We appreciated the clean environment during our recent visit. My one concern came when watching the workers cutting strawberries: they took them straight from the container, cut the stems and leaves off, quartered them, and then put them in their serving containers. Never washed them off. In order to verify, I asked the employee, and she confirmed they do not get washed. I definitely understand how soggy strawberries can get after being washed! However, I am very uncomfortable with the idea of not at least rinsing off some of the herbicides, pesticides, dirt, and insects that are on fresh strawberries. I'm sure I'm not alone. Here at 8:34pm and as I walked in was told "hello, we are closed" doors unlocked. Mopping and sweeping. Sign on door and google says closes at 9:00 pm so I'm confused as well as another set of customers that were about to come in as well. I treated my kids to fro-yo at The Mix. It wasn't busy but it was the only ice cream shop I found to be open that day (can't remember if it was a Sunday or Monday). They serve ice cream but also have a good fro-yo selection, which is what we were looking for. We haven't had fro-yo since leaving the PNW just over a year ago. The toppings bar was great too. I enjoyed the conversation with the staff in shop that night. They were very friendly and gave us a lot of good information and places to try as we are still relatively new to the Valdosta area. read more

After being turned down at 3 places for ice cream, I was SO excited to see this place still open (at 9:30PM). AND I read they had bluebell! YES! Unfortunately, walking in the store- instead of being greeted with "hi welcome to the mix" we got greeted with "oh my gosh, are you serious?" And "well these are the last ones" (I'm assuming referring to customers.) ...? Are you serious? I decided to look past it. Whatever, I just wanted Ice cream. The ENTIRE time we were in the store, we were basically being rushed out. The employees were FAR more worried about shutting the store down, cleaning and going home than anything else. Some machines were literally shut down already. Now, they said it was because they "broken" but. I can't help but not believe it. I hope I'm wrong. Plus, they said they broke earlier today, no "out of order" sign on the machines, AND she was acting like she was surprised they weren't working?? Very confused. We asked about the machines, and it was like no one understood what we were talking about. Couldn't get a straight answer about what was wrong, hence me believing they shut them down already. We had one girl turn around from taking out trash (after us asking about the machines being down) and say "yeah we close in 20 minutes, sooo....." basically telling us to hurry. ? Is that supposed to keep me from getting any ice cream? (She actually said something to this effect multiple times) Then she had the nerve to ask us if we were staying to eat!!! Mind you, we walked in at 9:30 (and out at 9:45)!!! The other couple that walked in with us was just as confused as we were. The ice cream lids were already on like they were done serving. Look, I've worked in a frozen yogurt store. It doesn't take long to close. It's Sunday, I get it. But CMON. Absolutely ridiculous. Two stars because of the bluebell. But I was super disappointed with the service. It honestly was just one girl that I had a problem with that kept making these comments, and you could tell she was super stressed trying to close, and clean, and apparently us walking in just made her more stressed. Fun atmosphere and nice customer service. The flavors of froyo are limited compared to other froyo locations but delicious. Huge topping bar with many choices. They have other dessert choices as well, but we always choose the froyo. read more

My daughter and I goto the Mix once or twice a week. The staff is always friendly and it is a nice place for a quick cool treat.

I live the White Chocolate Mousee! Wish they would chop their almonds and pecans but staff is always nice enough to chop for me!

I really enjoy The Mix! I can enjoy NSA (no sugar added) yogurt topped with fruit and nuts and not blow my diet. The only thing that could make my visit better would be for the NSA flavor to rotate, but vanilla works for me in the meantime. read more

Great little frozen yogurt shop in Valdosta! Very clean place. Very friendly staff and good selection of toppings. They have 10 flavors of yogurt to choose from that do switch from time to time. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Ask for a punch card, once you fill it you can get 8oz free. They also have special events, this Valentine's Day they are offering buy one get one 50% and they will have chocolate covered strawberries. This is the best place to get Frozen Yogurt in Valdosta! The staff are extremely friendly and the topping bar is huge! On top of that the choices of fro-yo are great and change regularly. My favorite combination is peach fro-yo in a waffle cone with pound cake on the bottom (to prevent leaking) and a small amount of walnuts in maple syrup on top. The Mix is an awesome place to go for frozen yogurt! My family and I took a trip last night it was great! The yogurt taste great and there are tons of topping to go on top! Both of the young ladies there were very nice, helpful and attentive with wonderful smiles. While it was a very nice experience I would have to say if you're going to visit be prepared.... It was a little pricey! It's calculated by the ounce. Which cost a family of 4 quite a bit. Overall it was a great experience and I would visit a again with the wife. read more
