This is SO much better than all of the craptastic ones that my parents took me to when I was a kid…read more Most dojos/academies have one of two basic problems: they're either so strict that very few young kids will stay motivated and interested with their "boot camp" style, or they are so lax and unprepared that they can't even break basic moves down into their composite movements and posture. Inspiration not only keeps it fun and exciting for kids, but also provides extensive instruction on how to execute every segment of every maneuver. They also teach everything from social and life skills to personal safety in non-violent situations as well as the physical ones. Kids and adults learn and advance at their own pace, and they have a variety of packages from basic TKD to sparring, weapons, hyper (trick/stunt styles) and kickboxing and Krav Maga for older kids and adults. You can also choose from a basic 2 classes per week or a more intensive schedule. Please remember that you get what you pay for. The tuition is about 2-3 times what I had initially intended to pay, but the results as well as support system are well worth it, and they do have payment plans with multiple options to help you to afford their fees. They also have great family rates so that your while family can train for around the same price as 2 or 3 people, depending upon which package you choose. For the first time since I became a parent, I finally have a team that is able to reinforce the lessons I teach my sons, both positive and disciplinary. You can also see the results by the number of district/state/world champions who have trained here, as well as by the roles their students take on in the community. My youngest son used to be very wild and disobedient in comparison to his brothers. My middle son was beaten up about twice a week in his old school, and the administration did nothing to correct the problem. My oldest son wanted an outlet to grow his athletic and leadership skills. Inspiration ATA has helped us to take care of all of that and more. This is probably the best investment I've ever made...and I hold multiple college degrees including an M.A. If you are willing and able to make the investment in their programs, the dividends reaped will far outweigh the costs. In addition to fitness and self defense, your child will develop self-confidence/self-esteem, respect, discipline, vision, teamwork, leadership, community responsibility, academic focus, and so much more. I love my boys, and as of this writing, this is probably the best choice that I have ever made for their growth, development, and well-being as they become more independent and capable adults.

Ok so I've been waiting a while to actually write my review for ATA…read more I just wanted to make sure this would be a great review lol. My son has been attending ATA now for over 6 months. Back in May I found a Groupon for them and we decided to try it out. My son HAD Depression/anxiety, thinking he wasn't good enough to do anything in life( deep i know). I'm stressing the had bc without it him coming here I'm sure he would still have depression and anxiety. So the rundown went like this: your child starts out in the beginners class(new student) They are in that class until one of the amazing instructors says it's time to join the jr basic or black belt club. My son picked the black belt club he wanted more of a challenge and plus his class of the other 5 were all going so it was great for them to stay together. Also they have a super adorable tigers class for those cute little 3year olds. Ok so really I believe it what they say that martial arts can really help a child with self improvement. Thanks to Mr. Keene is wife Mrs. Keene, Mr. Greene & Mr. Jaucian for really truly pushing my son in the best way he has really changed in such a positive way and looks forward to coming to class every week. I recommend anyone who wants to get their child Into martial arts look into coming and being part of the ATA family.

I have 2 kids on spectrum who I'm always nervous can't stay on task like the typical kids, or who may look different. Everyone is appreciated for their hard work. There is no criticism, there is always praise, recognition and corrections are done in a discrete private way so kids don't even feel like they're doing things "wrong". Karate dave is a kid whisperer! Heck he's a people whisperer, the kids and parents can't help but hang on every word and direction he gives. He's stern but fun and he "sees" each kid, and the kids recognize that. He makes connections with them that come so natural to him. You can tell that he is all about the kids. I love listening to my kids being taught integrity, responsibility and self control. I currently have 3 kids enrolled and we are going on 2 months loving it! There are tables for parents to sit at, or chairs around whole mat. They welcome parents to help kids or hold up sparring mits for kids.
