    Unsafe cord situation

Nice sized room, thick and soft towels. Quiet location. Owner was flexible on breakfast time my first morning. Appreciated the complimentary water and soda. Was not impressed with the breakfasts, bed and pillows uncomfortable. Shower head gross, cords/outlets seemed unsafe. Outside landscaping needs attention.

This is now my new favorite bed and breakfast. My husband and I went here to go to Warwick winery (very close by) and celebrate our anniversary. (Which I also highly recommend what a great winery!) The grounds of this home are beautiful! The bed is so comfortable! We woke up in the morning to a beautiful breakfast home made scones (still hot) coffee, poched pear, oatmeal with chai and then hash-browns frittata and sausage ... breakfast was an hour long and so delicious & enjoyable.. we can't wait to return ! They have a fridge with waters and soda (some light refreshments) no extra charge, I thought that was great. We went to Warwick winery (4miles away) we arrived to the bed and breakfast early, they allowed us to drop our things and check in later. There is so much do to in Warwick, I'm looking up upcoming events to go back! Oh! And they have WiFi! Very important service is limited in the area (we needed it to call cabs and look up events)! That was a great plus This place had all the nice little extras and amazing breakfast ... which made this our favorite bed and breakfast ... highly recommend ! Lastly the hosts were so nice and pleasant, great to talk to and appreciated his warm welcome !

Delightful host and wife, Bob and Clara (Bunny), ready to help in any way. Delightful home from 1880's has plenty of character. A/c unit in each bedroom, and teenie private bathroom. Perfect for 3 nights of exploring Warwick and JW world headquarters.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cider Mill Inn. Everything was just perfect and we will definitely return for another stay in the near future! Thank you Bob ( wife, daughter and puppy!). Pat & Ken Hayes

Bug infested. Look at these pics and you tell me if you would stay here.

The staff is so friendly and provided us with recommendations. I walked in to find a personally written note welcoming us. The lodge was super quiet, and it had the best soap and lotion. Our room was perfect for a single or couple, since it is cozy. Picture, a studio. Yes, perfect. Like that. There were windows with sunlight pouring in, and beautiful planters and fresh flowers everywhere. I noticed when you walk in, there are boxes of water and tea available for us. I have to say that our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. I believe we were the only couple there, yet still, it was so wonderful. It is also located within driving distance of a lot of great farm-to-table restaurants and also cideries. The downstairs brunch location is right next to a cafe so you can buy pastries and coffee. I highly recommend it.

The only down comment I'd like to make is that if you are a big person or are claustrophobic, do NOT book the Fox and Hound room. They were welcoming and we were greeted even though we didn't check in until 9:30ish. We opted to have our breakfast delivered to the room since we like to lounge around in the mornings. This was our FAVORITE part of the whole weekend! The first morning, we had scrambled eggs, sausage, and fresh fruit with blueberry pancakes. The second morning, we had stuffed french toast with bacon and fruit. Can I just say that I still crave both dishes, even after a month? They were the tastiest pancakes and stuffed french toast ever! Plus, we had a cute little view of the pond from our room. Long story short, I would highly recommend taking a weekend trip here. We booked the Appalachian Room and it had a fairly large jacuzzi as well, so that was a plus.

