The front. I made it to the right place today.
Michael H.

Y'all have got to try this! For anyone who has fond memories of snowcones from the snow cone truck at the ballpark, this is that and so much more. They will put a scoop of ice cream (or cheesecake if that is your thing) inside that finely shaved/crushed ice and that makes it all the more better. And, where the snow cone truck guy always seemed so parsimonious with the syrup, these folks are generous. There's umpteen flavors (see the menu photos) but for my recent visit I went with one cherry and one dreamsickle. Of course they both had a scoop of ice cream. I had to give the ice cream addition a try and it definitely is worth it. The cherry Sneauxball was for me. A shot of nostalgia from the olden days when I always ordered a cherry snow cone. It was as good as remembered and even better with that scoop of ice cream...but let's talk about that dreamsickle. I got that one for my wife. When I left the house she said she would probably only have a few bites and I could finish it. Ha ha ha. Fat chance. I did get to taste it and I understand why she finished it. The flavor is just what you would expect and the addition of that scoop of ice cream made it just like eating an orange dreamsickle. I think it will be 2 dreamsickles from here on out...and yes, there will be future visits. For the covid averse it was a comfortable experience. When I went it was not busy (and I doubt I would have gone in if it had been busy). The one employee on duty was wearing a mask and the floor was marked for social distancing. With me in a mask and nobody else around I could relax and order. Service was friendly and courteous. They are located in a recently renovated strip of buildings on S. Adams St. Parking is in front of the building although there may be more parking on the side and back of the building. I didn't check that out. Those spaces out front mean you have to back out into S. Adams St. when you leave. That can be hairy when traffic is heavy, especially if you stubbornly want to continue south on Adams. I will be looking at other parking options next time since I could use the exercise from walking extra steps. I have been practicing covid avoidance for almost a year now and life has been even more sedentary than it used to be. Accessibility may be an issue if there is more than one person wanting the one handicapped parking space that is in front of one of the other shops in the strip. Getting in and out of the shop should be ok although the front door is not powered. There is lots of room around the counter space inside, primarily because there is no seating inside at this time. One final word of caution: DO NOT try to take these Sneauxballs home in your car's cupholders so they can be consumed at home. Like I said, they are generous with the syrup and the ice is domed above the cup rim. It's going to slosh and it's going to melt. The napkin they wrap around the cup will soon be soaked with syrup and then your cup holder will start filling up. Desperately grabbing a straw from one of your hidey holes in the car and trying to suck down the syrup while stopped at a traffic light is not going to help much. Take it from someone who knows. Just eat your Sneauxball there at the shop, even if it means eating it in your car or standing outside somewhere. Mango + Pina Colada

YUM!!! These things are delicious ! I got a mango, pina colada cone. Total dynamic duo, you gotta try it. The staff were outgoing and friendly. They also had good music playing in the background. That with the decor, good vibes all around.

I have been wanting to try Sneauxball because I have heard so many good things about them. I have also been intentional about supporting Black-owned businesses like this one. I am glad I finally made time to check them out. This was my first visit but it will definitely not be my last! At the glowing recommendation by Kye who took my order (I asked his opinion since I was a first timer), I ordered the Ace - strawberry cheesecake stuffed with cheesecake. Wow! It is decadent and delicious, and the ice was the perfect texture. Kye's service was excellent and I enjoyed watching him make customers smile while the other employees made the orders. Jarrett is the owner and he was there being amazing including talking with and taking pictures of customers with their delicious Sneauxballs. During a global pandemic, I always look at safety. I am very impressed with all the protocols in place including masks required, no inside seating, hand sanitizer provided, and lines on the floor showing safe distance. As I ate my fantastic Sneauxball in my car, I watched diverse families, small groups, and individuals entering to place their orders then coming out smiling with their food. What a cool, happy place with quality products! I look forward to returning, especially in the summer, to get a treat to cool down.

Being from HI I am always reluctant to try the "shave ice" here in Tally. A lot of them claim to be hawaiian shave ice but they're always too chunky. But the sneuxballs here are the absolute best I have ever had. The ice is so soft, it's almost like cotton candy, and they put just the right amount of syrup so it doesn't pool in the bottom of your cup. They have a wide range of flavors to choose from but I like to stick to my passion fruit. When you come here, I suggest parking next door at the Dollar Tree. I will definetly be back often when the weather warms up.

