Tally weekend starts off with sweets!! We tried almost one of everything for a room full of kids. Flavors were excellent and donuts delicious. We ate huge apple fritter fans and these were light and fluffy with lots of apple filling. Sugar overload but oh so good.
My wife introduced me to this place a while a go and I've been coming to this place ever since. This is the dessert place in town and it isn't that close. They are pricey for their desserts but they are so good. Today we stopped in and got a few different types of tarts. We had two key lime tarts, one blueberry tart, and one raspberry tart. All 4 were delicious. My favorite were the key lime tarts. They were tangy and sweet at the same time which was a really nice mix.
Uhm why go anywhere else ever. Let me just tell you I came at 9pm to get donuts and these donuts are the FRESHEST DONUTS IVE EVER HAD. Not kidding you it was as if they were just made. Blueberry pancake...cinnaring...fruit pebbles... guava cheesecake. I'm not even stoned and these are blowing my mind!

2009 was the year. I was in Tallahassee for a Model UN competition. One morning we stopped at Donut Kingdom, and thus, my love affair with them began. I recall having a strawberry-frosted donut and thinking it was the best donut I had ever eaten. So sinfully scrumptious... I dreamt of it repeatedly. Enter 2019 and I go visit a friend in town. Clearly I needed to return to see if the donuts there lived up to those in my memories. Have to say nope, nope, nope. Not even close! Then again, we went at night after dinner. Last time I went in the morning, when I believe they were first made. Still, the donut was delicious. It just didn't live up to the memory. Oh well.
The kingdom of donut's is a little difficult to find. As with any good sugar kingdom you must hide a little bit from the Vermicious Knid's. The Kingdom is right off the main road in a little building hiding behind a larger building. Your GPS will tell you to make a right turn way before the location. The inside seems a little broken down maybe they're going through some sort of remodel. Some of the best choices we're already sold out by the time I got here in the evening. There's some great choices, I had to leave with French toast, cinnamon bun, Twix, Snickers, Fruity Pebbles and a glazed. The downside here is that there was an upcharge 4 Fruity Pebbles. How are you going to tell me a Fruity Pebbles cereal cost more than Twix candy? As a matter of fact I know a box a cereal for $3.50 is any of you a lot more mileage then a bag of mini Twix for $3.50. The bathroom was terrible. I was disappointed with the Twix and Snickers. The Twix donut was essentially coffee flavored caramel dip on top of a donut ring with a little chocolate drizzle. It was not a very good representation of Twix candy. The French toast donut was really good I wish I got two of them. Cinnabon donut add cream cheese frosting it was also very delicious of the six pack I got those two are definitely my favorite. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely probably stop here. With my love of donuts and arcade games 2 business types always be part of my destination.
The sign advertises "donuts, bagels, coffee & more". We were hoping to get a breakfast bagel and donuts to go. They only had 2 bagel flavors which were not freshly baked and the topping options were butter and plain cream cheese pre packaged. The donut variety was far better than the bagels but some of the flavors were not good. Specifically the French Toast donut. No bueno. The jelly donut also wasn't good. The other flavors were ok. Not too dense but definitely very sweet.
Well! We are back on the road. My daughter had a softball camp and my son and I have a five minute limit of watching. So, it's 8:05am and he and lock eyes and say "Donuts!". My niece graduated from FSU a few years back, so we called her to get the local scoop and she said before I could finish "DONUT KINGDOM! Go!" So we arrived a few minutes later and parked in the Whatabuger parking lot (gps took us there), but it is right next door. When you walk in, it is a place filled with bright colors, delicious scents and big smiles! Yes, even at 8 something in the morning, we were greeted with a big smile and great conversation. Her name is Annalise and she was very patient with us as noobies. She also is a talented singer who is doing great things at FSU. But back to the donuts, we got a variety of donuts (14 total). We obviously couldn't eat all of them but we did try the Red Velvet (no cream cheese), Apple Fritter, Fruity Pebbles, French Toast, Glazed and Key Lime Pie. Now we didn't eat all of each donut we have slivers of each of them but man, they all were delicious and fresh. I asked him what his favorite one was and he said "Hands down, The Red Velvet! But I haven't tried the others...should I try another one!" I told him we need to try them at lunch and if he changes his mind we will edit this! For me the apple fritter is on point but I am an old person. Also, the apple fritter doesn't come as a donut but for me it was the best. Overall, the donuts are great, coffee is hot and the people were better than both. Again, if you are in Tallahassee and looking for a place where there is value in the food and is filled with people who are nice and make you feel special, this is the place for you! It will be a staple for sure! It is only donuts, coffees, ice cream and cookies. If you need an egg sandwich, chick fila is across the street! Sweet treats only in here! See you soon!
These are some of the freshest and most delicious donuts I've ever had. The churro, cannoli, and cruller were my favorites, though now that I've read about the Nutella donut holes in other reviews, I'll have to make a return trip to try them. Great customer service. The wonderful woman who served my donuts even threw in a donut hole for my pup. Also, the pricing is unbelievably low. Similar places in other cities charge exorbitant prices for comparable gourmet donuts!
Low parking spots, small store with Mo Cookies inside too. Tasty unique option donuts. 6 for $10, special extra .29 each. I'd come back to try different flavors yum!
Love Donut Kingdom! They have the best in town IMO. They are closing at 9 p.m. right now. I was able to get in right before closing time and the young ladies who were working were still very kind, personable and patient as I made my choices. My favorite was the marble frosting, I'm not sure if it was new but I hadn't seen that as an option there before.

