That was amazing. It was on the edge of a peach Orchard and they had beautiful produce. The owner, Mr. Lawson told me he picked these cucumbers the day before. I've got them working on some pickles right now. The tomatoes were so beautiful! My husband and I ate one last night. You can't get tomatoes like this in the grocery store. In the afternoon we bought some yummy housemaid peach ice cream, and sat on the rockers and just enjoyed! The staff there was so friendly; they exuded positivity and southern hospitality! We appreciated the clean environment during our recent visit…read more My one concern came when watching the workers cutting strawberries: they took them straight from the container, cut the stems and leaves off, quartered them, and then put them in their serving containers. Never washed them off. In order to verify, I asked the employee, and she confirmed they do not get washed. I definitely understand how soggy strawberries can get after being washed! However, I am very uncomfortable with the idea of not at least rinsing off some of the herbicides, pesticides, dirt, and insects that are on fresh strawberries. I'm sure I'm not alone. Be careful of the fresh berries!
