Clean place , lunch on the expensive side .... I ordered everything separately...to go .... The falafel not the best I had ...even with the dip the server recommended.. The meat schwarma was absolutely delicious I it all came toguether ... The bread, hummus, schwarma meat .... I should have had the pita all mixed in ..maybe would be cheaper , I spent 12,bucks for lunch .... But it was a awesome lunch

Shnitzel+ is a cool, kosher place in Teaneck, NJ. My "classic" schnitzel sandwich was delicious. The cutlet was great crispiness with juicy chicken. The baguette was fresh and tasty. Lettuce, tomato, mayo were fresh. I ordered lemon & oregano french fries which were served in a cool basket with a pick tool to eat them with which was cool. They were flavorful and just the right amount of greasiness. The modern decor is cool and well kept; they keep the place clean for sure. There was a nice selection of sauces on each table which I always appreciate. Complaints: 1) It seemed a bit pricey... My sandwich was $9.95 and probably could've been about $8.00. French fries were $3.95 which was okay I guess because they were freshly seasoned. So my subtotal was $13.90 and I didn't even get a drink. I guess I am paying a premium for the Kosher aspect? 2) After ordering my schnitzel, the guy behind the counter asked if I wanted to add fries to my order. I said yes, which is fine... but he should've pointed me in the direction of their lunch special which is any sandwich, fries or onion rings, can of soda for $12.95. Things like this bother me, especially considering the fact that the guy behind the counter was cool, and we chatted for about 10 mins while the food was being prepped. I am not going to let this mishap reduce Schnitzel+ from 4-stars to 3-stars, but I am tempted. The food was really tasty, which is of upmost importance in reviews for me!

Schnitzel+ !!!!!!!!!!! Finally got to order from here yesterday for lunch after my failed attempt last Friday finding out the hard way they aren't open on Fridays. One thing I must say about schnitzel is when its good its good. This place has been inconsistent with the past two times we have ordered. The first time I ordered it was late in the day and the food (falafel sandwich) came hot and fresh. Yesterday I ordered around 12 and the food was not the freshest but still enjoyable. Yesterday I ordered with a few of my coworkers who weren't thrilled about their experience here but I know what they are capable of so I'm not holding it against them. We ordered 2 falafel with hummus, onion rings, oregano fries, 2 falafel pita sandwiches, and a classic fried schnitzel with no tomatoes. The falafel with hummus was not on point yesterday.. the falafel were cold and not crispy and hot like the first time we ordered from here, the hummus was good but nothing spectacular. The onion rings are the bomb and homemade! Definitely give those a go! Large perfectly crispy onion rings with a crunch to match, absolutely delicious. The fries were good but nothing crazy to tell you about them. The 2 falafel pita sandwiches I didn't order but my coworkers said it was lacking flavor and wished the falafel were hot and fresh as they should be. My classic fried schnitzel sandwich was delicious, hot and juicy chicken packed the inside with lettuce and I added their spicy mayo for a real nice kick. There is a $6 delivery fee that is automatically added to your bill and counts as a tip for the driver from what I was told so make sure you are aware of that and don't over pay. I will still be ordering from here but I can't say the same for the rest of my coworkers.

Breakdown: great price, simple food served well, friendly staff. I arrived an hour before closing (10pm) on a Columbus Day (also Monday of a Jewish holiday week). We arrived to see a clean, spacious dining and ordering area, decorated with a modern flair. I was struggling to control all the orders for my family with the wall menu. A staff member noticed this and offered me a printed menu. Everyone wanted chicken strips, so we ended up ordering a large platter (24), as well as a beef slider, some onion rings, and I ordered the classic chicken sandwich (if done well, it's delicious, but if not, it can be dreadful). Usually my family of 7 can't get away dining at a kosher meat establishment for less than $80-100. Our bill this time, however, was a shocking $52! The food came out in a reasonable time. The portion sizes were appropriate, even a drop on the generous side. My sandwich bread was fresh, soft and delicious, and the perfectly cooked schnitzel paired well with the fresh, crisp vegetables. There was not too much sauce to sog it down, either. My family enjoyed their chicken fingers and onion rings and my husband said his slider was perfectly cooked. We will be back. It was a very positive experience.

