I planned a corporate retreat here with one of my internal teams. I cannot say enough about this property. The cottages are gorgeous. The food is outstanding and the staff is second to none!! We were there for 5 days and our whole group was ready to move in! The cooking class with chef Becky was so great. Game night with Justin was a blast!! Every meal we had blew our minds. The grounds are stunning, the food is amazing, but it's the staff that really make the experience. I cannot wait to come back with more teams and eventually my family!

Incredible experience and highly personalized service. Very all-inclusive, with tons of activities and beautiful nature to enjoy. The grounds and landscape are just stunning. We stayed in their Garden Suite and it was wonderfully cosy with just the right mix of rustic charm but also modern amenities and conveniences like a kitchen setup and updated bathroom. The staff is incredibly sweet and always willing to help provide suggestions and even remembered our names. Meals are part of the package and the food is incredible and so fresh! Truly farm to table dining, and very high end quality and plating. On par with any top notch fine dining restaurant. Each day featured unique new dishes (except breakfast options which was mostly consistent except for daily special) and in particular their salads were super crisp and fresh. Activity wise it is truly a fantastic spot for a variety of outdoors events -- from hiking, to boating on the lake, to recreational sports like tennis or basketball. Never had a shortage of activities to engage with. It's pricey but it's a very stress-free all-inclusive experience so you can focus on what matters -- enjoying your vacation. Overall adored our experience and would love to return! Thank you for hosting us!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Cedar Lakes for our anniversary after eyeing photos of it on social media for months and we cannot get over the experience we had there. The staff: The staff at cedar lakes went ABOVE and beyond. We arrived at the property and were immediately handed champagne with berries in it. We were given a welcome packet and found out that they surprised us with an upgrade right off the bat. We walked into our newly assigned cabin and were blown away. The staff left us a beautiful greeting card that wished us a happy anniversary and delicious chocolates to snack on. We had the best conversations with the employees throughout our stay. Everything we said in passing was taken to heart. We had a conversation with the bar manager about growing up and eating apple cider donuts and then woke up the next day to them at our table. We spoke to a bartender about our love of battleship and got back to the room after our hike to it waiting for us on the table. Everyone was great, but the treehouse staff in particular really made a difference in our stay. Special shout-out to the game night team and Hans the bartender. The food: The food was STELLAR. Each new meal was better than the last. My boyfriend and I both have some really confusing dietary needs and CLE made sure they were being met. We were always satisfied at the end of each meal. The drinks were equally impressive! The cabins: Comfy, spacious and clean! Housekeeping came 2x a day, and left chocolate on our pillows for us at night. The room was well stocked with drinks and snacks that were priced appropriately (not like typical mini bars). The TV was a smart tv and we had access to Hulu, Netflix, Disney plus etc. They even left us bowls and a bed for our dog to use! The beds were so comfortable too, and the linens were great! If you are looking to stay here with your family, the larger cabins are fantastic and offer a great balance of privacy and shared space! The property: Even on gloomy days, the beauty of the property still came through. The buildings were well kept and decorated beautifully. The Campfires and fireplaces were always lit which we loved! There were endless board games to take advantage of, and the complimentary activities were fantastic! We loved taking advantage of the private hiking trails, the tennis courts, the curling and game room. We cannot wait to return to CLE and have not stopped raving about our stay to our friends and families! Thank you cedar lakes for a memorable anniversary trip!

    Our lovely room!

The property is amazing and the staff is fantastic. Dropping the star as the food is hit and miss and everything is wayyyyy overpriced.

From the very…read morebeginning, Rick (the owner) was so helpful and always available whenever we had questions or needed guidance. He truly cares about the couples who get married on his property, and it shows. Amber was also incredible--she knew every detail of the venue inside and out and became our day-of coordinator. Thanks to her, the day flowed seamlessly, and we never had to worry about a thing. Her organization and calm presence allowed us to just enjoy every moment. The property itself is absolutely stunning. Our first look photos by the waterfall were breathtaking, and everywhere you turn feels like a perfect backdrop for photos. Guests couldn't stop talking about the cows, which ended up being such a unique and fun highlight for everyone. The Barn at Indian Ridge offers the perfect mix of rustic charm, natural beauty, and wonderful people who genuinely want your day to be perfect. Choosing this venue was the best decision we made, and we will forever be grateful for the memories we made here.

He met with the future couple several times, recommended his choices for catering and floral arrangements but also explained she could use anyone she wanted. She went with his suggestions and hired from his short list and all did great, no, fantastic jobs. The grounds themselves are stunning and pristine. This place is on three hundred acres and far enough from the road and neighbors that there is no concern about how loud you might get while celebrating. During the cocktail hour there were two corn hole games set up which a lot of us had fun trying out. The staff was really attentive and friendly. Everything went off without a hitch. I cannot say enough about the owner Ricky and the simple things he did to be one step above the rest. He had them leave one of their trucks there and had the staff pack up all the gifts and belongings of theirs so they could leave and continue the party without needing to worry about it. The next day when my wife and I took out new daughter back to pick up her truck, he showed up and spent time asking her if she was happy with how things went, and was just friendly and engaging with her, who, was ecstatic with the event and venue and just wanted to talk to him. He hung out and help us pack up the last few items too. His staff also climbed up the ladders into the rafters to take down the flower boxes she built so we did not have to go up there ourselves. All in all, our experience here was great. I have seen some of the photos that were taken and this location as the background was perfect. If you are looking for a venue you could not do any better. There are plenty of hotels withing a short driving distance and he mentioned to us he is planning to put in Glam camping tents as well as buying trailer homes so people could rent and stay right on the grounds. Definitely worth a look!

Nice lake, the rest is a disaster…read more The listing says there are 115 acres of nature trails (elswhere it says 120 acres). Prior to my visit when I asked about a trail map, there was no response. Upon arrival at the property, the only trail I was told of was the one that led from the cabin to the lake. This is very misleading, A big part of the reason I booked this place was the nature trails. Post-visit I was told no one has ever asked about a trail map before. Over 100 acres of trails and no map or markers or signage except for the lake trail. That's ridiculous. The cabin needed cleaning. There were spiderwebs in bathroom. Webs in the corners of the bedroom ceiling, a cobweb hanging from the ceiling. These webs looked like they had been there a while. The ceiling fan was covered in dust. I booked a cabin to be able to have use of the full kitchen. The microwave door handle was hanging on by a thread. It appeared someone had previously attempted to fix it with glue, which obviously did not work well. The shower handle came off in my hand, but I was able to put it back on. The toilet was running and then stopped working. Eventually, someone came to fix the toilet. The next day, the toilet stopped flushing again. The kitchen window did not close all the way, allowing bugs to come in. The screen of the screen door is not attached, and the door does not close flush with the door frame. It was not possible to have front door open because there was ample room for bugs to come in. The listing says "Peace and Quite!!! Very Private". It was not private, it wasn't even quite quiet. There is a good amount of streetnoise, the cabin is set very close to the road. Bring earplugs. Private? No. It is a very short walk to the playground because the playground is directly across the street. A fence separates you from house next door, clear view of their home and yard. Not nearly as secluded as you'd think. They asked if I would not leave a negative review in exchange for a refund. I don't do hush money. People deserve to know what to expect from this place.
