A huge rainstorm blew in as I drove over and so I entered quite literally with a clap of thunder. It was scary! I made a joke about getting struck by lightning to defuse the tension and the two employees and the couple guests in the space looked at me like I'd grown three heads and said nothing. This frosty reception continued as I looked at the menu, asked a question, and placed my order. Not the most welcoming staff. The atmosphere otherwise is very nice! Love the decor and the welcoming art and signs. Seems like a great place to get some work done. There's a small library where you can grab a book to read too. There's pastries and baked goods for sale and maybe a few other things to eat; I was stuffed from lunch so didn't pay too close attention. I asked a staff member which of two specialty lattes she liked better; she flatly told me she hadn't tried the "Easley" but that the "Swann" was their best seller. I chose that. It had white chocolate and caramel; I declined the whipped cream on top and got it iced. It was a really good coffee drink! Super pale blonde in color and very sweet...but that's how I like my sugar - er, coffee. It was a nice dessert/energizer combo and I enjoyed it a lot! Would ultimately recommend for vibes and a tasty treat.

Right now, I'm in love with their Iced Vanilla Chai Tea topped with Lavender Cold Foam--it's simply delicious! The wait isn't ever too long, and the prices are just right. Plus, they offer discounts for healthcare workers, which is a nice touch! I also love how convenient their app is for curbside, inside, or drive-thru pickups.

As I said, Barking Bee Coffee has a great vibe. It is bright and cheerful. I guess that I could say the same about the staff, they were bright and cheerful, as well. The coffee was good and overall, I was impressed with my overall experience here at Barking Bee Coffee. I will give Barking Bee Coffee an overall rating of five stars for a very good experience. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend that you check out Barking Bee Coffee. I do not think that you will be disappointed with Barking Bee Coffee.

There are comfortable couches as well as tables and chairs. There are multiple rooms with bookcases and books for customers to peruse while getting their java fix. The people who were working Thursday when we stopped in were so nice. I told the woman at the register that I'd never been there before. I asked her to pick her favorite coffee and snack for me. She asked me a few key questions and chose the most delicious and perfect things! I couldn't have chosen better myself. The honey vanilla latte and cinnamon roll with cream cheese was amazing! My husband got an iced Chai drink with a pump of vanilla. The Chai served here is locally sourced from a family in Blount County and you can definitely tell its fresh. His was quite possibly the best drink I've ever had in my life. They sell reasonably priced tshirts, sweatshirts, coffee mugs, whole coffee beans, ground coffee, tea, and homemade candles that smell like their coffee flavors! They offer special date nights, classes on roasting coffee, book club, pop up shops, etc. See photos for times and dates of the Barking Bee After Dark events. We cannot wait to go back to this little Cafe!

There is plenty of table and couch sitting in the front and back of the store, and the side of the street it is on gives it so much natural light to the front sitting area. - Coffee: The coffee was excellent, and there were a ton of flavor and mix options. I also give them extra props for the extra non coffee drink options they had. - Food: The store had several pastry and treat options, but they also had full meal options. I was excited to see that they had so many breakfast choices. As the shop was about to close, we tried mostly treats. Specifically we tried the cheese straws, strawberry cake pops and peach pound cake. I enjoyed the cake, but I think the cake pop was my absolute favorite of the three. - Prices: while some of the treats were a little expensive, most of the main drink and food options were on par to other coffee shops. - Staff: The three girls we spoke to were an absolute delight, and so pleasant. - Merch: The store had a few items such as t-shirts, candles and mugs available I give this shop a 4/5 's and will definitely be back. It is thankfully on my route from current home to my old hometown, so hopefully I will get to see them again soon.

This is a small coffee shop that appears to share a space with another business. There was a sign out front that explained they only operated an inside sitting space during the hours of the other business; it was drive through only otherwise. This was no big deal for us! They have coffee, smoothie, and some snacks and cafe type meals like grilled cheeses. I didn't see any specialty drinks but there were a LOT of flavor add-ins. I saw an option for chocolate peanut butter which I immediately jumped on. This is a somewhat uncommon flavor -- in fact, I've only had it once at another coffee stop -- and so I was excited! Iced lattes come in three sizes; I got the smallest. The price was about what you'd expect. Service was truly lovely! Lady at the drive through had such a nice disposition and seemed very happy and kind. My drink came out quickly. However, taste-wise, it didn't really deliver for me. It had a very gritty texture that wasn't pleasant, and not much discernible peanut butter flavor. The coffee flavor itself was a little on the acidic side but terrible. Just overall not my favorite. The drink was really pretty to look at, though! Perhaps I got the wrong flavor add-in. I'd be willing to give them another try someday.
