Truly the best restaurant in the Hudson Valley. The ambiance and service are unmatched. Best place for a date night, quiet and tranquil space. The food is the best you can find just about anywhere. I had the best Negroni of my life. If you prefer wine they have a sommelier. Overall a perfect dining experience!

Can't speak highly enough about this wonderful destination. Rooms are great, views phenomenal, staff is extra helpful, restaurant was excellent. The spa treatments were special. This broke into our top 5 locations around the world.

Very beautiful estate located in Chester, NY. Overlooking a top of a hill. I had brunch with my family here which was a 3 course meal that included two classes of Prosecco and a dessert. I ordered the oysters, lobster Benedict and coconut cake. The oysters were mild, mignonette was fabulous paired with the cocktail sauce. My grandmother had the smoked salmon to start which was also mild but savory. My mother had the shrimp "Oscar" which was paired well with asparagus and Hollandaise sauce. The lobster Benedict was served with a claw and half a tail. The lobster itself was a little tough for my liking. Cooking maybe 2-3 minutes too long. My grandmother had the same but my mom had the steak and eggs which were both cooked perfectly. I tried the coconut cake as our waiter recommended it and he was absolutely not wrong. It was absolutely tasty. The service here is great but don't expect a quick meal. This is the type of place where you sit and enjoy your food. No spectators are allowed on property, only guests can view the exquisite mansion. The decor was restoration of the property was nothing short of breath taking. Every room was tastefully decorated. We did get to tour the property for possible use for a future event. We did get to see the barn event space which I thought seemed very out of place for a French styled mansion.

I've dined in the Supper Room multiple times and it has always been a lovely experience. Everything from the chef's creations to the attentive waitstaff to the elegant decor, they were all memorable.

I was greatly looking forward to my stay at Glenmere because friends and family always raved about it. I'm so happy to say it lived up to my expectations. From the start when we entered the premises Joseph and Scott were welcoming and accommodating. They continued throughout my 2 day stay. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully. The bed is so comfortable and the bathtub was very relaxing. We enjoyed having cocktails served by Sandy and our servers during our meals, Lisa, Mike, Joanna, Ashley and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful to walk around even in the cold weather. The views are spectacular especially during the sunsets. Next time we will come in the spring-summer and do some spa treatments. I highly recommend Glenmere for a First Class experience.

What a treat! My girlfriend treated me to a trip to the 'Mansion' for my birthday and it was quite memorable. Thank you Alan for the arrival treats, nice touch. One standout was the food and beverage team, especially Eric. He was quite knowledgeable and makes a great 'Perfect Manhattan.' We had some military guests that had dinner and departed by way of the 'lawn' in their Black Hawk. Way cool. Loved the surroundings and the bike tour from our new friends at https://www.joefixits.com/. Good people. PS: If you go, let Alan tell you about the 'friendly ghosts' in 14 (our room). He asked us if we wanted to move and we said, 'heck now these ghosts are fun! Great back story on the ghosts as well.

Came to the Glenmere Mansion for dinner at the Frogs End Tavern and it was a fantastic dinner from start to finish. We indulged in their cocktails (Glenmere Gatsby) and wine, started off with the freshest burrata and tomatoes, as well as their pumpkin soup. A lot of the vegetables they serve, or that come with your meals, are either from their own garden or from local gardens. For entrees, we order the duck, a burger from their special burger menu, the pumpkin ravioli and halibut! Everything was fresh, delicious and tasty! Don't forget to save room for dessert!

We've been here plenty of times and I've never had a real complaint until this Tuesday. I am 21 but I did not bring my ID because I was eating with my parents and haven't been asked to show my ID while with them since I've been going here for the last 3 years. I was refused drinks even when I offered to show a photo of my ID. The waiter other than denying me, just wasn't warm. He never asked if we needed anything or how our food was. Didn't check in on us once. I hope our next trip to Glenmere is better. The food was great as always.

I was here for a hot minute so I can't recommend. The last time I was here it was an actual house to a friend who passed away and they turned into this beautiful spa restaurant hotel. Four stars for that the awesome place it is now.

