Cannot recommend the Inn at Stony Creek enough! Bill and Joe were exceptional hosts from beginning to end. They took great measures to make everyone feel safe during these Covid times, with wearing masks inside, stations of antibacterial wipes throughout the inn, spacing out breakfast times and seatings, as well as spacing out rooms so that you aren't directly next to or across from another guest. Our room was so beautiful and super clean with its own private full bath. The inn itself is a beautiful victorian home from the 1800's thoughtfully and carefully restored to its natural beauty with a perfect balance of farmhouse and elegant aesthetic. The grounds were the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway weekend from the city, with rolling fields of lush greenery, a small pond with a tranquil fountain, and ample seating options outside to take in the views and sounds of nature. The town of Warwick is only a 10min drive and boasts lots of cute shops and restaurants. They close down the Main Street at night so that restaurants can spread tables out in the street for a socially distanced sit down meal out. It was the first time my husband and I ate at a restaurant in the past 4 months and we felt very safe and comfortable. It was lovely! Fun activities nearby include berry picking, farmstands with homemade ice cream, apple cider donuts, and pies, outdoor beer gardens, a drive-in movie theatre, the Appalachian Trail with beautiful nature walks and hikes, and wineries! Highly recommend this perfect spot whether for a quick getaway or extended stay. We will definitely be going back someday! read more

This was my girlfriend and I's first experience at a B&B and it was quite the experience! Joe and Bill were absolutely wonderful throughout the entire stay. They were welcoming and we were greeted even though we didn't check in until 9:30ish. We opted to have our breakfast delivered to the room since we like to lounge around in the mornings. This was our FAVORITE part of the whole weekend! The first morning, we had scrambled eggs, sausage, and fresh fruit with blueberry pancakes. The second morning, we had stuffed french toast with bacon and fruit. Can I just say that I still crave both dishes, even after a month? They were the tastiest pancakes and stuffed french toast ever! Plus, we had a cute little view of the pond from our room. Long story short, I would highly recommend taking a weekend trip here. We booked the Appalachian Room and it had a fairly large jacuzzi as well, so that was a plus. read more

We were back in the area and as promised, booked a room here. This place does not disappoint. There is a porch with rocking chairs for you to enjoy the day and meet the other guests. The owners are very nice, the grounds are peaceful, and the breakfasts are amazing. They actually have more than one breakfast option for you to choose. There is a nice winery and some pretty good restaurants within driving distance. The only down comment I'd like to make is that if you are a big person or are claustrophobic, do NOT book the Fox and Hound room. The bathroom is small, and the shower is very small, so you'd have to book a different room. But don't let that deter you from booking here. You'll like this place. read more

About 6+ months overdue, but this review was absolutely necessary since I just referred it to a couple as one of the must see places in Hudson Valley because of how incredibly welcoming both Bill and Joe were to my partner and I. From the moment we arrived, a lot later in the evening than expected, we were greeted with open arms and delightfulness. Both Bill and Joe were very understanding of our delay and made it a point to address any household rules in the morning as they were considerate of our rest. As we arose, we devoured a delicious homemade meal while enjoying the beautiful historic decor and the view of the lake... Although our stay was short, it was definitely worth sharing the experience. We stayed at the Inn at Stony Creek as part of a wedding party and I could not recommend it enough. The rooms are fantastic, each with their own attached full bath and fridge. The grounds are perfectly kept and exactly what you'd want for an upstate get away. The food was amazing. I had fresh eggs that were gathered from the chickens out back every morning and the rotating options were great as well. One morning was fresh blueberry pancakes and the next day was peach stuffed French toast which were both above the caliber you could expect from the best rated restaurant in the surrounding area no less a bnb. The inn keepers were more than happy to make anything you wanted and let us have a little bit of everything we were interested in. Firstly I must state I also run an inn so I may notice things others might not. The owners Bill and Joe are a delightful couple who enjoy hospitality as well as keeping a good home. We took their Americana suite which was spacious, but we felt a little cluttered with too much furniture, really you don't need so many things filling up a wonderful space. Due to the time of the year and exceptional rainfall there was a slight mustiness to the room, but it was nothing major as the building is an old building. The bed and mattress was we felt coming towards the end of it's life, but we usually sleep in a king bed so it may well have been our lack of closeness and wriggle factor. The room was certainly quiet, apart from the 'murmurings' of the clients opposite our room who seemed to be not only into each other....but also had a lot of each other to be into! How a lady so young can get such large hips defies our imagination, and plainly as we observed her climbing the stairs. exercise was not a regular part of her life. But this was a minor interruption as their morning 'discussion' was brief...probably as it was too much exercise! Breakfast was delicious and the scones, which being British we would not serve at breakfast, were excellent....so much so we asked for recipe! Our only minor complaint as tea drinkers was that the hot water came from a coffee machine, and tea needs boiling hot water in order to steep well. Overall we were satisfied and Bill was a great conversationalist and was happy to illuminate our ideas as to what one could see, do and eat locally. Our only suggestion would be to put the original juke box in the main part of the inn, as it is really original, still working with a fantastic sound, and Bill changes the selection of music regularly. This is we feel a major missed opportunity as the kitchen is not the place to have it! Also the inn room fridge and microwave are we felt not needed and the fridge had the infernal fridge hum. Our suggestion would be to put them upstairs in the breakfast room where clients who want them can easily use them? The one major hit about the inn is it's location which is QUIET! read more

