My experience at this location wasn't the best, but it improved - stick around! We pulled up to their drive thru with a coupon for a free salad. I ordered a caesar salad with no parmesan. My husband ordered extra garlic bread with marinara sauce and a large soda. The lady that handed us our food was super friendly, and I'm grateful she was because my husband will have to interact with her alot lol. After she handed us our food, still at the window, I quickly glanced inside the bag. I had my salad without cheese, the drink and a straw, and the garlic bread. However, we were missing our marinara sauce and a fork for the salad. She apologized and gave us these things right away before we drove off. Across the busy street is when I realized my caesar salad was without caesar dressing. After some deliberation, and some bites of the bare salad and garlic bread, we decided to drive back. My husband went inside and saw the same lady. She was shocked and super apologetic for the miss. Keep in mind, we're all human! Despite all the misses, it didn't ruin our day. The food is still fantastic and the lady understood the miss. She wanted to fix it. My husband let her know it's all good, (especially the food!) and that he wanted to order more garlic bread with sauce. During the interaction, he saw he was missing the sauce again. The lady went above and beyond to resolve this second missing sauce issue. Despite the numerous missing items, this lady on their team was very kind, mature, and quick in handling it, in addition, their food was fantastic as always. I'd be happy to come again and recommend it. However, check you have your utensils and sauce!

Then, when they were ready to take my order, they couldn't hear me, so I spoke louder and more slowly. I guess between those two things, the worker thought I was being rude, which I wasn't. I sat at the window for just a couple of seconds and they told me to pull forward, I said okay and when I didn't pull forward fast enough, they told me to pull forward again rudely. I said that I was going to pull forward and they snarkedly replied to "pull forward thank you" in a very sarcastic tone. I got to the window and got my food and pulled up a little bit to check my order. I noticed that my chips were not in my bag. Big surprise, they were too busy being rude instead of getting my order right. I had to pull over and go in the restaurant and still had to wait, until I finally said my chips were missing out of my order. Can I have my chips? And then they gave me my chips. I would have understood if they were busy, but there were only a couple of cars in the parking lot and no one in the drive thru in front of me. When the service is so bad, I don't even try going back to a place.

However, our outlook on this location changed in a blink of an eye. We came in one day for take out. Grabbed a soda cup. Started filling it with ice from the lobby soda machine. There was something dark brown on one of my ice cubes. It was pill sized. It looked like mold or mildew to me and to one of the staff gals walking into the lobby. My husband said it looked like a mouse dropping. Whatever it was in the lobby ice/soda machine - it requires attention. We gave the cups and chips back and asked them cancel the rest of our order. Some parents who said they were acquaintances of the owners highly recommended we stop at Jake's for dinner. Because of that recommendation, our party of 8 chose to visit. When we walked in, no one was at the front to greet us or take our order. After a couple of minutes, an employee named Tommy came sashaying out from the back. He walked passed us with noticeable attitude, and said, "I'll get with you as soon as I can, but it's gonna be a minute just letting you know." His tone was rude and unprofessional. I responded very politely, "Well, good evening to you too," hoping to lighten the moment. My sister then told him he was being rude. As Tommy walked toward the counter area, he mumbled clearly enough for several of my family members to hear "Well, you can always go somewhere else." My sister, who is a high school coach, immediately said, "You know what, we'll do just that." As our family members walked out. I stayed behind to ask Tommy why he would say something like that. He denied it, even though my sister, my eight‑year‑old son, and my daughter all heard him. They repeated his words at the same time. I told him we came based on a recommendation from friends of the owners, and that this was ? extremely disappointing. I also at the time, was trying to reach out to those people, and then decided "Why should I. they recommended the food, not Tommy! Once we exited and stepped, we saw Tommy on the phone. I'm sure this was too obviously speak with someone in charge to cover his lie! Hopefully someone will all view the video footage of this evening. If you can't hear his words, you can certainly make out the eye movement in the sarcasm in his face that definitely lets you know what he mumbled because he's very theatrical, so I'm sure at least that shows. We never even got to taste Jake's Burgers because of the disrespectful way we were greeted. We went next door to Fuego's and had a much better experience. Tommy, your behavior was out of line, rude, and very disappointing. you had no rhyme reason or right to make that type of statement to my family. Perhaps customer service is not your field. Tommy, perhaps you need a less stressful atmosphere, especially when there are only 2 occupied tables are in the establishment. One already eating and the other awaiting their food.

When we looked up the menu, there were gluten-free options for my sister; which was an immediate draw. The dishes seemed really good, authentic, and something that we really wanted to try. When when we walked in, I was a little surprised, it didn't look like a higher based restaurant, it looked like a sports bar. It was indeed a sports bar, TVs with games of various types on with bar music playing. Neither one of those things was a bad thing. It just didn't fit the menu in my opinion. It was still inviting, but very much a sports bar not the restaurant that we expected. We sat down. They brought over two glasses of water and some menus. We looked over the menus. We had some questions, they answered all of our questions in anything that they couldn't answer. The waitress went back and asked the chef or the kitchen. She was very helpful. I ordered the chicken marsala with mushroom orzo and I substituted the green beans (yuck) with cream spinach. They brought me the green beans instead, but then took them off when I told them that was not what I ordered and brought me the cream spinach. My sister ordered one of the other chicken dishes. We also shared spinach, dip, and chips. The chicken marsala was fantastic. The spinach dip was also fantastic. The cream spinach tasted just like the dip so I did not finish it and brought it home for my son. We each ordered a drink. She had the cranberry mimosa and I had the pineapple mimosa. They were not true mimosas. They were not made with champagne. It was fruit juice and wine. They were not bad. they just weren't mimosas. Our waitress was super sweet, very accommodating, and when she realized that my dish was not what I had ordered, she quickly remedy the problem. I would recommend this particular restaurant. It's in a very cute area, there are shops in the same building and many things within walking distance. If you go, just realize that it's more of a sports bar setting and not a nice restaurant where you would dress up. We felt a little out of place, but it was still wonderful.
