Well, this is one of the parking lots at the core of Pasadena. It's surrounded by all the popular food/drinks shops along with plenty of shopping stores like Apple Store, Sephora, MINISO, etc. It used to be free but now it's $1 for the first 2 hours. Super cheap regardless and very much recommended to park here when you visit Pasadena. Each hour after the 2 hr threshold is +$1 and can go up to max of $12 daily. Inside the large parking structure has couple basement levels along with upper levels. There's plenty of parking spots to go around and each spot is not too tight which is great. Easily manageable to drive around to find a spot as well as a car cleaning service in the basement level. Only condition to speed up the process is to pay at one of their machines before you go to your car. The exit gate can scan your license plate and the gate lifts itself, very streamline. read more

Schoolhouse parking structure is my go-to when I am in Old Town Pasadena. It's located on Greene Street. It is close to Chef Tony's Dim Sum, Hello Gelato, YiFang, All India, 85 Bakery, and so many more dining and shopping. It does have a few spaces for free 15 mins parking... sometimes I use this option when I'm picking up a to-go order from All India. Otherwise, if I need to park longer, I'll pay $1 for the first 2 hours. For any additional hour, it's $2 each. Maximum daily or lost ticket, it's $12 total. You can't beat these prices compared to other parking facilities at other cities. Of course, it all depends on where you're at. I think most of the Pasadena parking facilities are set at these prices. Yay! They used to offer first 90 mins parking free, but that is no longer available. Oh well... we gotta go with the times. Grateful for the low parking cost especially when there are so much to see, do, and eat in Old Town Pasadena. I can spend the entire day here! Never been willing to try out other parking structures in Old Town Pasadena and no way dealing with metered Pasadena street parking, and this has always been our go-to parking structure. 3 stars!!! Most of Old Town Pasadena is a very short walk from this parking structure, and this structure offers the first 90 minutes free. It's definitely the closest parking structure to one of my favorite places in Old Town Pasadena, Wanderlust Creamery. Why just 3 stars? This parking structure can get pretty busy and it can take forever to exit. Also, if you have a bigger car, about half of the parking spaces seem to be more suited for compact cars. Also a bit disappointed to see that automatic pay machines have been set up recently which meant probably job losses for parking attendants. read more

Such a super convenient parking garage with good parking rates! I parked here several times while visiting Old Town Pasadena and didn't have any issues at all. Some of the people park cray and there are a few blind turns when you exit, but other than that, it serves its' purpose. It's walking distance from several shops, restaurants, and the Pasadena Convention Center. The first 90 minutes is free and only $2 and hour after that with a $6 daily maximum. So you can essentially park there all day and only pay $6! There's a flat $5 fee if you park after 10pm (you must exit by 5am). Would love to have these kinds of rates in San Francisco! Wishful thinking, of course. I've read some previous reviews stating that people have gotten their cars broken into. Thankfully that didn't happen to me, but I did notice that this parking lot is very busy and there are always people walking around. Not a great place to go on super peak hours (late Friday and Saturday night) because it sometimes fills up but otherwise it's my go-to since it's centrally located and decently organized. One of the challenges that I have, and I imagine other folks that wear pocket-less clothes (I blame women clothing designers since I get excited whenever I see a dress with pockets), is losing my parking ticket. It first happened in the midst of the pandemic, and the woman working there wasn't helpful and made me pay the full $30 cost even though I was there for literally 10 minutes to do a color me mine pick-up. Fast-forwarding to last night, when, after eating dinner with my sister and carrying leftovers, my keys and phone, and balloons for my little's 6th birthday, I somehow misplaced my paid-for ticket and sadly went to their office to see if they could help me. A super cool dude went out of his way to look up my payment, create a new ticket for me, printed it, then made sure and helped me leave. The entire time he was navigating other issues that folks were having and did this all with such professionalism and patience, totally made my night. read more

i can no longer give this parking structure 5 stars due to the fact that there is no more free 90 minute parking. this schoolhouse structure and the delacey structure used to be the ones to go for your short-term old town parking needs, but the city of pasadena has rid of that and hiked parking rates in its other lots as well. it's $1 for the first 2 hours, which one may argue is not much, but it will add up for those of us who patronize nearby restaurants and shops regularly and a scam if you're just stopping to pick up food like 10 minutes. this is a huge hit to nearby businesses whose customers will be inconvenienced by additional parking costs to visit their establishments. read more

