Once again, no greeting as we came in, completely ignored by several employees. Didn't see anything in the cases, so I finally got a guy's attention and asked if they had any Powershots. He said no. I asked if he had anything similar or comparable? He pointed up on the shelf behind him and said they had some Canon Elphs. I knew those to be similar in size and price, so I asked if my granddaughter could take a look at it, since she's the one who wants a Powershot. He said no, he couldn't open a new one in the box and they didn't have a display model he could show me. What??? I like to shop local stores instead of online, because I like interactions with people and I like to physically see what I am buying, instead of shopping online. I went in BOTH TIMES prepared and with every intention to spend several hundred dollars on a camera and a lens. They treated us like we weren't good enough to be in their store and we were wasting their time. The first visit I thought maybe it was just a fluke or I perceived the encounter wrong - but when it happened AGAIN with the visit with my granddaughter - I realized there's a real problem with their store if that's how they treat customers. I thought, ok no big deal but when I opened the practice test, it was math that I haven't used since highschool 15 years ago. Sure, I tried to study and refresh my memory on what was to be on this test but with 2 weeks until the first day of this course, currently going through clinicals for my CNA certification, working full time and being a single mother, there is no way. I called Cal regionals office to see what would happen if I did not do well on this test and was informed that I would not be able to continue with the course. I will definitely be letting my 19 other classmates in my CNA class know to stay away from this place. Additionally, there is a $300 non-refundable deposit which in the beginning was not a problem but it definitely burns knowing I am not getting that back due to some false advertisement. To be clear, all I wanted was to take this course.

A whole year passed after I paid for my training at those two schools, and I was hesitant to go back to a school. I was afraid that the same thing would happen again. After all, I was paying out of pocket, and I wanted to make sure that my money was being used wisely. So, I decided to check out American Flyers. I won a scholarship, and I wanted to make sure that I started right this time. I wanted to make sure that my efforts were being invested wisely and honestly. Sean our Chief Pilot, was amazing, he answered all my questions, understood my situation, and put together a plan that worked for me in terms of time and finances I was 100% convinced that this was the school I wanted to be at. The planes there are top-notch, and the maintenance is always on top of things. The instructors are amazing! Everyone there is friendly and willing to help you. They're also very straightforward when it comes to challenging your knowledge, because they're training the best pilots in the world. (I mean it) The facility also has FAA-approved sims, so you don't have to worry about that. You have a lot to win in the school! And guess what? The checkride dates are almost less than a month away! The first comments the instructor made were that he hadn't reviewed the new slide deck that he was using for the first time. Further, the slide deck didn't match the books they had passed out to us. On top of that, at some point he said "it's been years since I took the private pilot exam, I don't really know what's on it." No. Lie. On top of that, to help fill the clear void of knowledge the "instructor" had, other students who had done some studying began offering up their opinions, essentially becoming a free for all. I feel really bad for anyone who came into this hoping to learn. Regardless of your aviation goals, look elsewhere and most importantly, just teach yourself the book knowledge, it's the only way

They should stay out of areas where they have no business in they will walk on your lawn and look at your vehicles and have their friends lean up all against your stuff also if you ask them to politely leave they will argue with you and keep doing what they're doing this business seems highly shady. I would not recommend it to anyone. The fact that they can even come into residential areas that are restricted is unreal and unbelievable they should train drivers on purely commercial roads rather than disrupting quiet neighborhoods. Note to this business not sure if this is the location, but they need to find more professional avenues to conduct their training.

My daughter drove around the neighborhood and did some work on reversing out of a driveway a lot - which I didn't know that was part of the test in getting her license (note sarcasm). My daughter drove for 50 minutes before Tristian changed seats with my daughter and said she was going to drive her around what the next lesson would cover. Ahhh, I didn't purchase 2 sessions. I purchased a 2 hour lesson where my daughter got instruction on her driving. After Tristian started driving, she drove to Wendy's to get herself lunch. She was hungry. My daughter sat in the car waiting for approximately 15 minutes while Tristian was inside getting food. She brought her food out and drove my daughter around for another 30 minutes, while she ate her food and looked at google maps showing my daughter more of what the next lesson would cover. Tristian dropped my daughter off 15 minutes early too. So I paid a high price for 2 hour of "hands on" driving with an experienced trainer but instead got my daughter driving for less than 1 hour, really mastered backing out of a driveway (wth) and then learned how to drive while eating and playing on her phone. I complained and requested a full refund, which I got without too much fighting. Luckily the sessions are recorded. Not happy with the service at all. Can't believe she still has a job because the next day they asked me to tip her. Ahhh huh?
