Once where I was headed She swore I would regret it Though what might happen she wouldn't foretell. The old place it was vicious Wicked and pernicious "Please stay clean of that rank abbatoir" Though her words alarmed me I was stuck until morning And in the end we must be who we are. With no light on the door I wasn't quite sure If a night clerk was working within From behind a red curtain Limped a perilous person He appeared to have some egg on his chin This old yankee warlock Brushed back a gray forelock And bid me to sign in the book With no bonhomie He proffered the key Never once did he give me a look. I thanked the old codger And in my role as the lodger I headed upstairs for to sleep There was no air of slumber The doors, they had no numbers Which room was intended for me? The passage kept on going Like the carpet was flowing Towards that thing at the end of the hall My own eyed had adjusted This account can be trusted Because I know that I saw what I saw. I heard animal noises And tangled up voices Chanting more and of rumors of more There's no natural law That can explain what I saw Spread out on that straw-covered floor. Now I've put an ocean Between myself and Goshen To get away from the Farmer's Hotel If you get a nation To travel to Goshen Please stay away from the Farmer's Hotel The lights went out in Goshen Just like poetry in motion And I checked into the Farmer's Hotel Things to unclean Are better left unseen Please keep away from the Farmer's Hotel

This was our first time visiting this campground and we would definitely not recommend. Right off…read morethe jump staff seemed very discombobulated. There was lack of hospitality and friendliness when checking in. They hand you your keys and it's basically a free for all. No welcome, no "let me show you around" basically a "find it yourself". For Father's Day weekend the Sun Retreats web page posted there would be a welcome gift to all dads. This was not the case, no one knew anything about this which was extremely misleading. The only good thing about this campground was the water park where we spend more of our time. With a 2.5 hr drive and $1000 to rent a camper for the weekend with a golf cart I would never come back here. I'd only come back here If you want to get nickled and dimed by employees who have no clue what is going on half the time.VERY DISAPPOINTING. SAVE YOUR MONEY! ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION. When we booked this campground in February it was a JELLYSTONE PARK. And They never informed us that there was a company change to Sun Retreats. We only realized this a week or two before our arrival in June. If you are looking for a true Jellystone park experience you will not find it here.

People drive fast here, and the roads are back country type. Not the safest. I was also curious about what rental was like, bc I was thinking about coming back with friends in the spring for hiking. Immediately, a kid comes over and makes it known that I'm unwelcome. I tell her my situation and she leaves. Then before I could even leave (!), an aggressive weirdo on a golf cart, comes over and lets me know that I can't be there for just a minute to get my bearings and leave. "That happens on the public roads," he says. And "we only rent to friends". I don't recommend staying here unless you enjoy a hostile, cult-like "welcome". And if you're a member of the public, bc apparently they don't want you there.

There is plenty of relaxing entertainment - hammocks already set up, horseshoes, playground, pool, and they had live entertainment on the weekend. The campground is nice. Not too large, not too tiny. Has 1 shower house, and 2 sets of restrooms in the main area. Large pool, and it's easy to get places from there. The only downside I found was that for some campsites you have to straddle a ditch when pulling in, so you need to be a bit careful. Definitely recommend!
