Avoid Vulcan Tire & Automotive in Moody, AL at all costs…read more This shop damaged my wheels twice during basic tire service. The first time in 2023, they admitted it and had to repaint my wheels due to scratches from careless weight removal. Fast forward to 2025, I returned for a simple tire rotation + balance and now all four wheels are scratched again, identical damage patterns. This time, they flat-out refused to take responsibility, even with clear photo evidence and a history of the exact same issue documented on their own service receipt. Their customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. They refused to escalate, resolve, or even acknowledge the issue. If you care about your wheels, go somewhere else. I'm now stuck paying for another repair because of their negligence and refusal to own up. Photos and documentation are available, feel free to contact me. Do not trust them with your wheels.

I cannot say enough about this place. Today on my attempt to head back to Houston it was discovered…read moreat another shop that my tire was tearing apart. Stopped by Vulcan to get a second opinion which they confirmed it was in bad shape. Usual protocol is tire truck comes next day, but not at Vulcan ... these guys jumped in the truck and went and picked up tires for me and get me back on the road the same day. My family and I will never spend another dollar elsewhere. Best shop I've ever been to!

These guys had a great selection of tires for me to choose from - I got Michelin Defenders, which Consumer Reports says are awesome tires. I needed to have all four replaced because the tread was so low (I'll never get Hankook tires ..) and they did great. Josh was great - they fixed me up and I got a great price.

Windham & Bush Tire and Auto is a new business in my area and I've been passing by it every day…read morewaiting for it to open. The address says East Ventura, but technically it's at the corner of John Rodgers Drive and Hwy 11 (Gadsden Hwy.), between Birmingham and Trussville. In my opinion, going to a smaller place like this is more convenient than going to a dealership and prices are comparable to, if not less expensive than, those Express Lube places. I figure if I'm gonna give someone $30 to do a job, I'd rather give it to small business owners than a corporate franchise. Right? Right! Remember when you were a kid and there were auto shops where everybody knew everyone and they knew all about your cars AND your families? That's what this place feels like! I met Mr. Bush and he's is the nicest man! The day I came in was Customer Appreciation Day and there were sodas and fried fish plates for everyone! The place was packed! What an awesome way to have a GRAND OPENING! Mr. Windham and Mr. Bush have been working in and managing auto repair business 30+ years. I came in to get a tired patched and originally I was told it might be about an hour and 30 minutes or so. However, they got to me sooner than expected and the wait wasn't bad at all. Really nice comfy waiting area with lots of natural light and a coffee machine!! LOL! If you live on this side of town and need brake repair, oil change, alignment, A/C repair and a number of other things, give this place a try! I know I'll be back because I think I found my new auto repair shop!

After what seemed like months of research I found Ward Brothers... a couple of things made me go…read morewith them. The size trailer I bought was a 7x12 dovetail, and the first thing it was a true 7x12 unlike the box stores.. once I got home and measured the total width is 8' including the tires.... Oh and the tires are something you would see on a full size truck.. the durability of the trailer was next, when I say this is commercial grade... believe it! This is not your typical big box store angle iron trailer. It is well built and weighs 1090 something dry. It also has a double lock type coupler... it has a bracket that goes over the coupler as a band but it also has a hook on the lock part for double security... in other words you know it's locked and secure. Now that I have the reasons I bought from them... the lat is price... I got this trailer about 500 less than a box store for similar size... theirs was 6.5x12. So if you are looking for a quality built trailer this is your place!!!

The management was very helpful in December,2023 when she showed me the wormed out condition of the car's brake pads and rotors. Customer service is always patient and willing to answer questions about the car.

If you're in the Birmingham area, definitely head to Mavis for your car issues - top notch customer service. Jerich - you're the absolute best and I can't thank you enough!
