Driving in, we liked how the hotel is tucked away on a hill off the main road. As we pulled up, we were greeted with a beautiful view overlooking the lake and mountains. We were happy to find out our room had that same view, and the hotel also has a large balcony where you can sit and take it all in. Check-in was quick and professional. The older gentleman at the front desk had a rough, sarcastic sense of humor that gave us a laugh. There was also plenty of parking right out front. The room itself was good. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was excellent, the Wi-Fi worked without any issues, and the room was clean with no off smells. The rooms also had a fridge. That said, I do think the hotel as a whole could use a deep cleaning of the carpets. The lobby carpet especially looked worn and could probably be cleaned or replaced. There's a pool which we were glad to have. We met another family staying there and our kids ended up playing together. We also met an elderly couple who told us they come back every year just to relax which says a lot about the atmosphere here. One downside was the housekeeping staff. They were too loud in the hallways and could definitely use some training on being mindful of guests. There's no breakfast but they do offer complimentary coffee along with grab and go goodie bags in the morning with muffins and granola bars. It was a nice gesture but I think even a simple continental breakfast would make this hotel a much stronger value. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The views are the biggest selling point, the room was comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing. If you're looking for a reasonably priced place to stay with a great view and don't mind skipping breakfast, this is a solid option.

My only tiny gripe is a lack of outlets (as someone with a million devices to plug in.) Our AC wasn't working correctly when we came in, but the front desk immediately sent a handyman that replaced the motherboard. Just unreal service.

I got some cute stickers and a Bible Study Journal so now I can stop writing all my notes like a loony in the edges of my bible Harvest Inn is about 1hr 3min to Warwick Bethel and Patterson Betherl and about 10ish minutes to Walkill Bethel. There's a kingdom hall in Pinebush as well. If you plan on going to New York City from here, Plan to go to the train station in Beacon as it takes you straight to grand central. Parking is free on the weekends and $10ish (i think) for the weekdays. (Much cheaper than going to NYC by car. My one and only gripe: Whoever was in the room above us was not lightfooted. We heard every squeak of their footsteps and it was rather annoying because it affected my husband and I's sleep. It felt rather rude that they walked so heavy. But thats my only complaint. Actually 1 more but its more of a suggestion: Most hotels, inns, and motels I have been to have ADA accessibility. There's no buttons to help open doors. Im not personally disabled but it would be nice to see something like that installed in the future for those who need help opening doors 4/5 stars

I've been to many Residence Inns, Courtyards By Marriott, Holiday Inn Expresses in my life…read more Ultimately all of them are similar, but I've found what makes the difference isn't the brand, it's the independent managers and employees running it. The star of this Residence Inn was the wonderful lady who managed the breakfast areas and helped guests during breakfast. She had a wonderful personality that brightened up the room. For guests who didn't need or want help she let them be, but for others she provided amazing service--offering to make waffles, pour drinks, and otherwise help make sure the guests were well taken care of. I contrast that to other hotels (including others in the Marriott family) that just dump guests into the free breakfast. Even though we were late and arrived just before breakfast closed, the area was pristine and well stocked. Breakfast was excellent as well--a nice combination of freshly cooked foods like eggs, egg whites, sausages, and oatmeal, some pre-heated pre-packaged food like breakfast sandwiches and muffins, and of course the waffle machines where you can make a giant waffle or mini waffles. The seating area and lobby are all brand new and kept very clean. The rooms are also really clean and even as someone who stayed one night I appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. The hotel is a nice "hidden secret" for those who want to visit Legoland. Yes, the Legoland hotel is a nice experience with its disco elevators, in-room treasure hunts, and on-demand Lego movies, But one night at the Residence Inn and you can get a room that's a short drive to Legoland, and use the money you spend to buy a $400 Lego set to keep. (As usual, the only criticism I have is for the guests. If you spill food on the stairs, call someone and let them know, If you go to the pool, please shower first. You can help keep this hotel great by showing a little consideration yourselves) I hope the management of the hotel can keep up the good work. I look forward to staying here again.

Checking in was simple and straightforward. Employees are friendly, hard working, professional, helpful, and kind. Our room was wonderful. There was a kitchen, large table, big bathroom, comfy beds, a couch that turns into a bed, 2 large TV's, study table, etc. It was perfect! They did a great job keeping our room clean. Beds are comfortable and we all got plenty of rest. When we needed extra towels, blankets, and toilet paper, employees did an excellent job providing that for us. Some property amenities include: The Residence Bar, Fitness Center, Indoor Swimming Pool, Dry Cleaning Service, Free Hot Breakfast, Convenience Store, Free Wifi, and a Laundry Room. Checking out was also simple and straightforward. This is a wonderful hotel, that is not too far from The LEGOLAND New York Theme Park. I'm so glad we got chance to visit. Prices are reasonable and we had a great experience staying here. Highly recommend!

We ate @ Outback, & close by there's an Indoor recreation facility, & the Orange County botanical gardens were worth the trip done a winding road, beautiful flowers! This hotel is just off Interstate 84 between Port Jervis NY/Milton PA & ! 87 and closer to return access than other locations would have you believe. Just don't run a stop sign as the state police barracks is across the street!
