5 stars for some incredible Venezuelan food! I'm still shook by everything we had. I always have this feeling that food trucks are small and overpriced but not DejaVu! Pro Tip: order ahead if you're in a hurry. We got most of our items quickly but the arepa took longer to make. I'm not complaining but just know if you're in a rush it may take a minute but it's Def worth it! The arepa with pork was super filling, enough to share for $12. Everything was so fresh and tasty, oh so crispy and those signature sauces, just wow! I was also floored by the mandoca ($4 for 1) and the tequenos ($7 for 3). I've never tried mandoca before and it was such a unique flavor and so special. And fried cheese with dough, ugh oh so good and happy dance! If you haven't been I HIGHLY recommend and the owner is super friendly! The food was so filling we didn't eat our empanadas but we are so excited to eat them later. :) read more

Noticed this food truck when had to make a stop at a nearby business. Not sure how long the food truck has been in this spot. There is a nice eating area in front of the truck, with fans and mist to help with the hot weather! :o) The menu is located in an area and is large enough for several customers to view at one time without getting in anyone's personal space. I ordered a chicken empanada and a grilled chicken arepa; my husband ordered mandocas and a patacone (which is a plantain sandwich). Notably, I love plantains, but not on a sandwich. In any case, the food was enjoyable; authentic dish items; great customer service. read more

As food trucks go this one is one of the best. It's tucked in between Mattress Firm & Walgreens so you can park at either location. We met friends there & ordered half of the menu. They were all great & very generous portions. Even though everything is deep fried, it was not greasy & had a nice crispiness to it. Oh my! I have not had an arepa since living in Tampa. This place is the real deal located between mattress firm and Walgreens. The staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy what they do as it showed through their service and food. I ordered the chicken arepa which was made to order. After a little wait, the thing dreams are made of was sitting in front of me. The taste was on point and authentic Venezuelan. The chicken tasted great with the sauce and cheese on the perfectly cooked corn dough. The price was right for what I ordered. I will definitely be back to enjoy this goodness again shortly. read more

Wanted a quick snack and noticed this food truck near me so I decided to give it a shot and it was good! I ordered the empanadas: shredded beef and cheese They were piping hot and fresh when I got them and a good decent size for $3 an empanada. I did enjoy how much beef was in it but I do wish it had a little more flavor as it was a bit dryer. The cheese was also good but wish the inside was a bit more melted. The sauce it came with was delicious and complemented the flavors very well. Interesting outdoor sitting area, with a couple benches and a nice mural on the corner. Could be a good night scene place to come with some friends and order. read more

I love giving shout-outs to smaller places. This food truck is fabulous and I encourage everyone to show them some love! Every time I eat here it's always such a pleasurable experience. Today we enjoyed their delicious food while sitting outside on a beautiful Tallahassee day. We split a mandoca which is a sweet fried cornmeal ring. Oh my goodness, it was delicious. Then we moved onto patacons. I had the pork version and my sister had the shredded beef. It's a sandwich between slices of thin, fried, sweet or green plantains with all sorts of fixins in between. Wow. The first time I ordered this I had no idea what I was ordering. I hit the jackpot. I have to order this every time I come. And the portion? Had to take half my patacon home to enjoy later. The folks (owners?) are such nice people. Always smiling and willing to answer all my menu questions, This little food truck is a real treasure. read more

I stopped in this food truck about 2pm on a Thursday. I ordered the empanadas- beef and chicken and a few pastelitos and a wonderfully refreshing pineapple drink. Everything survived the 20 minute ride home without getting mushy. The beef empanada and shedded beef that was improved by the deja sauce offered. The chicken had a very good flavor. Nothing was spicy. Now, for my money, I will order the beef pastelitios every time. Filled with a flavorful ground beef in a crispy dough, what is not to love. I love that they are local and offering different food choices. I'll stop in again since I'm frequently in that area. read more

The beef empanadas are delish! The corn shell is the right thickness and the shredded beef is so flavorful. Everyone in my family gave them two thumbs up. We also enjoyed the passion fruit juice.
