and beans. In a previous visit I'd had the chicken quesadilla and it was yummy. I plan to return to try everything on the menu. The owner said a margarita machine is coming soon. But for now only American and Mexican sodas.

This food truck served up some very good, reasonably priced tacos at a public event in Overland…read morePark. My three street tacos ($2 each including tax) and one fish taco ($3 including tax) were ready eight minutes after I ordered. The ordering process was efficient, with a friendly staff member outside the truck using an iPad with a credit card reader. There was no signing and no touching the iPad, so it was all contact-free. The tacos were nicely packaged, with a nice, medium salsa and lime wedges. The 4" tortillas were soft, moist, and fresh, while the four meats I tried varied greatly in flavor. The al pastor was moist, flavorful, and somewhat spicy with a good portion size (nice!), while the marinated pollo was a little drier (but still good), the grilled tilapia was okay with only a small portion size, and the asada consisted of tiny, over-cooked, dry beef cubes. Bottled water and sodas were available at reasonable prices from their cooler, but there was no seating. Watch their social media sites for their next location. Overall, I'm thinking 3.5 stars and rounding up for the reasonable price.

As transplants from another state, and BBQ not being our first language, we wanted to try new things! They came to the table and we were all sort of perplexed. Were they supposed to look like...that? Either way, we dug in. They were cold in the middle, also a strange discovery to us. I ordered the burnt ends, which came to the table closer to cold than warm. The blue cheese potato salad was tasty and all it needed was a lil salt and pepper to make it perfect. All was going well, until my husband was about 4-5 bites into his brisket wrap. He asked me to smell it, and I did. It was funky! Smelled a lot like a foot and not a lot like a tortilla. He asked the server to smell it and they agreed it was a bit odd. The manager came over and denied it smelling like anything. My husband had finished his meal, and we weren't looking for a freebie but wanted to let them know it was a lil weird. Instead of acknowledging the potential issue, we were dismissed as "wrong." It just didn't sit right with me. My husband had some definite issues in the hour or two after eating, so we won't be back. I won't say it was food poisoning because genuinely it could have just not agreed with my husband. I'll put my disclaimer on here, I hope people do enjoy and continue to patronize this small business, it's just not to my liking.
