Update: Poor customer service. I pulled up to the drive-through and waited several minutes, until I said hello. The person on the other end said they'll be right with me. Then, when they were ready to take my order, they couldn't hear me, so I spoke louder and more slowly. I guess between those two things, the worker thought I was being rude, which I wasn't. I sat at the window for just a couple of seconds and they told me to pull forward, I said okay and when I didn't pull forward fast enough, they told me to pull forward again rudely. I said that I was going to pull forward and they snarkedly replied to "pull forward thank you" in a very sarcastic tone. I got to the window and got my food and pulled up a little bit to check my order. I noticed that my chips were not in my bag. Big surprise, they were too busy being rude instead of getting my order right. I had to pull over and go in the restaurant and still had to wait, until I finally said my chips were missing out of my order. Can I have my chips? And then they gave me my chips. I would have understood if they were busy, but there were only a couple of cars in the parking lot and no one in the drive thru in front of me. When craving something fast, casual and fresh, Schlotsky's comes to mind first! I've rarely had a poor experience with any of their locations. My experience at this location wasn't the best, but it improved - stick around! We pulled up to their drive thru with a coupon for a free salad. I ordered a caesar salad with no parmesan. My husband ordered extra garlic bread with marinara sauce and a large soda. The lady that handed us our food was super friendly, and I'm grateful she was because my husband will have to interact with her alot lol. After she handed us our food, still at the window, I quickly glanced inside the bag. I had my salad without cheese, the drink and a straw, and the garlic bread. However, we were missing our marinara sauce and a fork for the salad. She apologized and gave us these things right away before we drove off. Across the busy street is when I realized my caesar salad was without caesar dressing. After some deliberation, and some bites of the bare salad and garlic bread, we decided to drive back. My husband went inside and saw the same lady. She was shocked and super apologetic for the miss. Keep in mind, we're all human! Despite all the misses, it didn't ruin our day. The food is still fantastic and the lady understood the miss. She wanted to fix it. My husband let her know it's all good, (especially the food!) and that he wanted to order more garlic bread with sauce. During the interaction, he saw he was missing the sauce again. The lady went above and beyond to resolve this second missing sauce issue. Despite the numerous missing items, this lady on their team was very kind, mature, and quick in handling it, in addition, their food was fantastic as always. Bad experience tonight ! I would like to speak to the owner . Who ever the manager was tonight she was cussing so loud using the F word at employee and cussing at customer . Police called towards an employee. She could have handled the whole situation a different way ! There was about 15-20 in restaurant at the time of incident. I've been missing Schlotzsky's since the one nearest me has closed. We came across this one while on our way to Dallas area and felt the need for a quick lunch so we stopped in. This establishment is great! Very clean and the food always prepared great! One thing I can say is that the owners of this place are very hands on and hard working Americans! They stay in top of the cleanliness and organization of the is restaurant. I will always make this one of my lunch a tops every week to grab a bite to eat! read more

We had a group off 14 and every order was served correctly. The service was fast. The staff were friendly and had no problem with our orders. As typical of all other Schlotzskys the place is clean. Being a visitor in Waco it was good that they are on a main road. It seems that even with the flow of people it never went below being half full. I had the Tuscan sandwich with jalapeño chips and a drink. The sandwich was very tasty with the different cheeses and sauce. I would definitely order this again. read more

When there Saturday sept 26 with my mom she likes the bread and the bacon I've ordered Blt there before tried the same today and they employee claimed they did not sell that or that I could order it. Her first words was I can't that should have been a clue she did not want to even try. Absolutely horrible service at indoor order counter. Not only ignored people coming in to order for lengthy time, never said a word to anyone, kept her back to people coming in to restock chips that could have wait, preoccupied looking at her phone, a driver came in with one of food pick up services (she waited a long time to get order, girl finally gave it to her, immediately turning away without a word, driver wanted to ask her something but couldn't get her attention, after about five minutes she said loudly (never mind) and walked out. This was on Friday night, about 5:30, November 3rd, young black girl. I'm a patient person as to waiting for food but not just waiting to order for lengthy times ... from an unfriendly, insufficient, person that never said a word, and didn't look like she wanted to be there. Took me about 20 minutes to get my food (there were only 3 different customers inside, maybe 4 cars in drive through when I arrived (I was inside though), but waiting is expected. When she brought food, not a word again just a unhappy scowl. She is the face of your business ... not a good one. read more

I went thru the drive thru this evening to pick up supper for my family. I ordered 2 sandwich meals both with specific wants, and 2 pizzas. I was the only person in the drive thru tonight, and after paying I was asked to pull forward & park so they could bring me my food which I thought was odd but whatever. Finally the food came, still the only person there, and before leaving I checked the bag to make sure everything was there & of course they had forgotten my 2 bags of chips. So I go inside thinking it's no big deal, & when I was up to the counter, I can see 2 male employees in the back shootin the shit who both look at me and then just continue to talk. So I stand there for a few minutes and finally one of them walks up the register. I tell him about my chips, he hands them to me, & I'm on my way. Then I get home, which is a 45 minute drive, and neither one of our sandwiches are what we ordered, and I don't mean they just messed up and left the tomatoes on. I mean 2 entirely different sandwiches than what we ordered. How freaking hard is it to get a food order correct when there is literally only one customer there?! Needless to say I will not be returning to this location. We have dined at the one on 35 & have never had any issues. read more

This is one of my favorite weekday lunch places. I like the healthy and fresh menu items. The tea is always good, never bitter or dirty-tasting. The rewards program/phone app is one of the best. The food and service are often excellent, but sadly it isn't consistent due to frequent employee turnover. read more

Decided to give it a try. Its been a couple of years since I've been due to a previous bad experience. Ordered, and paid for, a medium veggie sandwich only to be given a small. Sandwich also was literally room temperature no warmth at all to it. I paid $6 for a small, cold sandwhich. Would have been one star but gave 2 due to the fact that the girl in the Drive-Thru window was very nice. Lesson learned, never again. read more

Tried to get a sandwich to go on my way home from work a couple of weeks ago. I could see the female "workers" talking to a customer inside. I pulled up to order and waited- no one talked through the speaker to take my order or tell me they were closed. I ended up driving away. I would have thought that since they were open for 10 more minutes they could make me a sandwich. I was discouraged by that experience so I had not attempted to come back until last night. This time I went around 8. They took my order and I pulled up to the window. The girl working the window immediately turned around and ignored me. She made me wait a few minutes before she finally decided to turn around and take my money. She put my sandwich in a bag and handed it to me. The only thing she said to me the whole time was "$6.05". I went there about a week ago to eat with a friend. I had one of the medium sized turkey bacon club. It was okay but you really had to look for the bacon. What I could not understand is why there are different charges for the same drink and chips depending upon the size of the sandwich? Also, almost ELEVEN DOLLARS for a mediocre sandwich, a soda, and a small bag of chips. BE REAL, I won't be going back. read more

Iv been to this place twice, they are slow. The first time I thought it was just a fluke but second time it took 30 min for a to go order, they brought it out on a plate. So I reminded them it was to go and they took it back to wrap up. Five min later I asked for my order and they told me they lost it. Iv been to other locations and this is the worst shop. read more

Although really slow and the service is bad the food is good. When I went the girl taking my order was chewing gum, which is gross. I did let management know, she did not care. The bathrooms were clean as were the tables that were empty. My order took a long time, but it was hot and fresh. The Sweet tea is very good also. read more