Queen Anne Road is home to a bevy of kosher establishments stretching across a variety of cuisines and when we're in the area, fixing for some freshly fried falafel pitas, Schnitzel+ is where we're headed. Bright, open, and colorful, the restaurant looks friendly and cheerfully dressed, with plenty of seating to go around. The service at the counter isn't quite at the level of amicability that the décor would suggest, but they get the job done. Over the past couple of visits, we've ordered from various parts of the wide menu, which includes burgers, wraps, and pitas. I've never had a complaint about the food, which is solid and well-portioned. The falafel pita, in particular, is monstrous and packed with fried fritters. Because it is doused with tahini sauce, it will begin to fall apart in your hands toward the last few bites but I have no qualms about getting a little messy for tasty fare. I'm especially a big fan of their garlic fries, which one should only order in a seriously committed relationship because they're saturated with flavor from several heads of garlic (or so it would seem). However, be warned that your meal will take some time to get to your table. During our last two visits, the restaurant had no more than four or five couples dining in but it took about fifteen minutes to get our food, which feels like a lot for a place that sells dishes you'd typically find in fast food eateries. Because the kitchen has a window, it's perplexing and even a little frustrating to wait for such a long period of time and see cooks working at such a leisurely pace. For a lazy Sunday afternoon, we had time to spare but it's something that'd definitely cause us pause if we were looking to grab a quick bite.

The baba ghanoush was everything I love in a good eggplant dip and was a definite win in our book - seasoned, textured, and slightly smokey. We intuited this would be delicious by getting two containers of it, and this turned out to be a great life choice. Chicken adana is a fan favorite in our house, and it's done pretty well here. They're like elongated loaves of marinated and spiced ground chicken, and delicious with rice and a dollop of yogurt sauce. We preferred these over the chicken kebab, which were just as flavorful but quite a bit drier. Both entrees were served with a grilled tomato and pepper, which were still warm and charred from the grill. They also came with small side salads, with lightly dressed and slightly wilted greens. My husband appreciated the extra veggies with our meal, but I far preferred the warm and soft pita rounds.

This place offers up fantastic Mediterranean fare and is run by some of the nicest people around. When they saw my husband eyeing a platter of an interesting dessert, they offered us both small spoonfuls to sample (I don't remember what it was called, but it was coconutty and delicious). I adored the falafel platter, which was a behemoth serving of 6 falafels, freshly made hummus, tabbouleh, and pita. The falafels were freshly fried and had a lovely sprinkle of sesame seeds. Coupled with a smooth smear of homemade hummus, my eyes were fluttering shut as I ate. My husband's side of the table went similarly silent as he dug voraciously into his mixed shawarma sandwich. He especially appreciated how they toasted the wrapper, which was more like a lavash than a pita. Before we left, we got a baba ghanoush to go. Our jaws dropped when we saw the serving size. We're so used to getting tiny containers from other spots that this giant aluminum platter of eggplant spread - complete with a little pool of fresh olive oil drizzle and stack of warmed pita - had us stilled with shock. We appreciated the sides and variety of sauces that came with our meal. The small cups of mayo, tzatziki, and spicy sauce, along with olives, pepperocinis, and pickled radishes, really helped complete our meal. These small and thoughtful touches made this meal feel more like eating in someone's home kitchen rather than a restaurant. On that note - know that everything is made from scratch and to order, which means the food will take a little longer than you might expect from a fast casual spot. This sweet gem is located on a random street in Hackensack, and a bit hard to find if you're not looking for it because there isn't much to draw attention to it. There's a small parking lot right in front of the restaurant, making it easy to drop in for a quick meal or to-go order.

Either find on the street nearby to walk or in the very tiny space in the front (to which good luck if you try to back out). However, that said the food more than makes up for it. Extremely fresh food made from scratch, you can tell the quality is there looking at the kitchen. This is also the only place to this day that I've found in the area that serves hot grape leaves, which are my favorite item on the menu, most mediterranean spots only make them cold. Their platters are also very filling and solid portion size. If you prefer to go lighter, there are also sandwich options with or without fries. Seating is very small, so takeout is their main business though you could certainly dine in if you'd like. Service has always been solid, the owner is very friendly! I'll keep coming back despite the tricky parking.

The menu is tantalizing and there's plenty of familiar favorites along with a few new-to-me items that the server readily described when I asked questions. This time, I tried the pargiot sandwich. I had no previous conception of 'pargiot' but another reviewer had sung praises about this wonderfully marinated chicken thigh meat. Having tried it, I'm not convinced it's blow-your-mind good, but it was decently flavorful and tender. You can customize the salad type that goes in your sandwich, and I chose the Israeli salad, a blend of tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. Mine felt a touch overstuffed since it was harder to taste the chicken and made my pita soggy quicker than I would have thought, but it's hard for me to ding points for generous servings. Our server checked in on us regularly and even thought to inquire about any sesame allergies before setting down the tahini dip that comes with the welcome platter of bread. As the restaurant got full and our visit came up against a reservation, I appreciated how respectfully he asked for the table. Speaking of reservations, it might be a good idea to make one for your visit, especially if you're thinking of coming for dinner. My friend and I came on a random Tuesday afternoon and this space completely filled up. There are also some outside tables available for possible spillover seating, but if your heart is set on coming here, call ahead. Parking in Englewood is always tough, especially come mealtimes because there are so many restaurants here. Make sure you come laden with quarters for the older parking meters or have the ParkMobile app ready for the spots that allow mobile payment.