I have now had two negative encounters with two different women who work in this parking lot. I had a more stressful experience last Friday, when I tried politely telling the woman that I was charged twice the last time I was here even though I was told I would only be charged once. She proceeded to raise her voice at me, dismissed anything I tried to tell her and was incredibly rude. It left me feeling frustrated and angry because I tried telling her my previous problem and she didn't want to hear it. I understand this is just some parking garage at the end of the day, but the attendants there should be receptive. I have lived here all of my life (30 years), frequent Pasadena weekly and have never had such an awful experience with someone there. Feeling dismissed and disrespected by someone is one of my biggest peeves, and I don't appreciate how she had to raise her voice and argue with me. It's not okay. There are multiple entrances (one on Green St) which is a one way street and one on Raymond. It is 90 min free and has multiple levels up to a rooftop. There usually is parking available in the lower levels but if not the rooftop usually has parking. There are elevators. Sometimes leaving the parking lot gets backed up (2 stalls to leave at one exit) and 1 stall from another exit from the lower levels. There are also under Ground level spots. I found this parking garage in Old Town Pasadena to be just right. What did I like about this garage? 1. Great location, and it is walking distance to many cool restaurants & shops. 2. Affordable parking rates. First 90 minutes is free parking. $6 Daily Maximum. What did I not like? It is very slow to exit during peak time. Would be nice if they had somewhere to pay at before we return to our vehicle. There are many garages which have those machines where we pay for our parking ahead of time. It states that 90 minutes are free, that 90 minutes includes you getting in your car and driving out. Once I came back from my destination I used the pay station downstairs, I inserted the ticket and it said "no need to pay" so I went to my car and drove down to exit. Once I got to the exit and put my ticket in it said I had to pay. I talked to the attendant that was very rude then proceeded to get his supervisor Alex B. Who did not take what I said into consideration and continued to tell me to pay. I am very dissatisfied because one machine told me it was free and the other machine told me to pay and no one was truly listening to what I was saying. It's a little downhill hike from Old Town, but it's self-service (read: no valet hassle), and they accept credit cards (though it's not the cheapest). N-O! NO! Do not pay them a dime ... Mercedes, Gabby, and the rest of the crew cover for each other. You pay for the facility and your car gets broken into with precision. They know what kind of scam they are running and thankfully tonight a Pasadena detective showed up after our car got broken into. The shady "security guards " at this facility have it down to an art. According to the detective they are so clever they crawl through the window without opening the door. After a little detective work, this facility is owned by the City of Pasadena. There are 4 security guards at any given time and only cameras at the main entrances to see who DRIVES in and out!?! Give me a break... AND they asked us to pay when we left. See pics ... read more

During the day, excellent free parking for 1.5 hours (90 minutes). It's within walking distance to both Old Town and Paseo Colorado (about 4 or 5 blocks away but semi-up hill). This is my go to parking structure located in the middle of Old Town Pasadena. They have a free 90 mins policy with the same ticket when you entered. The rates are reasonable at additional $2 an hour, up to $6 max with the same date ticket. *Warning- they automatically charge you $5 if you enter after 10pm or if you don't leave by 9:59pm, Even if it's 20 mins. The structure itself is spacious with three levels up and three levels down, perfect for any Rose Parade or nearby entertainment. I personally enjoy the parking below for easier entering and exiting. They have three entrances: Fair Oaks Ave, Green St. And Raymond Ave for public. A few charging stations for electric vehicles right next to the stairs. There's even a green car wash station during the day for quick services. Overall, I love this location, much more convenient then the other two nearby. Clean and spacious spots to enjoy with plenty of security watching. A fair warning, be careful if your leaving around midnight. A few times, there were rowdy drunks leaving the structure. read more

this is my go-to parking garage when i'm visiting old town. it's centrally located on green street between raymond and fair oaks, and the first 90 minutes are free, $2/per hour thereafter with a daily maximum of $6. they are open 24 hours a day and have a flat rate of $5 for vehicles entering between 10 pm and 5 am. it's a popular parking destination so it might be difficult to find parking right away, but i've never not found a parking spot within 5-10 minutes. i believe there are three entrances: one on green, one on raymond, and one on fair oaks (but you can't make a left turn into that one if you're coming from colorado). you pay the attendant on the way out so no need to take your ticket with you when you exit the car, but definitely make sure you bring enough cash with you. read more

Great parking option in Old Town. This lot give you 90 minutes free, after that it's $2/hour with a max of $6. If you enter after 10pm it's $5 flat until 5 or 6am. Pretty good price for parking. Much larger than the DeLacey garage that gets full very quickly and the lot behind Pottery barn doesn't do 90 minutes free. I've left my car overnight after a night of too much drinking and didn't have to pay a million dollars so that was nice. read more