I stayed here because I wanted to be away from the masses and crowds, and the Waterstone Inn fit the bill perfectly. The inn is literally across from the lake, so makes for a perfect summer or weekend getaway. The inn provides kayaks and canoes free of charge to go out on the lake. I communicated with Maureen before my stay and she was very quick to answer any questions. She was an absolute delight to converse with throughout my stay. She mentioned they weren't sure if they'd reopen after 2020, but they invested more money into the property and made some renovations to make the place more comfortable for guests, despite being an older property. All rooms/suites have a private bathroom and locks for privacy. I stayed in the spacious Bradford Suite on the 3rd floor, but all the rooms they offered seemed equally delightful to stay in when I took a peek. The place is so small and cozy that I didn't encounter any other guests except during breakfast hours (I think only one other room was occupied mid-week). Breakfast is included and is delicious...the food is freshly made to order. There are plenty of places to sit for breakfast whether it be a couch in the lounge, the window-side tables with lake views, or the front porch. The nautical and lake themes throughout the property were very well thought out and tasteful to give you a "getting away" type of feel. The porch area is welcoming and the perfect place where you can enjoy spectacular views of the action on the lake. The property has a parking lot on property directly adjacent to the inn which always felt safe and secure. The town of Greenwood Lake on the NJ/NY border is very cute, and was the filming location of a lesser known recent movie starring Morgan Freeman called the Magic of Belle Isle. All staff I encountered were amazingly welcoming, so I wouldn't hesitate to run as small businesses like these deserve to be supported.

It was centered around filling the four walls of the greenhouse space with long tables, family style service, and so much love. The Greenhouse was already so beautiful we barely chose to add anything to it for our ceremony. Some beautiful perks of this space include a TRULY pet friendly space, gratuities included in event pricing for ease, the venue is yours and your peoples for the whole weekend (none of that, "which wedding are you here from?"), a picturesque backdrop from all angles, and plenty of incredible vendors that know this space and stay passionate about working with them. I woke up on the morning of my wedding, had breakfast with my husband-to-be, and had the most relaxing and stress-free day knowing that I was seconds from my room in case I needed/forgot something and that I was already at my venue. There was a complete ease through the day-of-timeline and after the ceremony, we had returned to our room to sign the marriage license to find Audrey's staff even cleaned up our space and left us fresh chilled champagne and snacks from cocktail hour. We have yet to stop getting compliments from guests on the food, the drinks, and the customer service. I couldn't have asked for a better gift than getting to spend the money to have a wedding weekend here, to fully take our time with and absorb all of the love that surrounded us. Everyone had a great time. We stayed in the main building in a room with two queen beds and bunk beds. The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable with soft mattresses and pillows. Temperature-wise, it was funny, my son and I were warm, while my wife and daughter were cold, so I guess that means the room temperature was just right. One thing to note: the walls are thin. The resort is all-inclusive, and the food was solid overall. * Breakfast was your typical buffet--scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast, etc. They will cook eggs to order if you ask. * Lunch was buffet-style as well and changed daily. Not amazing, but it got the job done. * Dinner was my favorite meal and felt a bit higher quality, with multiple courses and limited menu options (which I actually liked). * Dessert was fun, especially the ice cream machine. One thing I noticed is that the food is served at a kid-friendly temperature, which took a little getting used to. I'm guessing they do this so kids don't get burned. The activities were the highlight. Skiing was fantastic because it was almost empty, there were only a few other people on the hill. Since I hadn't skied since the early 90s, it was great to have the space to fall a few times without worrying about others. The staff was extremely helpful and encouraging. The hill is more like a bunny slope, but honestly, it's perfect for beginners. If you spent a few days learning here, you'd feel confident going to a bigger mountain. Horseback riding was also great, and since it was midweek, we could have gone multiple times a day. The indoor/outdoor heated pool was really nice, and there's even a waterslide. A lot of the resort seems better suited for summer, and some things were closed for winter, but we came mainly for skiing, so that didn't bother us. The staff deserves a lot of credit. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and we never felt rushed. There's a saloon downstairs where they run games at night and offer a free drink of the night. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are always available. One small downside: when the dining areas close at night, soda machines aren't accessible, so you'd need to use vending machines (machines were coin only, so I couldn't use my Apple Pay), which felt a little odd for an all-inclusive resort. But, you can grab drinks to go while the dining room is open. On our last day, they let us do a late checkout since no one was checking into our room. We were able to grab lunch and head out without rushing, which was really appreciated. Definitely a lot more things I can talk about, but these were just the stand out things I remember. Overall: Rocking Horse Ranch is a great choice for families, beginners learning to ski, or anyone looking for a relaxed, all-inclusive getaway--especially midweek when it's quieter. It's not luxury, and it's definitely kid-focused, but it's fun, comfortable, and well-run. I'd absolutely go back.
