Left my home without completing tree removal. Had to request coming back to finish the job. Left large amount wood chips on lawn. Vehicles & equipment spilled oil on my asphalt driveway requiring resurfacing. Owner denies any responsibility for any damage or expense occurred. Would not recommend this service. They did an excellent job. Very large tree growing right next to the house and had a large branch break at the trunk just from the weight of the limb. More were looking dangerous and the whole tree needed to come down. They got to us within a week, took the whole tree down. No damage to the house, nor my hosta bed below the tree. No damage to the smaller redbuds near the tree. We were really impressed. Price was more than fair considering the excellent job they did. They cleaned up after, no debris. Asked us if we wanted some firewood and stacked it for us. These guys are great and will be the only company we'll call should we need another tree taken down. Thanks guys, great job!!! read more

Do not hire Brent Nugent of Nugent's Pro Tree Care for your tree trimming needs. Brent Nugent quoted me a price of $1,000 total for tree trimming on my property. He and his crew came for a few hours on two different days. On the second day I gave Nugent a check for payment of his services prior to the completion of the job. My mistake, but the trimming was near completion. He was sitting in his truck as I approached him when he told me that the crew was done because he was losing money on the job. I was astonished because there were several trees included in his original quote that were not trimmed. As I was talking to him while he was sitting in his truck, he was smoking something and visibly shaking all over. I recognize the signs of a drug addict. His crew did a poor job of raking up debris, did not cut wood into fireplace burning pieces as requested and left me with an absolute huge pile of limbs and branches to get rid of. I am a senior citizen, widow and on a fixed income. This was a lot of money for me to pay for a job that was not completed. Brent Nugent is all about money, he is unprofessional and a scammer. These guys are great. Immediate call back follow up from start to finish. We had a tornado go through this area and a friends' yard was a total mess. Nugent's came out immediately, quoted immediately and did all the work to final raking and cleaning up the debris within a couple of days. They were so totally helpful at a very crazy time. While working at the first place we were able to add on another job of completely removing a tree with at least a 20" diameter (big big tree) that had been split in half. My brother and I were entertained the whole morning watching that process. Good working crew. So from Brent and Mel to the 4 guys on the crew, thank you very much for your attention to detail. I gotta say though, chippers and chain saws always scare the s**t out of me but, they sure do the job when you know how to use 'em. read more

Whatever you do, do not hire this company! They absolutely destroyed my property and took down a magnolia tree that they should not have taken down. They quoted me $800 for the removal of a diseased tree in front, two trees, one on each side of the house, a small self planted tree in back, two other trees in the back, and clear out self planting trees from a healthy tree by our back patio. Mind you, this quote came 8 hours after they were supposed to be at my house. They showed without an appointment three days later to do the work. After 45 minutes, they said they were done and wanted $1000 because they said they had to remove more roots than expected in the back. When my wife went outside, she noticed they didn't cut either tree on the side of the house and cut down our prized magnolia tree which was not supposed to be touched and had a bird's nest in it. From what I can tell, they only used a chainsaw to cut these trees. No stumps were removed, even in the back where they said they had. One tree on the side, which he was supposed to remove, he said he "trimmed." To say what he did was a hack job would be an understatement. It looked like he simply broke branches and the tree (which was supposed to be removed), was not shaped at all. He said he would come back at 5:00 to see what he was supposed to have done and no showed. At 6:00, I called Home Advisor and registered a complaint because he did more damage to my property than work. Worse, when I was on the phone with Home Advisor and I advised him that he would not be receiving payment, he told me on a recorded line with Home Advisor that he would be dumping all of the trees back in my front yard. I had to advise him that I would call the city if he even considered doing that. Now I need to hire another company to fix his shoddy work and potentially sue this company for the loss of the magnolia. read more

Nugent's Pro Tree Care was able to remove a large maple tree in my backyard that was overhanging solar panels. They brought in a crane and crew and in under 4 hours sectioned and lifted the limbs and trunk right over the garage and house, shredded the smaller stuff, loaded the larger pieces, cleaned up thoroughly (including the solar panels), and hauled everything away. Their price was competitive and they were able to get to the job sooner than their competition. I have no problem in recommending them. read more
