The main downside on the room was that the bed was on some kind of metal frame that echoed loudly when touched. The bed itself was comfortable. The staff was nice and directed us to the parts of town with restaurants. There is no breakfast, but the front desk has coffee, tea, oatmeal, popcorn and Honeybuns for the guest.

Unable to get to the town due to the flooding it took numerous phone calls with the hotel to get them to agree on a 2 room credit. This was not an easy task, despite the town being flooded and all roads blocked they said sorry we are open and it's our policy when you cancel day of not to reimburse. So we agreed to take the two room credit. Our first credit was able to be used. It took two phone calls to arrange but nevertheless they agreed to honor one credit. When I attempted to use the next credit they said it was lost. All room credits need to be used in same year (2023). So they received $180 we couldn't use originally because a flooding disaster and provided no service in return. This is a case of a business who knows despite what they do it won't matter because of the proximity to a University/tourist attraction like West Point. They don't care about customer service, or updating the hotel etc, they will get the tourists and the families who visit students money regardless. Throughout my communication they have been rude and spoke with a tone that was not professional. Again they can do this because they know all rooms will continue to be booked. So I know this review won't have an impact on the hotel but I firmly believe you get what you give. Sooner or later the hotel management will get a return on all the negativity they have given.

The hosts are not overly friendly, but they are extremely helpful and not intrusive. There was a really nice outdoor area with a Koi pond, but it was too cold to check it out. The food was good. Each morning they serve a hot meal with some bakery item, along with juice and coffee/tea. Cereal was available for those who would like it. Snacks (cookies, and pretzels) were also available in the common room anytime, as well as sodas and coffee or tea. Cream sherry and ice water are placed in the room daily. My only complaint, which is why they received 4 starts instead of 5, was that our mattress was kind of on the hard side. I won't up with a stiff back the second day I was there. The town was interesting. It's has a large immigrant blue collar population, and people were friendly. There were some very good restaurants that our hosts at the B&B suggested and we had great meals. A farmers market is open during the summer and we got to meet some town people there who were very nice. The price was average for a B&B but a little pricey for lodging. We would stay there again.

We were greeted by two young ladies (dressed in ripped jeans and sweatshirts) who showed us to our table - a card table with folding chairs jammed up against an old stove. They took our coats. 2.The tea wasn't brewed - it was a pot of hot water with various tea bags served on the side. 3. It was a preset menu of finger sandwiches (cheese/chicken salad/sliced turkey); 3 scones; Christmas cookies. A Dixie cup sized serving of soup, served with plastic spoons. Water was served in plastic cups. 4. One of us is vegan, the other dairy intolerant; we asked for other menu options- they brought out sliced cucumbers on stale white bread - there was no pumpernickel or other type of bread available because they ran out. 5. After 90 minutes, they started to clear the place out, gave us our coats and the bill ($90.00), and began to break down the tables around us. Absolutely terrible that they charged that kind of money for an experience that was one step up from a lemonade stand.

I stayed here because I wanted to be away from the masses and crowds, and the Waterstone Inn fit the bill perfectly. The inn is literally across from the lake, so makes for a perfect summer or weekend getaway. The inn provides kayaks and canoes free of charge to go out on the lake. I communicated with Maureen before my stay and she was very quick to answer any questions. She was an absolute delight to converse with throughout my stay. She mentioned they weren't sure if they'd reopen after 2020, but they invested more money into the property and made some renovations to make the place more comfortable for guests, despite being an older property. All rooms/suites have a private bathroom and locks for privacy. I stayed in the spacious Bradford Suite on the 3rd floor, but all the rooms they offered seemed equally delightful to stay in when I took a peek. The place is so small and cozy that I didn't encounter any other guests except during breakfast hours (I think only one other room was occupied mid-week). Breakfast is included and is delicious...the food is freshly made to order. There are plenty of places to sit for breakfast whether it be a couch in the lounge, the window-side tables with lake views, or the front porch. The nautical and lake themes throughout the property were very well thought out and tasteful to give you a "getting away" type of feel. The porch area is welcoming and the perfect place where you can enjoy spectacular views of the action on the lake. The property has a parking lot on property directly adjacent to the inn which always felt safe and secure. The town of Greenwood Lake on the NJ/NY border is very cute, and was the filming location of a lesser known recent movie starring Morgan Freeman called the Magic of Belle Isle. All staff I encountered were amazingly welcoming, so I wouldn't hesitate to run as small businesses like these deserve to be supported.

We are travelers and this is one of the best accommodations we have every lodged. From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out; the experience was A-1. The rooms are cozy, spacious, and equipped with all the amenities that you need. Our room, the Montclair was full of windows, and we had a full view of the lake. The homemade breakfasts were so savory and yummy and let me not forget to mention the unlimited coffee, tea and lemonade that was provided throughout the entire stay. The location is close to many restaurants, shops, and the beach. We had fun kayaking out on the lake. Kayaks and canoes are available on the premises at no additional cost. So scrumptious! The B&B is quaint and beautifully landscaped all around, plus the vineyard. The views of the Hudson River from the stone-terraced back patio is just breathtaking! I can't quite point my finger on the smell. One of the twin bed's headboard was broken. The room also had bugs, as my daughter got bit and developed hives and my son's pillow had a random bug on it. The good: The beds were comfy. The washers and dryers were free. The breakfast was decent. The staff was very nice. There was a full functional kitchen and dining room table for 6. The view and convenience to AWP was great! For the price, the rooms could be a little better. If you've had the pleasure of staying at random Army housing, you get the gist. We had a one bedroom suite, which was essentially an apartment. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small with almost no counter space, but they had a drawer which made up for that. The AC worked well, with separate units in the bedroom and living room. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The hot breakfast was fine, with eggs and meat. Note that non-military people can stay here. Both nights we walked to the Thayer Hotel, just inside the base gates, and ate dinner at General Patton's Tavern. The food and beer were all good.
