When I told him that I had booked here, he was skeptical, and referenced some past negative history, including a yelp review from three years ago. I told him that the price was much better than some of the other chains in the area. I told him that many of the recent reviews that appeared on Expedia were quite favorable. The rooms apparently have all been recently redone. The pictures provided on the booking website made the room look both clean and modern. The reviews all referenced the cleanliness simplicity and economy of the motel. So despite my friend's misgivings, I kept the reservation. I figured I would arrive early and scope the place out to give myself enough time to make other arrangements if the room was not to my satisfaction. That is exactly what I did. The room looked exactly like the listings on the booking website. The sheets were pristine White and clean. The bathroom was perfectly clean. At night, after the return from my party, the facility parking lot was filled with decent late model vehicles. The facility was quiet. The beds were comfortable. I noticed there is a long bike trail that runs along a river behind the property and extends for miles. I had the opportunity to explore this path the next day. It was lovely. I also understand from my friend, that this motel was used as a scene in the movie the Irishman with Robert De Niro. Overall, I was quite pleased with my experience. For an economy motel, this facility does rate a 5. I was very pleased with.

The staff was good and while not a five star hotel by any means, it was a good hotel and that's my summation. This was a good place to stay. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly. The location felt safe. Is this good for large families? I don't know. Is this good for business? I don't know either. In general, the room was clean. It felt safe and the price wasn't horrible. When parking, my car felt secure and overall this was a good place to stay. Not a 5 star hotel, but a great overnight stay without having to worry if I picked the right hotel.

Not once did she attempt to return my money for three night. She tried to tell me paying $185 is better that $137 she was discussing towards me. And watch me check insisted on give 2 room keys never offer anything not ever free day haven't allowed since Wednesday. She can't work the computer. Worst stay ever I will leave Monday. The hotel is a bit older but for the most part everything was good. Jessica was super nice at check in, and gave me some recommendations for food nearby (there are several chains within walking distance). There is a restaurant/bar in the lobby as well as a convenience area with snacks for sale. I got a king bed room which was very roomy and comfortable. The mini fridge and microwave are hidden in a big cabinet near the window. The room smelled a lot like some kind of fragrance the first day - it didn't really bother me but could be problematic if you're sensitive to scents. The bed was very comfy, the outlets and USB ports by the bed all worked, and the room seemed clean. The shower handle was installed backwards, and it was broken so it would just spin around after you rotated it to a certain spot - kind of weird. I did mention it to the front desk and they said they would fix it while I was out - I could tell they had run the shower but it wasn't fixed. Luckily I was able to figure out how to get the water hot even though it was finicky. The parking lot was always full so finding a spot was difficult especially in the evenings. There was a row of parking that was reserved for one of the surrounding buildings and it looked like a tow zone, so be aware of that.

I understand that hotels have cancellation policies, but exceptional circumstances deserve empathy and reasonable customer service. Instead, I was met with a rigid "too bad" response that made an already difficult time even more stressful. Policies are important, but how a business treats people during life's hardest moments says a lot about its values. Based on this experience, I will never book here again, and I would encourage others to consider whether they want to support a business that chooses policy over basic human compassion.
