Charles had a great attitude and was very careful with his job and my car. I immediately felt less stressed once he was there and I appreciate everything that he and Smitty's towing did. I was stuck on the Cuesta grade originally before getting towed by Charles in pretty dangerous spot. Another Smitty's driver Andy showed up randomly passing by to tow me to safer location for Charles to pick me up, which is another good example of where these guys heart is. This tow company said no unless she paid $400. I said, we have insurance with an open claim and AAA towing, tow it to a collision center (I was out of state). It went to the tow yard. On 8/3 I went in person and emptied the car, they took a photo of my license and registration. I asked again to have the car towed to a collision center. This tow company had me complete paperwork to release the car to Allstate for them to arrange the movement to the collision center. Then I get a notice in the mail that the tow company put a lien on the car. Why not bill Allstate who you have the information for and claim number? Or better yet, why not tow the car straight to the collision center as requested? I feel like this company is scamming my 16 year old at this point. I get you need to make a $, but she's a kid and we told you the car insurance info, claim info at pick up and that we have AAA. She's not even at fault.
