Two weeks in a row they only emptied half the trash can. With a family of six, that SUCKS. When I called to ask about it, they mentioned it must have been something I had done. Did I place anything large in the way? No. Was everything in bags? Yes. Their response oh well, too bad, it happens. Finally a half emptied can gets old so I call to cancel service instead. No one picked up, no one called back even though I left a message. Called again a few days later. Same thing. Called a third time today and finally reached someone. I asked about receiving any kind of a refund for the week I had been trying to cancel service, or the weeks my trash wasn't fully emptied. Nope. "We still provided the service" they told me. Weird...because I paid my FULL bill for FULL service, what about the other half of "the service" they didn't provide? Like returning my calls or emptying my trash all the way? Guess that doesn't count after they have your money lol. Crazy thing is I called Taylor sanitation to start service. They were back logged on dropping off new cans but still offered to pick up my trash anyway. And wouldn't you know it, they were able to fully empty the same can that Scott waste apparently couldn't for two weeks. After many calls and assurances they would have this take care of, even called and said they would be here today ( 12-15 ) , never showed up! Once again Scott Waste has failed. Today was the second time in a month that our garbage just simply wasn't picked up. Both times the can was clearly outside at the time of pick up and they drove right by. The first time we were able to chase them down and tell them and they claimed the can wasn't out. I asked to see the camera footage and was denied by the truck and customer service. As retaliation they chose to once again not pick up this week as well. I don't know who's more to blame. The drivers or the management that keep allowing this horrible service for their paying customers. I am currently looking for a new company. read more

It's pretty much a crap shoot as to whether our garbage will be picked up or not. We are now going on 5 weeks without a pickup. I have called numerous times and keep getting the run around. The driver is logging that he is picking it up. Liar! I have camera footage of it being at the end of our driveway. The customer service reps say they will call back and never do. After one of their drivers came to my door to yell at me last winter while my husband was at work, I have basically been disgusted with their new collection methods. (I realize that something that happened last January is in the past but ever since then I have been somewhat afraid of their drivers and thought I finally needed to say something. I tried calling when it happened but could never get through to someone.) Recently my trashcan was not perfect for their pick up methods and now the lid is severely damaged. I've called 7 times and they say they'll be out today and then today comes and goes and no trash pick up. Meanwhile the garbage just keeps piling up. I was a customer for 14 years and Scott Waste decided two weeks ago that they wanted me to take my cans to another road to pick up, even though they have picked up from the same place for 14 years (my house). After calling customer service for over a week and promised each time to get a call back from a supervisor, I was once again let down. Therefore, I have now cancelled my service and decided to go another route. I have been a loyal customer and have not gotten the same back from Scott Waste. I don't know why I'm even leaving this review because I don't believe anyone will look at it but here we are. Scott Waste is the absolute worst service I have ever had. I've moved over 4 times and each one the Waste employees are so nice but not these people. Number one, they didn't pick up our streets trash for three weeks and when we finally got through to them they promised they'd come that night. 3 days later and nothing. Number two, if stuff falls out of the trash can while THEY are using the truck they won't pick it up. I understand if it's my fault but if it falls out while you are doing it it's your responsibility. Number three, they took mine and my neighbors trash cans because they were "dirty" for over a MONTH. I called and called and they said they'd bring me one but nothing. Eventually I went over and when they wouldn't see me, just took one of the ones that were lined up at the side Right when I moved here there were no problems. They were very nice and helpful. I didn't leave extra trash out for them or filled my trash can up because they were so nice but something obviously changed. read more

Worst service ever!!!! I wish zero was an option! I realize that everyone is short-handed, but they have missed my trash on our scheduled day more times than they have picked it up correctly. I have had to call almost every other week. Our pickup day is Tuesday, well no pick-up, yet again; so I called again yesterday. Someone was supposed to call me back and my trash was supposed to be picked up. Keep in mind, that we have already had a Supervisor out here who swore it wouldn't keep happening. Here we are on Thursday and still a can full of trash. I called the office today to tell them to come and get my trash AND MY CAN. I have established service with another company. They have one customer rep. that is very nice and one that is rude. Mr. Rude informed me that I couldn't cancel service because they have the "CITY CONTRACT". Well, WRONG, Mr. Rude; my home is in the county and I am perfectly aware of what my options are. I feel very sorry for the citizens of Bowling Green who do not get to change. My suggestion is to contact your City Commissioners when you cannot get anywhere with Scott Waste. After all they gave them the contract. read more

