    Empanadas

Came in and was greeted by the store owner, very warm, helpful, and sweet. The empanadas were delicious, I can't even tell you which one was my favorite because they're all good. I'm from south Florida so I know a good empanada and this place does not disappoint. The place was nice and clean, very homey. So happy to have found this spot, WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK

Beef and cheese empanada, cheese arepa, fried yuca, salad, rice, beans, and sweet plantains.

I came here after an OB-GYN appointment and just let me say this restaurant made a pregnant woman very happy! The food and service were absolutely incredible. Everything was prepared fresh and with high quality ingredients. The entire staff was friendly and took the time to explain the menu and offer suggestions. Highly recommend!

My favorite stop in Valdosta! Great family and the best empanadas you'll eat anywhere.

Stewed pork chop and white rice. Cheese arepas. Beef and cheese empanadas.

Regret not trying this place sooner. My first time having empanadas. The beef and cheese is so good I have not tried the others versions yet. I am a meat cheese and bread eater and I could eat empanadas from here every day without getting tired of them.. The medium salsa has just the right amount of kick for people who don't like a lot of heat. The hot looks very similar but brings the heat for people who like a little burn. I have also eaten the cheese arepas. Very tasty cheesy cornbread This looks like the best option for my taste. The chuletas guisadas was tender and flavorful. The white rice and juice from the stewed pork chops tastes like rice and tomatoes with latin flavor. It was so good I attempted to make them at home for the family. No where near as good but pleased everyone. Their Cuban sandwich is easily one of the best I have ever had. An ice cold Ironbeer is the icing on the cake. My only complaint is there is only one location. Something this good deserves more.

Stewed chicken breast, tostones and some yellow plantains.

OMG this is truly a hidden gem! The owner was so kind he explained what everything was on the menu and actually took the time to remember our names in the 20 minutes we were there. The food was delish and tasted like real homemade! It is a family owned business! We ordered Thursday's special "stewed chicken and rice with tostones or yellow plantains. Also tried the Colombian empanada and the regular beef, beef and cheese. The cheese is so good! I will make sure we visit again when we're back this way!

Great service and great food at a good price. The whole family from 3 to 63. We will make this a regular stop when visiting Valdosta.

Christian showed us to the patio and provided great service throughout the meal. get the Chicha Morada. It was excellent lightly refreshing non alcoholic beverage that will remind you of a light wassail perfect for warmer weather. We started off with the calamari. My son got the Lomo Saltado. My wife ordered a pasta dish (I forgot to get the name of). I ordered Pescado A Lo Macho. All dishes were fantastic. Flavors were excellent. I added there house sauce to mine, because I like it spicy. I thought this dish was amazing. My wife's taste thought the pasta was a little too rich with cream, but I thought it was perfect. All of us loved the flavors of the Lomo Saltado. We finished the meal with the best Tres Leches I have ever had. It was a great atmosphere. Thank you Chef Martin for sharing your home with us. An impromptu trip to Peru is absolutely within reach, and shockingly affordable!…read more We had a last minute opportunity to go out for dinner and decided to make a reservation for Cafe de Martin because they had availability for our semi "early bird" time slot. We chose to dine on their colorful outdoor terrace, and when I tell you that we were transported to another country.... I mean, it literally took us out of Tally and dropped us in a tropical paradise. As the sun went down, the lights began to glow. The ambiance was surreal. I repeatedly told my husband I felt thousands of miles away from home. Was it the cafe lights or the Sangria? I can't be sure. The live music began and it was a whole vibe. Heads turned, ears perked up, and an entire terrace just exhaled. The sultry atmosphere was only overshadowed by the savory food. Dear Lord we ate far too much. What is that saying? Ask forgiveness not permission. Sounds about right. We started with cocktails and Fried Yucca. The Jamaican Margarita was a perfect blend with a sweet sugared rim. The Sangria was a full party in the glass with fresh fruit. The Yucca portion was hefty, but we ate it ALL. In hindsight, we should have saved more room for our actual meal. We ordered Lomo Saltado Beef that was so tender and rich, and it was accompanied by another hefty portion of indulgent carbs. See? That's where moderation in our starter would have been wise. Ahh lessons learned. If we had saved half of the Yucca for leftovers it would have reheated in an air fryer beautifully. We also ordered the Escabeche which was a beautifully fried , snapper filet served with sweet potato and rice. The sauce was simple and elegant with that classic tart vinegar bite. We looked at the dessert menu. I repeat, looked. We simply had no more room. We'll be back soon and promise to make it to the dessert menu and coffee.

A restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived. We went inside, but let the server know we were gonna sit outside. Several minutes passed and menus were delivered. It took several more minutes for the server to return and take our order. I have to say the food is worth the price of admission! We ordered enough options so that we could take home leftovers for the next day's lunch. We ordered the chorizo tacos, served, and softshell flour tortillas. They must've been baked slightly because they had a little bit of structure to them. There is ample chorizo in each taco. Delicious! We also ordered an arepa, empanadas, tostones, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, plated individually, and tasted wonderful. My question the reason we don't visit this restaurant more often. We were glad to visit and we plan to return!

(Deslice había abajo para español) Unfortunately, this…read morerestaurant was a big disappointment. The food is extremely overpriced for both the quality and the portion sizes. The tostones were not fresh and were obviously previously frozen. The rice was overcooked, and the chicharrones were overcooked to the point of being almost burned, with a rancid flavor that has nothing to do with authentic Colombian chicharrón. Additionally, the chicharrón pieces were neither large nor wide, as traditional Colombian chicharrón should be. The chorizo in the bandeja paisa tasted like a strange mix between Colombian and Mexican chorizo, which simply does not belong in a traditional bandeja paisa. Honestly, it felt more like a "bandeja paisa junior." The egg was fried without asking for cooking preference, which was disappointing. The grilled chicken with onions was not grilled at all--it was a very thin chicken breast cooked on a flat top with excessive oil. The beans had excellent flavor, but they were served cold, which is unacceptable. The empanadas were delicious, but again, way overpriced. Overall, the prices are unjustifiably high for what you get. I do not recommend this place, and I definitely will not be returning.
