Best coffee shop in town. The vibes are always right and the matcha and scones are always perfection. Their lattes are so good too - espresso is a perfect roast that's flavor-rich but not bitter, and they froth milk perfectly. Haven't had anything I haven't loved! And the staff is the sweetest. We stopped in for my wife's after dinner coffee and it was a pretty good experience. The place seemed busy as a single barista was running the counter. That slowed things down a bit with many multi drink orders and a number of kids sitting at the counter. All in all a pretty cool place. read more

This was not my first time here, but it may be my last. The coffee was good, but the service was below par. Maybe I misunderstood the vibe of this place, but the loud conversation between the two baristas was not very welcoming and honestly a bit hostile. The initial interaction was great, friendly, and welcoming. However, after the coffee had been served, they seemed to have no regard for anyone else in the restaurant. There were other people there, yet I could hear the two of them talking louder than anyone else. It was not just work conversations either, they were swearing loudly, gossiping about coworkers, and even made derogatory comments about a man's faith and how the local church he went to was a "cult" and that it was "ridiculous that people would even go there." I am not a member of the church, but I can tell you many people in Gadsden go there, and I'm sure they would not take to those comments very kindly. I understand that The Coffee Bar is a little more trendy and progressive than Gadsden is probably used to, and that's great. I have seen them make strides to be more inclusive and accepting, but that was not the vibe I got on my visit. Everyone is welcome and entitled to have their own opinions and make their remarks. Still, I didn't appreciate being subjected to it on a late Saturday morning while I was just trying to enjoy my coffee. I still think it's a cool spot and appreciate what they are doing to build the culture in Gadsden, but this was disappointing. I may come back as perhaps this was just an off day for those two baristas or just out of character. It's not fair to mark a business's entire reputation by one encounter, but for now, this is the impression that I was left with. read more

Great coffee place on Main Street in downtown Gadsden. Yes, I know what I said ... but, I didn't drink any of the coffee! We had been shopping in the area and wanted something to drink. We popped in here since my wife forgot her coffee at home and got her hooked up with a fresh brew. As for myself, well, they happened to have blackberry flavoring .... which is all the makings for a perfect steamer. I had a blackberry vanilla steamer. I have to admit, it was as good as, if not better than, the best one I've ever had. The staff here were friendly, they were only open a few more minutes, but never made us feel rushed and took great care in making our drinks. Prices were on par with what you would expect to pay at any other type of coffee house like this. Also, this place is set up really nice. Some couches and chairs in the front area, and the same in the back area. Plus a small stage for live music. Nor sure how often that happens, but a cool setting for it when it does. read more

When you walk in the warm environment is the first thing you notice. All workers have always been kind and attentive, my go to is a white chocolate latte with oat milk and I also enjoy trying anything new there. They have hot teas as well if you're not into coffee and even fruit drinks too. The baked goods are always fresh and there's a place where you can heat them up as well. This is my go to study place with my friends in between classes and the free wifi is a plus! This is a very friendly and calming environment, I highly recommend. read more

Love this coffee shop downtown. Good location right around some restaurants. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is awesome. I go there weekly to read, hangout, or listen to live music. A great coffee shop in the downtown area of Gadsden. I met a friend for coffee here yesterday. When you walk in, there's a big community style table with a game of chess at one end... there's a chalkboard with menu items written on it, and a cozy back area if you look further. It looks like sometimes they have live music. I ordered a latte for here (in a mug) and it was perfect! My friend and I stayed a couple of hours talking. The coffee shop was pretty quiet yesterday (Monday morning) with a couple of people studying and a group meeting in the back. I love the vibe of this coffee shop. It is very laid back, the opposite of some of those snobby coffee shops... it feels like a real community coffee shop should! Friendly, chill & comfortable. read more

Since there are limited places in Gadsden to get freshly made lattes, I have visited this business place several times. Each time, Staff seem are so unfriendly . . . not even a thank you or come back. And forget a greeting when you come in; it's almost like you have inconvenienced them. The locations off the beaten path, so they should be thankful that customers have driven to the establishment. I gave this place 20 tries, but yesterday was my last. Good atmosphere. Interesting art pieces on the walls. There is live music, often times. I had a cappuccino that wouldn't win any awards, but was pleasant nonetheless. The barista was nice. It was mostly a younger crowd, when I visited. Overall, it is a great place to go and have a relaxing coffee break and chat with family and friends... when the music isn't blaring that is. I am thrilled to have a new coffee shop in Gadsden. There has been an opened market for one since the Coffee Well closed (and honestly even before then). This is in a great location with a cool railroad style, with the narrow long room. The brick walls are cool and the napkins are a great touch. The service is good and the people are friendly. I also love the chalkboard wall with different topics for customers to contribute to once a week. I had a regular latte my first visit, which was good. On my second visit, I had a chai latte, they were out of the regular chai and recommended a chocolate chai. This wasn't my favorite but it was still good. I plan to make this a regular spot for me when I am in Gadsden visiting family. I hope it sticks around for a long time. read more
