The store is clean and brightly lit, has a classroom in the back half for classes or for group decorating parties, and a bathroom on site. They can print out edible photo items for cakes as well. There is also a laser printing cutout and cake topper business added this last year to aid those who need specially made cake toppers. The owner Jenn is there most days and has several years of experience decorating cakes. She was even on the Food Network for a cake competition show. She brings her love of decorating and knowledge to the store and helps amateur, pro, and first time bakers and decorators all equally. The store has a bulletin board of local bakers if you need to find someone to make your special cake or cookie and staff can aid in finding the right baker for your needs. The birthday parties or group decorating fun classes are not like the decorating instructional courses you see on TV/technical college which I think some of the reviewers on here expected them to be so those people left disappointed for what they thought they were getting. The birthday parties are fun activity using fondant or a frosting bag to learn basic technique-- you aren't coming out of it a professional decorator. It is a good activity to expose kids to decorating and being creative.

It is clear that they use cycle techniques here (where kids rotate between different activities than having to wait in a line at one). It became quickly apparent my daughter LOVES her time here, as evidenced by 2x a week classes AND still asking every day if it's time for gymnastics. At GymFest, an end-of-the-school-year recital, kids can sign up, get photos taken, obtain a trophy, and a t-shirt with all their names on the back. My daughter had so much fun showing off for her father and I. After this, she moved up to the next class. I couldn't be more pleased with Coach Mia. I love how she knows when to be stern for the kids' safety, when time be more nurturing, and when to let them try for themselves too. It takes an incredibly knowledgeable coach with a lot of experience with children to be able to tell what each kid responds to. I have specifically signed up my daughter to lessons with this Coach and also will be starting private lessons too! If you're on the fence about where to go, come to their open gym and explore the facility for yourself. I came and spoke to staff and coaches prior to my daughter signing up. If you're as picky as me, I'll see you soon.

From the moment we walked through the door, we should…read morehave recognized the warning signs--especially after reading the many negative reviews online. We even asked about those reviews, and they did a great job of downplaying them. Unfortunately, we later learned those concerns were well-founded. This school is unprofessional on so many levels, from cleanliness to the quality of both in-person and online instruction. Whether a school has one student or one hundred, every student deserves equal treatment and support. The student kit was a joke. We were charged $300 and then weeks later stated it was gonna be over $700 for supplies that clearly did not add up to that value. Much of the kit consisted of inexpensive promotional items and freebies seemingly included to justify the cost. Even worse, my daughter never received all of the training items we paid for. The online hour-tracking system was also completely inadequate. There appeared to be no reliable way for the school to accurately track student attendance beyond logging in and out. The school never provided proof or documentation of my daughter's in-person hours or online hours. Yet, when she was preparing to complete the program, we were suddenly told she did not have enough hours and could not continue unless we paid an additional $750 to complete just 23 hours. They currently have my daughter's hours LOCKED due to none payment which is inaccurate. This was after already paying approximately $5800 for the program, not including the numerous "extra fees" that are conveniently excluded from the advertised tuition amount. Students and parents should also be aware that there have been ongoing concerns regarding the ownership and operation of this school, including allegations of repeatedly opening and closing businesses under different names. Additionally, we've heard multiple reports of students completing the program and then waiting months to receive their certificate of completion, delaying their ability to move forward with state licensing. This beauty school has been a complete nightmare. I would never recommend it to anyone and would not wish this experience on another student or family.
