TERRIBLE if less than 1 star review possible would be more accurate Despicable workmanship, communication, and pricing. For your own time and everyone else's DO NOT use this service !!! An estimated 20 minutes out, an hour later he arrived. Upon the original call that I RECORDED (it's on tape why are you lying again and again? ) " My name is _ with _ car parked _ with the keys locked in the trunk, wondering if anyone could help me out?" In response over the phone RECORDED ON TAPE "In the trunk of _? Sounds easy enough be there soon" An hour later he arrived. Re explaining the situation, his response "It's in the trunk?! Well fuck you never told me that" After maybe 20 minutes of work, 10 of which was me showing him YouTube videos on what to do and drilling into my car breaking it further, charged me $80. I was appalled. This should be illegal. Furthermore following the same YouTube video I showed him repeatedly, my handy friend managed to fix the problem in less than five minutes. Scott was annoyed to be speaking with me. He finally offered to make a new key, as I told him to proceed his response "I can't fucking do that right now I have other customers" The original call was at 8:20 He arrived around 10:15. Leaving around 10:40 Car finally fixed without his help , in fact he harmed my car more than help fix it.. down $80 and incorrect knowledge. After telling him repeatedly what to do , telling me it was impossible, breaking my car and charging me unreasonably - I'm disappointed. He shouldn't be in service. He should be sued. I will get my money back since you can't fix the damage you've done. Not only to the car but to someone's day. He's the worst. Not only locksmith but person. NOBODY USE THIS SO CALLED SCAMMING 'service' What can you say? You failed to listen, communicate, and do your job. Continuously after feedback as well. We ended up doing what I told you to do. $80 to open my door? Should be free of charge for wasting two hours. And on top of it all: Instead of a simple apology, LIES ON TOP OF LIES NEVER was given a quote until asked to leave "card or cash then" The "only $80"??? "Nuf' said" who gave you any credibility? We were having trouble with the lock on our front door which was jammed and would not open no matter what we did. My husband used all of his tools to disassemble it, but we could not do it. So right before my husband kicked the door open, we decided to give Scott a call. We weren't sure if he would be able to make it, since it was after hours. The only way I can get my point across in a review for this business is by comparison to another company. I call Reardon's and told him I needed a new lock rekeyed to match the rest of my doors Reardon's: what is the number on your original key? What type of lockset is it? Me: sent him a picture of both Reardon's: there should be no problem and then he gave me a quote which was waaaayyy less then the other guy who wanted to give me his old inventory. He then did the job the same day! Amazing right? Or does that sound how you would anticipate the conversation would go? This is why that conversation with Reardon's is amazing and why he is my knight in shining armor today: PROFESSIONALISM! ...and this conversation with another local company: I asked them the same thing I asked this company which was that I needed a new lock rekeyed to match my other locks on the house. To me this just seemed like a straightforward request that just needed a straightforward answer, however, the representative from the company I was talking to decided this was a good time to teach me locksmithing 101 on this initial phone call, talking ad nauseum about how looks work etc however, I was busy and I was working and didn't have time to take his course. He also felt that this was a good time to throw in huge amounts of sarcasm into the phone call and minimize me to and treat me like a three-year-old. Key guy: Ma'am!!! What kind of car do you drive? Me: Uh hmm why do you need to know my car? My thought: (Is this some kind of weird stalker??) Key guy: well everyone knows you can not use a Volkswagen key on your Saturn. Me: ummm ok so I don't need a key for my Saturn. can you do my locks in my house or not? Key guy: what shape is your key? Me: well it's shaped like my other keys, like do you want to know how many bumps and points or what??? (So I am supposed to count or what?) Key guy: no the top. Is it shaped like a stop sign? Me: well no I got one of those keys that has the shape of a house on it. Key guy: how am I supposed to know what kind of key that is, to match it to a lock set? Me: well I don't know, I am not a locksmith Key guy; would you like a lock that looks different then the other locks on your house. I have one that is a different color Me: seriously? I need one that matches the rest (is he seriously trying to unload his old stock on me??) 15 more minutes of this conversation and I am reduced to a mixture of a raging maniac and a tearful child! (While at work) Before hanging up on him and wishing I had one of those old phones where you could hang up multiple times and loud, I told him I don't ever want to talk to him again and under no uncertain terms do I ever want to do business with him. 2 minutes later he called back and tried to start over. Oh my gosh did I stutter??? Leave me alone! And the guy now knows what I drive!! I think I seriously need therapy now! I had purchased a used Lexus, sold my Ford Escape to my nephew and my sister drives a Ford Edge.