Loved this spot. Like hands down it's the only place I'm getting donuts from now on. We got a half dozen to and they were all delicious! My favorite was the Twix one! The dough was fluffy and they had great combinations of toppings. The parking is rough because it's tiny and on Tennessee street by campus but definitely worth it in my opinion. The employees were quick and friendly and the inside has tons of space to hang out in. read more
This place is delicious! Some of the best cookies and donuts I've ever had. I really enjoyed our treats and def recommend others to try it. My husband enjoyed his berry cheesecake cookie. I really enjoyed my maple donut and the kids really loved their chocolate donuts. Service was good, as the young lady gave great suggestions. Inside was quiet and chill with an ice cream parlor inside too. read more
I love this doughnut place - there is nowhere better in Tallahassee! There is a wide range of flavors to choose from, and every single one is worth eating. I love the maple bacon and the fruity pebbles. They have other items to choose from as well, and the service is always top notch. The place is small but quiet, so you can sit and eat if you'd like. The parking lot for this one is tiny but I think it's ok bc we usually get them and go home. I wish we had doughnut kingdom all over Florida! read more

Best donuts in Tally hands down. I'm on a journey to try everyone, I'm about halfway though and haven't had a bad one yet. The BEST so far are the cinnamon roll and cannoli donuts. They have changed my life! Also, just the most amazing customer service. The employees are the nicest, most welcoming :) read more
The best donuts in Tallahassee! I always thought this place looked sketchy on the outside and the location isn't that great. But then I went inside......and saw all the donuts. They have SO many options to choose from. All the donuts are made fresh daily and in house. S'mores, snickers, red velvet, fruity pebbles and Oreos are just a couple! They always have a new flavor whenever I walk inside. Skip the donuts from Dunkin.... and head over to Donut Kingdom if you want some real tasty donuts! read more

This may be the best doughnut shop in Tallahassee except for their basic glazed doughnut which had a taste I didn't like. I'll stick with Krispy Kreme when I want just warm glazed doughnuts. For everything else, this is the place to go for delicious doughnuts at a reasonable price. I got a dozen assorted and my wife and I enjoyed them all (except for the glazed). Unlike So Dough, which thinks each of their doughnuts is a masterpiece and prices them accordingly, these local folks make great tasting and creative doughnuts at a reasonable price. I will be coming back for more! read more

Amazing gormet-style donuts! I was craving unique and tasty donuts, and decided to give this place a try...and I was very pleased. The donuts were fresh, flakey and delicious. The fruity pebbles ones were my favorite (it would be so cool though if they came in a white frosted topping!) and the bacon maple was so good. My little ones even loved this place, and were so excited to go. I've been craving these donuts since my trip here, and I cant wait to go back. If you're looking for a unique and tasty experience, this place is exactly where you should go. Delicious! read more

