Talk about the 3 c's! Clean, comfortable and cute! Thanks to Yelp, it sure made choosing a hotel room for the night a whole lot easier. Thanks to the owners, and operators of this place, it surely ranks as one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. So clean, that I was super cautious not to disrupt the flow of cleanliness. The rooms are spacious with modern decor. All the little details one looks for in a hotel room are here, and add up to a plus plus for me. Microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, flat screen TV, extra pillows, room to walk, and even a little night light. Why the 4 stars? Though it is conveniently located off a major roadway, it is the very roadway traffic one hears during the night. Overall, a good option to choose.

We loved our stay here. The owner Anna was wonderful and attentive, from my first phone call to her to the moment we checked out. The room was ideal - clean and comfortable. I left my phone charger in our room after check out and Anna called me within 5 minutes to tell me! It's obvious the owners take pride in this property. I will definitely be staying here again!

If only every place was this nice. Very nicely painted & furnished. Outstanding water pressure, plenty of hot water. Wifi, cable, icebox, microwave and many electrical outlets. The beds are comfy. Beautiful setting! I'm pleased & thoroughly satisfied.

I stayed at the Scottish Inns for one night for a nearby wedding I was going to. It was a perfectly decent stay for the price. Most of the wedding party for the Port Jervis event stayed at the Best Western or Hampton Inn, but it was still a little out of my price range for just one night's sleep. Everything was clean and all I needed was the AC to work, so no worries there. The TV had a good range of channels as well. Kind of annoying - the woman who checked me in asked me three different times if I was the only room occupant. For some reason, she was super suspicious that I would be camping and bringing a bunch of people back with me (which, by the way, even if I did have one extra person come, I paid for the room, so it shouldn't matter). Anyway, they're sticklers about room occupancy here FYI.

The bartender looked at us like o' here are some more. Not friendly, did not say a word, just ignored. That was not a good start to the night. We went to check in for our reservation and the hostess was actually the manager. She sat us and was very nice. Our table was not cleaned from the people before us. It was sticky and had crumbs on it. Once we notified her she rushed back to clean it. She actually took our drink order, and our food order. Our waiter was alright, overwhelmed and not too engaging. That did not bother me, but he was not what I would say made the night. We ordered the 3 filets, the risotto and beef, and the beef meal. The filets were burnt on the outside med inside. Out of 5 I would say 2. The risotto my wife loved. It tasted good well prepared. The beef meal was good too. I say way to much salt, but that because I have high blood pressure. We ordered desserts. I had the cheese cake which the filling was good the crust horrible. My daughter took the tiramisu, which was disgusting. I feel that the baker added too much alcohol. The outside was crusty hard, the inside gooey. My wife took the gelato raspberry, that is what we all enjoyed. Now when it comes to food and dessert there are good days and bad days, but for the price it should not had been that bad. I am not sure if I will go back again.

Cons: -heat/thermostat isn't consistent... it blows directly on the bed closest to the window so that part of the room gets super hot while the bathroom area is still cold. You have to turn it way up to get the room up to warm and then turn it down. -tv is limited as far as commercial-free channels and you cannot stream or mirror. -the black out curtains did not reach the windowsill so light crept in right at eye level in the morning. Also they did not overlap and we had to close them with a hair-clip. -No snack shop in the lobby- just vending machines that only take singles. The front desk kindly made change for us. -The saline pool smelled weird... -we booked another night and I called the front desk early in the morning to keep the same room, and they said it was ok, i checked-in online and all looked good, so we went back to sleep and then the front desk kept calling because it wasn't going through on her end and said i had to come down... so i did and then showed her that it worked on my app and she said oh, ok then. I cannot remember the last time I used a TV in a hotel, but there was a MLB baseball game on TBS that night so I turned it on. The picture quality was like an old analog TV. It was like looking through a lens covered with Vaseline. When I looked in the back of the set, the signal from DISH was coming in the antenna coax instead of HDMI, which explains the quality (see photo). The lights weren't bright enough to read in bed. I turned it on and was treated to the churning, bubbling strains of the badly maintained heater chorus for a few hours. When I woke up, it was pleasantly warm. The road goes right past the door, but the traffic is scarce and you couldn't hear much (if any) of it anyway. The water in the shower was hot enough to scald, if you wanted it to.
