It was a simple swap nothing from the suspension needed to be removed, so I am perplexed about the inflated labor cost. I would strongly advise anyone with a classic vehicle to avoid this shop at all "cost" I received a call from Steve explaing the high labor cost to do the oil-pan swap and in the beginning he did inform me that his labor cost books did not go back that far for a 53 year old vehicle so in all fairness I googled the process of replacing said oil-pan and found out that the motor did need to be raised to allow room to make the swap. Steve did explain this to me but when I said that was his opinion boy did his demeanor change and as others have commented he did get rude. so I am amending my review to be fair to the shop; but I still would not recomend this shop for classic car repair. It is sad that it is very difficult to find a reputable repair shop in Springfield for classic cars.

We did get what we needed but determined there were additional issues . We located a hotel and started calling shops. Many were totally booked out for several days. Fortunately, we received a different response from Johnson and Johnson. They agreed to check our vehicle if we could get it to them. Another AAA tow achieved that and they felt confident they could fix it. We spent the rest of the morning there. All staff were friendly and polite. They offered donuts, water, pop, and coffee. The waiting area had comfortable chairs and was very clean. Restrooms were also clean. The staff kept us abreast of what they found and that they would be able to get parts and repair today. They were fair and transparent on pricing and accomplished getting us back on the road within hours instead of days. We were very happy to support a small business with capable and friendly staff.

It had done a cross country road trip with a kid vomiting the back seat and pets in the back. I had also managed to get hay all over the upholstery and it would stick to the carpet. There was even a ceramic? coating on the outside that he told me to picture I don't wash for 3 days so that it can harden. That will be good for one year of protection. Finding the location is enough it weird on GPS. Is a building that is in between Reynolds street and Madison street. You can turn onto it from both sides but the front of the building is on Reynolds street. He has two doors/garages so use the door to the far left/corner of the building. Just call and leave and message. My husband took his car for detailing here a year ago and recommended it for me. I'm glad I listened to my husband. ;) It was $225 for my minivan.