I made the reservations based on the yelp reviews. From the first minutes that we drove on to the property, there were two deer in the field, and it was just so beautiful, we knew we would love it. Bill and Joe are hosts par excellence! I got to see the other rooms, and I realized that with divine providence, I chose the room I would love the most! The grounds are manicured, and well kept. The chickens and ducks were so clean, and pleasant. The spring in the little pond was so relaxing. Just sitting on the benches/chairs on the grounds was a treat! We were offered some tomatoes from the vegetable garden, and they were just picked! After we finally got up and packed out, we took a walk to the other end of the grounds where there is a beautiful walking trail. Again, we experienced serenity personified! What a great experience!!!!! My boyfriend and I decided to venture up to the Bear Mountain area- for a hike and decided very last minute to stay in the Warwick area at a B&B and do a little wine tasting. As soon as we arrived to the Inn- it was the perfect start to a romantic, magical evening. The Inn sits on (I believe) a few acres of beautiful country land. Everything just seemed so picturesque and peaceful! Bill greeted us as we pulled up- and showed us around the house. Everything is kept immaculate- and it was exactly what we looked for in our first B&B experience- it felt like home but with all the amenities of staying at hotel. We stayed in the Lexington Room- which was great- as it had a separate entrance, an amazing jacuzzi and beautiful view of a pond, with ducks and chickens. The bed was reallly really comfortable (I had such a great night of sleep!) great sheets and the room also has a flat screen TV, cable, two wine glasses and a cork screw (plus some goodies!) O, and there is also free WIFI... Also, everything was really clean and nice!! Great bathroom as well. Bill was really informative and give us printed directions to the Warwick Winery- and also there was a book of restaurants in the area (which was great- since we ended up picking this AMAZING place, Coquito for dinner). When we arrived back at the Inn after dinner- we met Joe- and they showed us their awesome movie collection- and we were able to choose a few movies to watch in our room (we pick Wayne's World...what a classic!). The next morning we woke up to the smell of amazing bacon cooking upstairs. We went into the dining room- had great coffee- and Bill and Joe served up this out of this world zucchini quiche and blueberry pancakes!!!! The food was AMAZINGGGGGG- and the bacon..YUM. You can tell that EVERYTHING was extremely fresh and well prepared. I am still dreaming about that breakfast. I had to take mini breaks in between- because I wanted to make sure I could finish every single bite!!! All and all we had a fantastic time- and we were really sad we could only stay one night! Bill and Joe are some of the sweetest, most accommodating people I have ever met- fantastic!!!!! They are REALLY helpful- and just want to make sure you have a great time while you stay with them and we sure did!!! HIGHLY recommend! And we will be back for a full weekend next time!!! read more