Today Sept. 12, 2022 my driver dumped my tote and I had 2 huge hanging flower pots on the ground. After my tote was dumped he put the two big pots in the empty tote and moved to the other side of my street and dumped when he came back around to do the other side of the street. I'm done with Scott. They picked my container up 2 years ago and said it would be 2 weeks before they would bring another one. They said I could go up and pick one up myself today. So I did. Last week I noticed everyone's got picked up but mine. I called to ask why they skipped me and they said it was scheduled for pickup for nonpayment. I told them it wasn't due until April, I pay a year at a time. They called me in about 20 minutes and told me it was paid up til April something. Trying to discontinue it now. If there is a holiday don't expect your trash to be picked up for two or three days after your pick up day. If you have more then what the small container will hold they will not pick it up. They don't get out of the truck to do their job. They also leave nasty notes if you don't pack your trash neatly like a Christmas gift. read more

This trash company SUCKS!!!!!! They could really use competition in Russellville ,Ky. This is the 2nd week in a row they have not come by to collect the trash! I called last week when trash was missed, they said they would put a work order in and send some one out to get it. That someone never showed up, so we waited again until trash day(a week later on Tuseday) they didn't bother to show up then either . Now my neighbor and myself have trash over flowing from all our trash bins are full and this company who's only job is to collect the trash is slacking. Too bad we can't rate them as ZERO stars!!!! For years they have been a huge disappointment, and now that only continues but worse. They were supposed to pick up your garbage where you place it on your property in the city of Bowling Green. They missed mine at least 66% of the time and that's being kind. I would put mine on my driveway where my front sidewalk exits, approximately 40' from the street (due to physical limitations). Week after week they would fail to pick it up. I would call thier office to report it and most of the time they would never come back and get it. Some times I would call repeatedly during the week to report it and they would still fail to pick it up. On the rare occasion that they would pick it up, they would drag my trashy can to the street and dump it in their truck and leave my can in my driveway so I would have to go out there to retreive it. I lost at least two cans because they rolled into the street and got hit. I reported this as well and all I got was "we're sorry." Their service sucked and that's being generous!!! Now they have strangled the city into a new contract where their serices are cuteven more, way more, yet what we pay hasn't gone down!!! My trash hasn't been picked up for over a month; I called their number and no one EVER answers. There is supposed to be a way to request a medical exemption from the now REQUIRED curbside rules yet I cannot find a form on their website and no one will answer the phone. My question is.....considering their miserable record why did the city enter into a new contract with them and negotiate the terms they got. Absolutely the WORST service ever!!! Waited over 6 weeks for a dumpster, got lied to every time we called by Mandy, who was the most rude individual Ive talked to in quite some time. Got charged the whole while as well!! they still haven't fixed the charges to our card & now we're seeing complaints where everyone is having trouble getting them to empty their dumpster. They have the franchise in our area so no one can offer the same services at decent prices. Probably worth the extra $ to support small business. Wouldn't recommend their crap to anyone. read more

A slap in the face for being nice...... Yeah. Christmas time comes around, you tip the garbage truck driver a $50, a month later he's cutting the bungee strap that keeps animals from getting in our trash because he's too lazy to get out of the truck... Really? His supervisor remarks that he's done nothing wrong, I'm not supposed to bungee my trash can- I guess they expect me to spent 20 minutes picking up a bunch of trash through the week so their driver doesn't have to spent 15seconds unhooking my bungee.- whatever the last time I had to call them it was because one of their drivers was stealing patio furniture from a house I had for sale.... I live in Logan County and have my trash pickup service through Scott Waste Service. While there hasn't been an issue in the past, the addition of the recycle service has caused my family and I problems. It's not that we don't support recycling, it's that, for some ridiculous reason, they now only pick up our regular trash 3 weeks out of the month! This means that our already crammed-pack trash can is overflowing and we have to either store our trash until the next week or take it elsewhere. I cannot understand why it's so difficult to pick up the recycling AND my trash during the same week! The company makes a lot of promises but does not keep them. They promise to pick up all kinds of different things when talking about signing up with their service, and when we called to have them pick it up we received a no problem attitude just to put it in front and it would be done within 15 days (bulk). After waiting quite awhile and calling back wondering what was going on, we are told no they won't get it due to technical reasons that were NEVER mentioned to us in the two previous conversations. They started back pedaling and did not care that they had lied to us and offered no resolution. After everything was done and over, they had no intention of doing what was promised to us and we had to deal with it all by ourselves. Use another company!!! read more

Would prefer giving zero stars...set my trash out Wednesday evening for our usual Thursday pick-up....by Thursday night it was still there along with 8 other neighbors that I know use their service. I call Friday and they said they would send out a truck. Never came. I called twice the following Monday being reassured a truck would come. It still never came. By Tuesday I ask to speak to a supervisor only to have him tell me he believes his driver over me that NONE of the 9 of the residents on our road had our trash out and that the next time he would have his driver take a picture and put it in my account file as proof! How unprofessional!! Why would I lie about having my trash out? Along with 8 other neighbors? To top it off they finally did pick it up that evening and left a note on my door citing that my trash wasn't picked up on time because I FAILED to put it out... Unbelievable.
