At first he wanted me to pay half upfront before providing me with a contract or invoice. He also insisted that I pay the full amount before he completes the job. He did such a sloppy and terrible job. Despite sharing the OWNER'S MANUAL - ANCHORING LAYOUT with him, the anchors were incorrectly measured and installed. He measured 14 by 10 (which were the measurements for the gazebo, not the posts). While Alex was working, my brother stopped by and noticed that he didn't install the anchors while the cement was wet so I tried calling him before he left so he can fix the issue. He ignored all of my calls. I texted him to call me. He called me and shouted at the top of his lungs, " STOP CALLING ME, STOP CALLING ME! I'LL CALL YOU LATER" and hung up in my face. His behavior changed completely. I was shocked. He ended up coming back to install some screws after the cement cured. They were supposed to be 42 inches deep to support the heavy gazebo but instead they were 7 inches in. Even with him measuring 14 by 10, they weren't even at ALL. One side was off by 11 inches. Sad to say, it all went to waste because the measurements were all off and we had to find another alternative after I already paid him $1100. :(

It was now leaning on my neighbor's garage. Ignacio came with the appropriate equipment to do the job safely and efficiently. While they were there, they identified another large tree next to my house that had termites and was unsafe. They were able to remove that tree as well and I feel safe going into storm season. Not only was their price very reasonable (it came in between two other quotes), Mike also took his time to explain what to look for in a paver patio and what design elements would fit our vision. And throughout the process, Mike continued to communicate with us changes that needed to be made based on the elevation of our yard. He always gave us choices on the changes, and we often consulted him on the better choice. Because we were working from home, we were able to observe Mike and his crew working on the patio.