I absolutely recommend to everyone, book a couple nights here, you'll love it. The owners are extremely warm and welcoming. I later found out they went out of their way for a simple request I made, even though I let them no it wasn't necessary. I appreciate the work ethic and attitude. This beautiful white homestead is kept extremely clean, with beautiful and tasteful decor. This very much felt like living in a manor house more than an Inn. The view overlooking their fields and pond create a picturesque setting for a romantic getaway. As the rooms go, they are a nice size, quite private, private bath with jacuzzi, and clearly kept very clean. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and made it easy to fall asleep and stay asleep. We stayed on the lower level which includes a private entrance overlooking the pond. Each room with a semi-private patio. The breakfast was decadent yet not gluttonous. The eggs are the best I've ever had. Options change each morning, but they are very quick to accommodate. They really have 5 star standards for what they prepare, what touches your plate, and confirming your enjoyment. We have traveled long and far over the years, and previously our favorite B&B had remained our favorite for 7 years. After one visit, Stony Creek has won us over. Being 5 minutes from the Warwick Winery was a huge benefit. It was nice to be able to take a quick ride to eat lunch at the winery. 5 minutes in the other direction puts you in downtown Warwick. Being set amongst the famous black dirt fields, yet so close to everything is a major asset. 5 star service, rooms, food, and location all at a very fair price. read more

My wife and I stayed here for sadly only 1 night. Everything about this place was terrific. The place was spotless. Antiques were everywhere. The rooms were tasteful. The grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic. I had banana walnut pancakes that were as good as you can get absolutely anywhere. My wife had an omelet that also was terrific thanks to the fresh eggs that came from their hens. The hosts Bill and Joe were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Bill let us know about a Beach Boys cover band free concert that night and gave us folding chairs to take along. He gave us info on a great hike that we took after we left on out way home. Not a bad word about anything. We will definitely be back and I will be telling all of my friends. You will have a great experience as we did. read more

Innkeepers Bill and Joe are very friendly, and the breakfasts were delicious each morning!! My wife and I stayed in the Appalachian room. It was very modernized, yet had the right mixture of rustic antiques to give it a unique, clean, and overall welcoming appeal. I really enjoyed the two nights that we stayed here. My wife and I received a gift certificate to stay at the Inn and we were both amazingly pleased with our 3 day getaway. Bill and Joe were nothing but amazingly helpful and kind. They truly give you an experience to remember. Their knowledge of the area, local restaurants and local events is amazing. We stayed in one of the newer rooms but we toured through the inn and would happily stay in any room. The room had a private back entrance which made it easier to come and go. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Inn at Stony Creek this past weekend and were lucky enough to stay an extra day when the upstate area got over a foot of snow. The inn is beautiful, charming, clean, and run by the most accommodating innkeepers. Breakfast was delicious, we had our pick of movies, and even had help from Bill and Joe when our car got a little stuck in the snow. If it was possible to give The Inn at Stony Creek more than five stars I would ! My husband and I travel often, we have never met such wonderful, gracious business owners as Bill and Joe. Their level of hospitality is unparalleled ! The Inn is charming and decorated flawlessly. Every room ( I was given a tour of each room ) is immaculate especially the bathrooms. No detail is overlooked. I loved looking around at all of the antiques and pictures. We stayed in the Fox and Hound room- Gorgeous wood four post bed, comfortable mattress, Luxurious linens, town guides and magazines in the sitting area, beautiful lighting, electric fireplace, beautiful soaps in the bathroom, bathrobes and chocolates set out every day in a beautiful bowl on the gorgeous antique chest. Joe prepared a fabulous breakfast each morning. My husband is an executive chef, he raved about Joe's baked eggs in a tart crust. The eggs are as fresh as you can get right from the chickens in their backyard. The dining area is picture perfect. Sunlight shining on the quaint tables set with china and fresh tulips. Coffee, tea , and cookies were available day and night on the buffet table. The grounds are beautiful. Ducks in the pond, dear grazing, chipmunks and birds. So country perfect. To say Bill and Joe exceeded our expectations is an understatement. I felt like we were leaving the home of friends we have had for years not inn keepers we just met. We booked a weekend in June and a weekend in September before leaving. We can't wait to go back. read more

