Me and my family absolutely love the snow cones at snopocalypse, me and my family go there all the time! But today it was different. The staff was just sitting in the corner playing card games the entire time I was there, now I'm all for some fun and a card game, while waiting for customers, but when we walked in, I was standing at the counter for five minutes before someone came and took me and my kids orders. I feel as though the teens there don't really take it as seriously as they need to and there was even a girl there that did not work at snopocalypse that was trying to make snowcones. I'm guessing one of their friends. The girl who came and took my order had a horrible attitude and was so rude. And they all kept screaming at the table and I'm all for some fun but cussing and shouting while my kids are in there is OUTRAGEOUS! My family loves shaved ice, so while visiting Valdosta I heard about Snopocalypse and we visited every day we were in town. You get three flavors with every size and there is a full page list of suggestions of flavors including: Dill Pickle Georgia Peach Cherimoya Nectar Lemon Lime Cookie Dough And a host of others And before you think this is just a childhood memory of a snow cone, you can stuff your choice with soft serve ice cream or top it with condensed milk, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce or marshmallow cream. And the artistic way the cups come out will having you thinking rainbows, unicorns and long walks on the beach in Tahiti. Everytime I come to snopocalypse, I always have such a pleasant experience due to great service and amazing flavors of snocones. Unfortunately, this time wasn't so pleasant. When I walked in, the smell was PUTRID!! The staff was playing uno on the side and huffed as they got up and had side conversation before they actually asked for our order without even greeting us. The snocones didn't taste great this time as if they didn't have much flavor, more so just like ice. I watched another customer come in as I was waiting and ordered an Oreo milkshake with no chocolate ice cream. When they handed her the milkshake, she politely asked to verify if there was chocolate ice cream in it and the staff (two ladies) very rudely let her know that it was the Oreo that made it dark and they rolled their eyes and proceeded to speak harshly about the customer. I was very disappointed in the service today. The crew that was here on 7/15/24 @ 4pm, one's name was Claire, definitely needs some more training and etiquette on how to deal with customers. read more

Snopocalypse is a small establishment specializing in "New Orleans Style Snowballs" and other desserts. SNOWBALLS (4/5): This is the first snowball place to make Valdosta it's home and everyone (including myself) is very excited about it. Snopocalypse has a TON of flavors available and some really cool combination choices I haven't seen at other snow cone establishments. My recommendation is getting your snow cone topped with sweetened condensed milk, it really adds a great decadence to the snow cone with out being overly sweet. The only reason for the 4/5 rating was that I felt there was too much syrup in all of the snow cones I ordered. Now don't hear me wrong, having too much syrup is still MUCH better than not having enough, but hopefully, as Snopocalypse gets settled in they will find the perfect ratio and I will update my review. PRICE (5/5): The snowballs here are very fairly priced and won't break the bank. It is important to know that as of the time I am writing this review, Snopocalypse is CASH ONLY. Expect to pay about $3-5 for a snow cone depending on what you would like. SERVICE (5/5): Snopocalypse is a family owned business and the people who work here are very friendly! All in all, I am so happy Snopocalypse opened in Valdosta. They have a few new business kinks to work out but I am sure they will fix them. I will be returning. read more

After many months I finally tried this place and man am I glad! They have opened another location across town but it wasn't until today that I realized this one is like 2 min from my house. Crazy right? There's a sign they have out towards the street that says Shaved Ice but if you're not paying attention, it's completely understandable to not notice it because it's sort of behind a tackle shop. If you know where Hip-Hop is then it's between the two and easier to find with that knowledge. They have over 100 flavors and it's so hard to choose! They all sound so good. Per my bff's recommendation, I got a small (12 oz) strawberry shortcake stuffed (with ice cream). At first I was a little skeptical about mixing ice cream and shaved ice but I trusted her judgement and was pleasantly satisfied after tasting. For mine, it was $3.25 which for how much they give i think is a super good deal. When I went there a small line but it moved super quick and the staff are all very friendly. I will most definitely be coming back when I am in town again and I can't wait! read more

Finally... snowcones in valdosta! Don't be fooled by the small size, this place is great! I went on their 5th day in business and it was packed! Even though it was a tight squeeze with the crowd, the customer service was excellent. I was greater at the door and shown their menu (literally a million flavors and options to "stuff" it with ice cream. Overall, great addition to valdosta! I heard all the buzz around town from word of mouth, no advertising...everyone claims how amazing this place is. I wondered what could be so amazing about snow cones. Not the case, this is much more than snow cones, they have over 100 house made flavors. You can get it like a snow cone, or stuffed with ice cream in the middle, or covered with many different toppings. I was concerned about the ice cream in the middle and I felt foolish after trying it. It was amazing. So when we arrived there was a line around the building! It took us 30 min to order but it was worth it. While we were waiting the owner had to call in help and they tripled their staff in the time we were there. You have to try this place. read more

Love this place but its a hit or miss when it comes to the syrup. We come here about twice a week for the past 6 weeks and either there's too much syrup or not enough. It was good and tasty. The place is amazingly crowded with very little room to sit - so not a place I'd make a usual destination. The service was quick and helpful for us as first timers. The flavors were too subtle for my taste buds so - while I liked the combo of ice cream and icee and syrup, I won't go out of my way to come back (though if the family wants to I'm not going to object). read more

We absolutely LOVE Snopocalypse. It's super cheap, they have a huge assortment of syrup flavors, the staff is incredibly kind. They literally treat you like family. Seriously, where can you go get an amazing dessert for under $3 and it's more than enough. It's USUALLY very busy, and you might find yourself waiting in a line out the door, but I'm never bothered by it. I'd rather see a nice business like this busy than not. A little disappointed this visit. Lots of younger kids in there behind the counter, chatting and gossiping. Did not get as much flavoring as last visit. A lot of just unflavored ice in this cup! Miss the owner's family. Don't know the young ladies' name from last time, but she needs to train all new workers. Her snowballs were saturated, so got flavor in every bite.
