We were so lucky to reach Kelly on the phone when we had an emergency front door handle/lock fail! Kelly came to our home within 30 minutes of our call and was able to repair our lock. He is very knowledgeable and professional! read more

Kelly stopped by my house as he was driving home to fix my door lock. He examined the lock, took it apart, fixed it, and then put it back together all within 35 minutes. For the past 2 months we've had to exit out the garage because our key did not work. A previous locksmith assessed the issue and not only were we told we had to order a new lock but were quoted thousands of dollars to fix it. Kelly did an amazing job, and I can use my house key! I will definitely be calling and referring Kelly to anyone with locksmith needs. read more

No wonder he has a 5 star rating. Had a serious problem with a very large and secure gun safe. Combination lock wouldn't allow door to open, even after an hour of constantly redoing the combination. Called the safe manufacturer, but all they could do was walk me through the combination, and got same result. Called Kelly, who came out same day, tried the combination, but knowing how age and wear and tear could affect the lock, did it just right and got it opened after just a couple of tries. He then took lock apart, serviced it, adjusted it to compensate for wear, and changed the combination to the numbers I wanted. He also changed keying on 3 doors I'd been meaning to get rekeyed. All done with a pleasant personality, obvious knowledge and ability. And, his fee was very reasonable in view of the time put in, and the work done. Highly recommended. It should be mentioned that I called someone else on the Yelp list first, and HE recommended Kelly because he knew Kelly would be able to address the safe issues. read more

Our property management company recently tried Central Coast Lock & Key on an eviction. The technicians were right on time. No key was available and they swiftly changed out the lock and allowed access. They are very responsive via telephone and text. I would highly recommend this company for any lock and key issues. They're on my list for future lock changes, hardware repairs and key duplications! read more

Great, professional service! I called on a Wednesday night at 10:00 pm in Grover Beach after getting locked out of my house and owner/locksmith Kelly was able to come out after about 25 minutes and help us out and get us in! My parents came down to visit and I took them out to dinner in their car, thereby forgetting my own car (and house) keys at home. I called several locksmiths, most of which did not pick up, likely due to the lateness of the hour. Luckily I got connected to Key Solutions and Kelly made the 25 minute drive out from Santa Maria to Grover Beach. It took him about another 15-20 minutes to get us in. He was friendly and professional. I was able to verify my address with a bill. The service cost $105.00. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Long story short: I had need of a Locksmith. Looked up Locksmiths on the internet and read several reviews of local folks. I liked the looks of Kellys' reviews so called him. To my surprise he said he'd be right out. He arrived, assessed the situation and promptly re-keyed our locks. They've worked well since then. He was fast, courteous, and professional as well as being plain ol friendly! I would, will, and have recommended him. He has earned the title of "My Locksmith ". read more

Quick and basically the only locksmith available during covid. Way overpriced though!

I highly recommend Key Solutions. I can't say enough about how promt, friendly, professional and reasonably priced. I called with a urgent need to have my whole house re-keyed due to unfortunate situation. Key solutions kindly squeezed me in his very busy day, to come ASAP and changed my locks. I was blown away with his level of compassion for my situation and response to come even when it was late in the day, he was busy, and I live in the country, so it's a drive to my home. My son and his girlfriend were in Pismo Beach for the weekend riding dune buggies. The keys to his car are somewhere on the beach. Key Solutions was awesome! He helped us avoid a tow fee and rode from the parking lot where his work truck was back and forth to the beach where my sons car was to make a new key all for a very low price. He was so nice with every phone call, and there were a lot of them, trying to coordinate from our home in Santa Rosa as to how we could make this work. Thank you so much!!!!! read more

My front door needed someone to install a new entry unit. I e-mailed "Key Solutions" explaining my situation. Kelly called me within the hour. We set up a very convenient time for me. He was prompt, personable, very knowledgeable in his trade, and professional. I suffer from PTSD and knowing that I would be totally alone on the day he would arrive I had extreme trepidation. Kelly made me feel comfortable like I was talking to my brother and I learned a lot about security and door locks! I highly recommend "Key Solutions" and have already recommended Kelly to a couple of other people I know. Thank you for the great service, conversation! And the front door is secure!!! read more

This is definitely my new locksmith and right in my neighborhood too. I had purchased a locking gas cap, a factory part from Honda, for my Element. It came with a key of course, but Kelly skillfully flicked the tumblers (or whatevers) to make my ignition key unlock the gas cap--one less key on the key ring! Excellent service and friendly conversation. read more
