The main entrance can be a bit difficult to find- look to the left. This was formerly an auto service shop and they made such great use of the space. There is not a ton of parking because of the shape of the building, but the cool vibes and friendly service make up for that. The seating area is the old shop area, while the former lobby is an additional area for games. Sometimes they host food trucks. I could see spending a nice Sunday afternoon on the patio when the weather is nicer!

Their Draiocht is a sweet and tasty Irish Honey Red Ale. LoveStory is a well-balanced Coffee Blond Ale--a collaboration with the local library. I especially liked the Judith APA. It's a collab with STL Pink Boots Society honoring Judith Love Cohen--"engineer, author, and a true trailblazer... who worked on the guidance system that helped bring Apollo 13 safely home and later wrote children's books to inspire young girls in STEM." Then the person who brought the food out came out asking me if we were supposed to get beer cheese. We said yes and she asked what I was drinking. She left the beer cheese which was cold She said she would bring more tea. 10 minutes later she brought the tea. We finished our meals and about 20 minutes after we were done she finally came back to ask if we need boxes and we asked for the check. My hubby had the chicken wrap which he said was pretty good. She brought the check at 1:47pm and after waiting 10 minutes for her to collect it we walked up to the bar and paid her in cash so we could go. The food is wonderful here just don't expect the best attentive service. - can't win them all. I'm not sure if they need to have additional staff or if they need a better system for serving. We ordered the Poutine, because I always have to try it of its on a menu. We added the pub roast to it and that was a bonus call. Try it, seriously you like it. My wife had the Trash Chicken sandwich. The sandwich was HUGE! She had to cut it down to quarters to eat it and still only ate half. I tried the pub burger with onion rings on the side. AMAZING. I also could only get through half. I am assuming between the portion sizes and the fact that we hosed the poutine with pub roast beforehand in the reason we had the leftovers. Charlie's is located within historic downtown Belleville on the corner of Abend. There is only street side parking available. Keep in mind they do have breakfast or brunch too on weekends.
