A huge rainstorm blew in as I drove over and so I entered quite literally with a clap of thunder. It was scary! I made a joke about getting struck by lightning to defuse the tension and the two employees and the couple guests in the space looked at me like I'd grown three heads and said nothing. This frosty reception continued as I looked at the menu, asked a question, and placed my order. Not the most welcoming staff. The atmosphere otherwise is very nice! Love the decor and the welcoming art and signs. Seems like a great place to get some work done. There's a small library where you can grab a book to read too. There's pastries and baked goods for sale and maybe a few other things to eat; I was stuffed from lunch so didn't pay too close attention. I asked a staff member which of two specialty lattes she liked better; she flatly told me she hadn't tried the "Easley" but that the "Swann" was their best seller. I chose that. It had white chocolate and caramel; I declined the whipped cream on top and got it iced. It was a really good coffee drink! Super pale blonde in color and very sweet...but that's how I like my sugar - er, coffee. It was a nice dessert/energizer combo and I enjoyed it a lot! Would ultimately recommend for vibes and a tasty treat.

This McDonald's has gone downhill when it comes to service. The Teenagers who work here don't give…read morea damn about customer service and are outright rude. I wish I could go to a different McDonald's, but the closest 2 are too far away to go to. I'm exhausted arguing with bratty teenagers, receiving food that's not what I ordered, and yesterday, a little white girl at window 2 shoved my drink in my hand, which busted, and the drink went on me and in my car. No greeting, just full on shoved and told me to pull up because she didn't want to deal with her mistake, soaking a customer in Dr. Pepper. I was refused a refill, had half a drink left, and was covered in stickiness. SOMEONE PLEASE FIRE THESE BRATTY TEENAGERS AND GET GOOD WORKERS AGAIN. I LEGIT WOULD WORK THERE FOR THEM IF I WASN'T DISABLED. ITS NOT THAT HARD TO DO YOUR DAMN JOB KIDDOS!. At least the food tastes good, so there's 1 positive.

There's a gravel parking lot with a few bumps in it, so watch yourself as you walk in. The inside is like a cafe/small market with lots of dry goods and souvenirs for purchase. It has some faith-based/churchy vibes and it's clean inside. I'll be totally honest, I don't really care for the name "Sharecroppers" and even less for the phrase about picking cotton painted on the wall, but to each their own I suppose. It was rather stuffy in the building; definitely could've used some A/C. There were two employees present, a young man and woman. I interfaced more with the young man; he was somewhat surly and didn't engage with me much. The woman was much friendlier and provided recommendations and information when he was noncommittal and non-communicative. So why the 4 stars, still? The drink was awesome. I got one of their specialty seasonal drinks, a churro latte. The nice woman made it and it was excellent; smooth, creamy, sweet, and super cinnamony -- just like a churro! It was a delightful and refreshing treat that was just what I needed. It was one of the best specialty lattes I've had in a while; it delivered on its promised flavors, wasn't bitter but also wasn't overly sweet, and had a great ratio of ice to beverage. Bravo on the latte! Definitely would drink again.

The interior is decorated really nicely, kind of cool and funky vibes with a surprising amount of space available to hang out. Cute merchandise for sale too. I had a little bit of trouble finding the menu but eventually found it on a paper card placed somewhat inconspicuously near the register. I was only interested in coffee but they have a decent selection of cafe-type food and other beverages. They have seasonal specials and more standard, always-available house specials. I selected one of these and got a small iced Turtle latte, which had chocolate, caramel, and praline flavors. I thought service was a little standoffish and put-upon seeming, but I wouldn't say they were rude; just not super welcoming. My drink was made and served quickly and I got back on the road. The drink was good! Nice balance of ice to liquid and a yummy, sweet, rich turtle flavor. There was a slight artificially nutty aftertaste that I'd guess was the praline that I didn't love, but overall this was a solid drink that I'd probably order again. Give them a try if you're in the area.