Natalie and Rich were friendly, welcoming and offered us activities nearby (breweries, wineries, cideries, hiking locations), although we spent our evenings by the fireplace sipping on hot chocolate. The breakfast was delicious and just the overall experience has been so positive and perfect. If you're looking for a scenic, relaxing, cozy B&B to stay, look no further. I stayed here because I wanted to be away from the masses and crowds, and the Waterstone Inn fit the bill perfectly. The inn is literally across from the lake, so makes for a perfect summer or weekend getaway. The inn provides kayaks and canoes free of charge to go out on the lake. I communicated with Maureen before my stay and she was very quick to answer any questions. She was an absolute delight to converse with throughout my stay. She mentioned they weren't sure if they'd reopen after 2020, but they invested more money into the property and made some renovations to make the place more comfortable for guests, despite being an older property. All rooms/suites have a private bathroom and locks for privacy. I stayed in the spacious Bradford Suite on the 3rd floor, but all the rooms they offered seemed equally delightful to stay in when I took a peek. The place is so small and cozy that I didn't encounter any other guests except during breakfast hours (I think only one other room was occupied mid-week). Breakfast is included and is delicious...the food is freshly made to order. There are plenty of places to sit for breakfast whether it be a couch in the lounge, the window-side tables with lake views, or the front porch. The nautical and lake themes throughout the property were very well thought out and tasteful to give you a "getting away" type of feel. The porch area is welcoming and the perfect place where you can enjoy spectacular views of the action on the lake. The property has a parking lot on property directly adjacent to the inn which always felt safe and secure. The town of Greenwood Lake on the NJ/NY border is very cute, and was the filming location of a lesser known recent movie starring Morgan Freeman called the Magic of Belle Isle. All staff I encountered were amazingly welcoming, so I wouldn't hesitate to run as small businesses like these deserve to be supported.

Located on the bucolic outskirts of Warwick, NY, which is only 1.5 hours from NYC, Dorothy, the proprietor will welcome you and your pet dog into her cozy farmhouse. Unlike some B&B's that have priceless Ming vases and precious breakables, Meadowlark is more farm like--Dorothy loves dogs, has two of her own (both friendly), and isn't concerned about your dog roaming the house, or the enclosed outside property and garden. She also has a gorgeous and friendly horse that trots around an enclosed area on the other side where the dogs can roam. The breakfast is above average B&B fare - peach pancake pie one morning and a potato/zucchini/cheese bake the next day. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. We stayed in the King Room, which has its own bathroom. The other two rooms share a bathroom. Warwick is only about a half hour drive over to the Port Jervis area where you and your pup can raft the Delaware River (see my Indian Head Canoe review for more info on that). Other fun stuff in Warwick -- there's an old fashioned drive-in movie theater and you can bring your pup to watch the movie with you in your car, and a lot of people brought their dogs to frolic on the ample grass fields. Warwick Valley Winery is dog friendly and makes good hard cider. And the town of Warwick itself is fun for a few hours. The surrounding area is gorgeous and pastoral. Right outside of Meadowlark Farm is a beautiful lightly trafficked road that makes a great country walk with your dog before starting the day's activities. There's also a dog park very close by. Makes a terrific weekend with just a small amount of driving and a lot of quiet country enjoyment. ,

Before going into detail about the location and accommodations, I have to rave about how charming Alice, the host, is. She happily greeted us with the warmest smile, and throughout our stay, we could easily feel how sweet and genuine this woman is. She always made sure we had everything we needed, and offered ideas of things we could do around the area. Upon our arrival, she asked if we had any food preferences for breakfast. The living area was everything you'd imagine from a lakefront B&B. A spiral staircase led us up to the cozy, second floor private suite. It was filled with sunlight, and offered a beautiful view of Greenwood Lake. The queen sized bed, adjoining bathroom and shower, small living room, and modern kitchen were perfect for our little getaway from NYC. The following morning, Alice invited us into her home for breakfast. She was so hospitable and offered us cereal, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee while we waited for eggs and toast. Most people would feel uncomfortable sitting in someone's dining room while the host prepares breakfast, but Alice really made us feel at home. My boyfriend and I were grinning ear to ear throughout our entire breakfast, as we soaked in all the good energy and enjoyed our conversations with Alice. After breakfast, we took the canoe out on the lake and enjoyed a relaxing morning out on the water. The views from the middle of the lake were breathtaking, and it was easily one of my most favorite parts of our weekend getaway. We are both so happy that we were able to experience our first B&B with Alice, as she was more than just a host to us. During our short stay with her, we were able to learn more about her, and share pieces of our lives with her. We made so many wonderful memories at Alice's, but the experience wouldn't have been the same without her. Not only is she a gracious host, but also a kindhearted, admirable woman. We plan on keeping in touch, and we already can't wait for our next visit! You can search for her page on AirBnB.
