But then the pieces started to fall in place. Distance, control, game strategy, consistency all started to improve. Gradually at first and then significantly now. Typically a high 90s low 100s in the past, I'm now consistently low 90s upper 80s. My handicap has dropped 5 strokes. I've added 20 yards plus to all my irons. Better control and distance off the tee. I'm really enjoying the game. Only criticism would be that the video technology isn't quite what you see on line and no forward projection of shot performance. Time to renew my lesson package, and I'll be sure to sign up with DK and GolfTec again.

I came here for a semi-private event soon after X-Golf opened. I've played golf almost my entire…read morelife, am not new to practice facilities, know how to swing a club, etc. This is definitely an elevated, more curated golf experience than your standard Top Golf or public range. They do offer their own clubs to hit with, but you are better off bringing your own, unless you make friends with someone who has much better $$$$ clubs. Their tech gives you access to most of the world's best courses and fairly easy buttons to adjust your setup. Our event definitely had it good, because in chatting with a member, it's like $200+/month. For the average golfer that seems out of range. To my POV, they balance the membership with a solid, affordable food and bev menu. The staff were kind and definitely hope I can come back for another event.

Something has changed. I could always go to PGA Superstore for help in choosing the right club or…read morepicking out a reasonable priced, PGA brand outfit. But not yesterday. I was looking for well-priced, nice-looking shorts; went to the large back area where the PGA brand is displayed. Huge selection for men. Women's PGA clothing was only along the wall in the very back. Pricing for men's shorts? As low as $39.00. For women? None as low as $39. They were priced at $72! I asked the sales guy about where the $39 shorts were for women. His response? "I don't know ... I don't know all the prices in the store." I found 2 associates, a woman and an older man, in conversation and interrupted them to share this experience. The woman was surprised and disappointed; said, "here's the guy who can really help." His response, "Aw no, they don't care about this stuff." Started to make an excuse. My response? "There's a name outside on this building that stands for something and I sure thought it was service and quality in the game of golf.... Which both men and women play." I am so disappointed in PGA Superstore ... but I maybe they have changed their business model... and maybe it IS a store for men.

You can start off on the practice putting green, and then there are 18 putting greens to play on. Each green is a two putt par. Apparently, you can compete with others who play there for prizes. You get a score for par as well as a much larger score for a single putt. My friend and I just scored our exact putts... but no matter which way you play it you'll have a blast! To top it off, they have a bar and food. Sean, the bartender, was absolutely outstanding. He recommended one of his cocktails, the blueberry lemon drop, and it did not disappoint! Reading it I had no desire to try it, and he convinced me how good it was... I ended up having two! Additionally, we got the nachos. I cannot recommend these enough. I ordered a margarita - which was a little watered down, but I also feel like I'm to blame because I didn't drink it fast enough. It's a bit intimidating to be a senior lady who is starting out but Joel made me very comfortable and he really seemed to have the ability to assess my swing and then give me simple recommendations to correct issues. He was very clear, patient and very professional. I am looking forward to signing up for additional lessons in the future. I liked that they take the students out to a more private area where you can feel less intimidated. I would highly recommend. My son and I attended their four day school and it was beyond any of our expectations. I have played golf for the past 15+ years and my son played a bit when he was younger, but he has not picked up a club for at least ten years. They have a max 4:1 student:instructor ratio, which gives the pros plenty of time to give each student the attention they need. My son just wanted to be able to play with friends and clients and not shank it off the tee. In four days, he only had one errant tee shot and, by the end of class, he was hitting 220+ off the tee, and straight! Both of our short games improved dramatically over the four day school. My goals were to get another 10-15 yards off the tee and to improve my short game, both of which I accomplished, and more. The pace is perfect, with four hours of instruction each morning and then a tee time to play every afternoon. The instructors took a sincere interest in each one of us in our group and the entire experience was well beyond both of our expectations. Also, when I went to sign up, I had a lot of questions and spoke with Scott on the phone. He spent a lot of time with me and left nothing unanswered. If you are looking for a fun and productive golf school, this is the one for you. Also, if you are going with friends or family members who are at different levels, from never hitting to single digit, you will all benefit and have a great time!!
