I'd say before this week I had pegged Homers as more of a three star spot. It was very hit or miss, and the vibes weren't hitting it for me. Just my personal preference. Speed up to Wednesday when Parisi was packed and I had a meeting on the calendar. My colleague suggested we move over to Homers since there were no tables at Parisi and I had a wonderful time here this week. My cold brew was on par, if not better than local competitors, the barista super friendly, and the space felt homey in a good way. You may not want to have any private conversations between colleagues or friends either since the noise level became too much for a few people who left too due to some rumbunctious children. Being well aware that they have a play area upstairs should be a big hint. Once summer is here I have noticed whether friends or someone who comes to visit the proprietor, usually brings children and it can get noisy. I will have to keep this in mind and wait until September I guess.