My fiance and stayed here this past weekend for our birthdays. It was amazing! We stayed in the appalachian room which had its own private entrance and parking right outside. The room was extremely clean, cozy and secluded. Every morning the owners, Bill and Joe make and serve a fresh breakfast (using fresh eggs from their chicken coop). The food was great and the service was even better. They even asked if you wanted a second serving! We arrived Saturday afternoon and asked for a cab service number to take us to the Warwick Valley Winery. Joe insisted that he drive us there and we call him to be picked up when we were ready. I thought that was absolutely above and beyond amazing service! Needless to say, we would definitely return for another weekend stay. We had a great time! read more

My boyfriend booked July 28-30, 2017 for my birthday, or so we thought. When using the online system he accidentally clicked for June 28-30, the wrong month. Human error. On June 28, we were in Colorado on another vacation and the time came and went, and his card was charged almost $385 for two nights MIDWEEK at the Inn at Stony Creek without a single notification. No call, email, or text as to why we didn't show up. We've stayed at a lot of B&B's in our time - and this one only has 6 rooms and with a $385 not even a phone or email to find out why we never showed up from the owners. Shame on them. So, JULY 28-30 rolls around and we're about 20 minutes from Inn at Stony Creek and running a little late. We call the inn to let them know and they have no record of our booking. I am COMPLETELY respectful of the fact that cards are charged in-full the week before a booking and there are no changes. Policy is clear. However, I find it completely unprofessional that a small B&B with only 6 rooms wouldn't bother to call a midweek guest who failed to show up. Meanwhile this cruddy owner tries to book us for two additional nights for the ones we missed at full price after not bothering to call. I let him know that not calling is unprofessional and that we would not be staying there. Which means we are now stuck with a weekend of activities planned and nowhere to stay. So, after about 5 more phone calls we end up at a much nicer B&B in the next town over directly on the lake. I have scored this inn based on Service and Value. The service was terrible and there was no value. Had the owner simply called us on the no-show, we would've gladly accepted the policy and most likely rebooked the room with them due to the error. In fact, I twisted my ankle while there and he even brought breakfast (which was amazing) downstairs so I did not have to manage the stairs. My husband and I stayed here for two nights. He particularly loved laying in the hammock and reading the book "Robin Hood'. We stayed in the Appalachian room, which was modern, yet rustic. It is just the right amount of space and the bathroom has a jacuzzi! There were snacks, water bottles, wine glasses and a wine bottle opener in the room. A mini fridge, flat screen tv and all the premium movie channels were also available. Furthermore, they have WiFi! The breakfast was delicious and just the right amount! My husband and I just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary with a stay at the Inn at Stony Creek and I cannot find one thing I would say that would have made the experience any better. This was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast and everything was absolutely perfect. Our hosts, Bill and Joe made you feel at home while also being sure to check in with you to make sure everything was good. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the room itself was cozy and provided everything we needed. Breakfast was incredible. The eggs were cooked to perfection. Probably the best eggs I have ever had myself. The wineries, orchard, and downtown were all within a 10 min drive of the Inn as well. Leaving today actually made us quite sad but has also given us somewhere to look forward to visiting again in the very near future ! I was a bit hesitant to go to a bed and breakfast, since I had a bad experience in the past. From the minute we walked through the doors we felt so comfortable and at home. My wife and I spent 3 days at the Inn to celebrate our anniversary. What a wonderful and relaxing time. Joe and Bill, the proprietors, serve a delicious breakfast with fresh eggs from the chicken coop on the property. They can give you a history of the Inn and the area. There are plenty of local history books in the common area. The dining area is set up so you can interact with the other guests - met some very interesting couples and had engaging conversations over breakfast. The guest rooms are beautifully appointed - ours was very large with an ensuite. We sat on the front porch on rocking chairs watching an occasion vehicle pass by on the country road past the stone wall. We laid on the hammock overlooking the large duck pond. It was fun watching the ducks and geese waddle around the property. The down town of Warwick is 3 miles from the Inn, offering a variety of great spots for dinner. Highly recommend the Inn. read more