A lover of sweets, this new addition to the South Side is an uber plus for my sweet tooth. My first snow cone was stuffed with cheesecake. I'm lactose intolerant. Not a good idea. Delicious! Just not a good idea :). The syrups are rich and they FILL the cup. You can't forget the creole cream as a topper. This is and will be added to my summer collection!

If you go here expecting the average state fair snow cone you will be in for a treat. This isn't a snow cone from your childhood for sure. They pack these sneauxballs with everything from sweet cream, cheese cake AND ICE CREAM. I opted for a fan favorite on the menu. It was a blue Hawaiian and kiwi stuffed with vanilla ice cream. Talk about a party in your mouth. I definitely will be going back to try some of the other treats sooner than later. This was a great first experience.

I completely forgot to snap a pic of my Blue Hawaiian/Passionfruit w/Creole Creme, but I assure it was good!!! I lived in Hawaii for 3.5 years & shaved ice is definitely a favorite. Plus, supporting local as well as black owned businesses are equally as important to me. Choices are good - I need to try one w/ cheesecake tho! Service was wonderful & even tho it's been chillier recently that's not a reason to stop in & grab an icy treat!

This #BlackOwnedBusiness provides a great product! First off I will say that this is not your average snow cone. The ice is so soft and the flavors are fantastic! You have several to choose from and can enhance them with cheesecake, ice cream or BOTH! They also have a food truck option which I tried years ago but my recent visit was an epic tastebud sensation! The staff was OK. My preggo friend and I visited because we saw a special they promoted on Instagram but didn't realize it was a limited time only. That was a bit of a bummer, but we made the trip and it was our first time at the establishment so went ahead and partook. I tried the tidal wave and pink lemonade, another combo recommended on their social media and it DID NOT disappoint. The 16 oz. was 5 bucks and it was plenty! My gf tried the strawberry cheesecake and she equally enjoyed!!! I can say the owner is very gracious and appreciative of the community's support. I'll definitely be a repeat customer and try to visit again before my bundle of joy arrives in a few weeks! :0)

So my classmates would always come to class with a little sneauxball and I would be like well dang where are they coming from. My classmate Dom finally invited me and I'd like to say I'm highly disappointed in myself. I been here Spring AND Fall semester and would pass this place going TO AND from school and this is my first time going here. It's SOOOOO GOOD. I'll make up for it no worries

It was good but not WOW. Nothing special about it. Rosemary cookie: 5 stars. To me it felt like a sugar cookie with rosemary. I is VERY good and I will get more :) Raspberry cookie: 3 stars. Meh. Spicy Thai pork: 4.5 stars. It is good and flavourful. The peanuts added an unexpected crunch which I really like and appreciate (I like textured food). The serving is for two. Not really unless the both of you are on a diet ;p Looked at the cake menu and I had emu eyes on a Frangipane cake/tart. Gonna order it for next week. I thought they were better before about a year ago. I love the grilled vegetable croissant and we love all the Savory Scones and they have a raspberry scone and a blueberry scone and a chocolate pecan scone. That are just wonderful they're just not sweet. They're just lovely texture and the flavors are just awesome with my coffee. Wish I had one right now. The young lady behind the counter was very accommodating, very patient, and didn't mind answering the questions we had regarding several of the treats. By the time we were done, we had spent $70, but well worth it. We ordered an assortment of treats. Additionally, I ordered a small quiche. We will definitely return and try other items.

Our lunch was beyond expectations! The She Crab and Tomato bisques were savory, filling, and hearty enough to eat as a standalone. Paired with the sandwiches, they satisfied our tummy with enough leftover for dinner too. The Fried Green Tomato sandwich was a perfect blend of savory and sweet with the tomato jam kissing the Rosemary Focaccia and the Boursin cheese added a nice bite. The Grilled Cheese sandwich brought us back to our childhood but better, with an adult flavor profile for refined palates. Shhh don't tell Mom. The level of care, expertise, and love that goes into each of these dishes, shines through each and every bite. We had the pleasure of enjoying Chef Leon's food at a local charity event. We were fortunate to snag a very coveted lunch spot. The restaurant is going through some changes and is currently not serving lunch BUT Chef Leon is offering soup orders on a regular basis. My goodness! I can just put all of my pots and pans away and order directly from him. I look forward to what Chef Leon has planned for us next.
