I went to Schultzy's and it was awesome. I had the clam chowder which was great. I also had the clam cakes and a stuffie. Both were awesome and cooked perfect. My friend had their burger and said it was delicious. They also have an awesome ice cream selection as well. Parking is great plenty across the street on the wall. They have seating in the sun and also a nice shaded section to sit as well. We sat under the awning side and it was perfect. They have a corn hole set to play at the location as well. The beach is across the street so best view to see the ocean while you eat. We went for a lovely stroll after on the beach which was great after a delicious lunch. read more

Schultzy's is our go to food shack- the chicken bacon ranch sandwich is my fave. It has two hand-breaded fried pieces of chicken breast, delicious thick sliced bacon, and homemade ranch dressing. The grilled potato roll is soft, slightly sweet, and the perfect style for the chicken. The burgers are made with fresh ground beef, hand pattied, and smashed for perfect cooking doneness. People in New England lose their minds for stuff like this. It's mostly all the same, with few exceptions. It's teenagers on summer break frying clams and dipping ice cream cones. You go for nostalgia, not a culinary adventure. There's only outdoor seating, so mind the weather. Since you're outside expect approximately four million loud motorcycles to pass by. The food is exactly what you expect: things that can be fried, or burgers. There's also ice cream. The charm of this kind of stuff is not lost on me, but it's all fairly average. Placed an order to go for dinner while staying locally for two nights. Lobster rolls were ok, could have used more lobster for the price, and the rolls were not toasted all the way so were thick and gummy. Chowder was excellent. Clam cakes ok but out of the 5 that were consumed not one piece of clam in any of them. Our tab for takeout was $157 and when I asked for lemons for the seafood, the manager came over and made the order taker add an additional $1 for the lemon. Really?! Loved everything about Schultzy's! First of all, whoever was working today (4/24) at 10am, deserves a huge raise. She was so friendly and welcoming. Onto the food. We had the lobster roll special - a lobster roll, slaw and fries for $19.99 and it did not disappoint! Huge chunks of fresh lobster, served cold with a tiny bit of mayo. SO DELICIOUS. The slaw was amazing, a bit sweet, which is how I like it, and a giant bag of fries. Seriously might be the best deal on the island, next to Easton's Snack Bar. Also had their chicken bacon sandwich - 10/10 would definitely have this again. Their ice cream scoops are more than generous, the peach one in particular is so fresh tasting. They also make milkshakes with any of their ice cream flavors, which is amazing. Employees wear masks, there's plenty of spaced out outdoor seating, and they've got a beautiful view. Many visits over the summer. Always reliable burgers - especially the Shack Shake burger. Tried the clam strip platter which was good but be prepared for excessive fried food - it comes on a mountain of fries. My only quibbles are the pricing on the sweet potato fries ($5) for a small serving and the malted shakes at $6.25 are a bit high. Damages for 2 with tip was $50+. In the mood for clam cakes and chowder, we decided to give Schultzy's a try. Having gone to a neighboring clam shack, with much disappointment, Schultzy's was delicious and refreshing. The chowder and clam cakes both were loaded with clams and delicious. The clam cakes were seasoned, and somewhat reminded me of hush puppies, which for me was a very good thing! We were in the mood for lobster rolls so we went to Shultzy's where you get a really good lobster roll without breaking the bank (relatively speaking). But we got there late and they only had one left! While deciding what to do someone behind us suggested the chicken sandwich. So we ordered that. We also managed to order a clam chowder by mistake. To our surprise the chicken sandwich and the chowder were fantastic! We wound up being really glad for them being out of what we wanted and us making a mistake! I have driven by here hundreds of times and decided to finally stop and check them out for lunch! Went with the traditional cup of Chowder and Clam Cakes. The Chowder was really good, loaded with potatoes and quahog with a descent flavor. I didn't like the Clam Cakes at all, they were over seasoned, and you couldn't taste the quahog at all, and they had a good amount of meat in them and were cooked perfectly. Lobster roll was absolutely delicious. Had a cold one and it was packed with lobster and very little Mayo which was perfect. Clam cakes were cooked perfectly with lots of clams and the batter was very flavorful. Chowder is thin which is the way I like it, if you prefer thick chowder it may not met your expectations. My experience was good here. I had a stuffie . I enjoyed very much along with s lemonade they called there own. It was a little to sweet for me but overall The kids loved it. I like that there's a nice area to sit out with clean picnic tables. It's across from a small town beach. They have the usual burgers ,shakes, fries and ice cream . There is a parking area which makes it easy to get in and out. I'd go back. They had portable bathrooms which I wouldn't use but that's just me. On a day out in Portsmouth our travels led us to this quaint roadside stand. My daughter had the clam chowder was a little heavy on potatos but excellent flavor with a Mississippi mud milkshake. My wife had the clams strips and fries Came with cole slaw. She raced about the fries like the clams loved the cole slaw. Myself I am always more exotic so quahog stuffies and onion rings. Onion rings were amazing the stuffies I had 2 one was excellent the other not heated all the way through. Leading me to believe ready to go in a fridge. The clam cakes are hot, mildly spiced and come with a mayo dip. While other places make their stuffed cohogs so spicy, an iced drink is necessary. Not here. Schultzies gives mild heat. For dessert, they don't skimp on the ice cream and while their flavors don't match Gray's down in tiverton, they are generous with the servings. Is there room for improvement? I'd only fix the Cole slaw with a bit more vinegar. In the mood for fried sea food? The batter is light and crunchy, the fries not saturated in oil. Ever since I moved on the island Shultzy's has been my biggest weakness. Whenever I want something that might not be the best for you but just taste absolutely delicious, I head to Shultzys. Their double shack burger with a side of fries just hits the spot every single time. It's like the perfect indulgent burger. The onion rings are delicious as well. The ice cream is great, a lot of options to choose from. The food is really good, but the view is even better. It's located right across the street from a beach. The views are incredible if you wait to go right when the sun is about to set. The only problem is this place is not open year round. They have seasonal dates and times and I'm pretty sure they are closing next week which is a bummer. When they open back up next year I'll be waiting in line on opening day for sure. read more

Had to update my review from 4 stars to 1. The prices have just gotten so expensive, and the food has gone downhill. The only thing going for them is the waterfront view. Otherwise, $3.50 for a side of regular fries and $8.95 for a shack burger??? I could order a better burger at Wendy's with a side of chili cheese fries for less than the shack burger alone.