It's sort of a tradition to find a local donut place at every new city my boyfriend and I go to. So after searching on yelp and asking around, we found this place! Atmosphere: a little tight on space inside, the register is right when you walk in and it's hard to form a line without getting in people's way. They do offer seating inside and have one table outside. I would say this is a grab and go type of place. Food: we got 1/2 a dozen and an iced coffee with hazelnut. The donuts were 2 strawberry glazed with sprinkles, 1 old fashioned cinnamon, 1 double chocolate, 1 red velvet, and 1 Boston cream. The winner was the old fashioned cinnamon. It was so simple, tasty, and light. The donuts taste fresh and has this slight sweet bready taste that I really like. The strawberry glazed ones did look as if they glazed them while they were still hot but overall pretty good. The red velvet was too dense in my opinion. Overall, would stop by again! read more
I love this local donut shop. It reminds me of back home of a place called Donut King. Today the kids got a strawberry donut, a twist, and I added red velvet, pumpkin, and worker's pick to bring to a 1/2 dozen. I haven't had sweets in a while but I gave in toady when I saw the new "Cookie Butter" donut. OMG, it was so good I forgot to take the picture. Stop by and given them a try. Reasonable price, great taste, and they have coffee. read more
For $0.99 I can F*CK up my diet and have a Red Velvet & Cream Cheese Donut. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I am not a donut lover. In fact, I normally laugh at the people that do U-turns when the lights pop up at Krispy Kreme. But if this place had a light = traffic would be even more crazy on Tennessee St. Boss keeps bringing these in to work. I've been avoiding the whole kitchen area as I tackle on with a granola bar and some tea to stay on my diet. Today I finally spot the little venue and decided to come in. I was pleasantly surprised at this little hidden treasure. And it's pretty well hidden. Right besides Subway and Tropical Smoothie so your purchase feels a little heavy with guilt. So as I look at my little red New Years Eve dress handing in the closet and my red velvet donut still in it's bag...That's just motivation to run an extra mile tomorrow morning because I'm definitely eating that! read more
Donut? Doughnut? Does it really matter, guys? Sweet dreams are made of these (donuts). When I heard National Donut Day was upon us, I knew I had to visit one of favorite spots from my dorm room days. These aren't your cookie cutter donuts, folks. These are delicacies to get excited about. A long line was expected when I arrived, but the empowering smell of freshly made donuts brought a giant smile to my face. I indulged in a new treat (blueberry pancake) and one of my go-to's (caramel apple). Both were served with a rich glaze atop and a sweet, gooey center. The donuts are light as air. Ultimately, this is the perfect bite. I prefer Donut Kingdom to any chain, even the one with that infamous hot sign. And now they serve local coffee heroes, Lucky Goat Coffee. Talk about a colossal collaboration! Two fresh donuts and a 16 oz. iced coffee ran me a hair over $4. To me, that's money well spent. I'm nuts for these donuts. Treat yo'self. read more

Today I thought work was going to be the "same thing, different day" but to my surprise I arrived to two boxes of donuts for my boss's birthday. I could tell these were fresh baked donuts. I tried the Blueberry Pancake, the Red Velvet and a Boston Crème. I snuck a Homer Simpson (like from the Simpsons pink icing with sprinkles) in my purse I hope no one was looking. Fair warning these donuts are extremely sweet. I have no clue how much they cost and I don't care I'll be making a visit in store soon. read more

Stopped by midweek for a half dozen donuts. Selected the fruity pebbles, French toast (favorite!!), Oreo, & more. I don't remember exactly which flavors but they were all very pleasant. Great donuts read more

Best donuts in Tallahassee hands down! The service is quick and friendly and they have a variety of flavors to choose from. Their double glazed are my favorite and they have more decadent flavors like the Snickers donut. Their donuts go perfectly with coffee. Located conveniently on Tennessee Street for any FSU students. You have to approach from the west to get to the parking lot. read more

Was in town for my sons soccer tournament and this place did not disappoint! We were greeted by maybe a mother-daughter!?! Not sure but either way, they were the sweetest. Donuts for breakfast! What else can I ask for! Soo much variety. read more
