Here's the story: Met with Andrew twice in early November to walk him through a number of things I was looking to get done to an old house I purchased. Moving water/drains, hot water heater, gas, etc. Andrew seemed like a great guy at the time, down to earth, confident he could get all the work done in a timely manner. I've never misread someone so badly. I sent Andrew half the total cost of the project on November 13th for materials and to get started on the work, with the rest to be paid upon completion of the work. He said he'd be getting started that weekend on the project. Instead, it turned out to be one excuse after another about why he never showed up when promised to do the work. He became increasingly difficult to get a hold of. He stopped answering my phone calls, always promised via text to call me back later, and never did. This continued for two months until early January. In order to get a hold of him, I had to call from google voice numbers he didn't have. On Friday, January 10th, I finally got a hold of someone (I believe his wife) and told them I did NOT want him performing any work and asked for my money back. I was told he would return the materials the following Monday (Jan 13th) and would get a refund a few days later. That turned into "no later than Wednesday (Jan 22nd)". It's now Jan 31st, I still don't have the money returned to me, hence the legal action against Andrew. To sum it all up, Andrew repeatedly lied to me about starting work, calling me back, his plumbing license (it's expired), pulling permits for the job, sending me any kind of documentation, and now he's literally stolen my money. Do business with this man at your own risk.

He left the old hot water heater in my attic because he was alone that day and needed help to take it out. After having to call them from my google voice number to answer (which was extremely shady in its own right) I finally got him to come back out and at that time asked him when someone would be coming to inspect. He said "pulling a permit is not a problem. I'll handle it soon." And it is easy to pull a permit if you're a licensed plumber, BUT ANDREW IS NOT. So he tells me his license had expired, and he was going to get everything fixed and that I'd get my permit. But even after multiple heated calls, that day never came. Eventually, by October 20th, I had to get another plumbing service, Legacy Plumbing, to come look at the hot water heater. At first glance, their plumber told me that the work would have never passed inspection anyway. So, I gladly paid them about $550 dollars to fix the work. 2 days later, I had the inspector in my house and we had passed inspection. I disputed charges from Planet Earth Plumbing with my CC company and I'm filing a complaint with the Texas State Board of Plumbing. Rheem had them on back order, so Jeff's colleague, Antonio researched and found a replacement element, that was available the next day and made every effort to get our water heater repaired asap, before the weekend. Antonio is responsive, professional and helps in a timely manner. Jeff didn't respond for a week. We were without hot water for 10 days! The water heater never got to the set temperature of 129°, it would only get to 102°, which I don't feel sanitizes my dishes and clothes. Fast forward to less than 2 weeks later and the water heater stopped heating entirely again! I reached out to Jeff on Thursday (6/25) and still haven't heard a word from him. Thankfully, I have Antonio's contact info, as he actually is responsive and responds within minutes. My issue is I reported it not heating last Thursday, this go round, the part has to be ordered and they don't know how long it will be before it gets here. I call BS, as I ran a maintenance and construction company for 17yrs and I know all of the verbal jargon used by vendors to delay repairs/replacement of parts... I've heard them all... So we're on day 6 without hot water and no idea how much longer we're going to be without a hot shower, hot water to wash dishes or our clothes! So extremely frustrating! The plumber replace the line too ( not necessary) and was there 30 minutes and my bill was 400. The toilet now flushes very loudly. I understand we all need to make money but I feel as though I was taken advantage of. This should have been a less than 200 job. Another plumber same company came out to check his work because it flushes so loud now it's actually worse than the initial problem. For 400 I should be happy and I'm not. I will not use them again. Very disappointed. I do want to say that Eugene is my favorite plumber, but he is not the one that did the work. I was definitely overcharged for the work that was done.

David, a Master Plumber, came to my condo to give me a quote. He then came back the next day with an apprentice to install the toilet and flush the water heater. David answered all of my questions. He and his apprentice installed the toilets. The job was an A+. Here are some of the details: * Plumbing is a high-stakes job in a mid-rise condo such as mine. One leak could destroy multiple floors beneath. * My HOA requires proof of insurance that covers multi-family. AAA Auger had that proof, which is how they got on our approved list of contractors. * David has 40 years of plumbing experience, so he was well prepared to manage the complexities of working in my mid-rise condo. * AAA Auger sent a text message before the visit with a picture of David and his bio. I think that's a nice way to introduce a technician before they arrive. * David easily found the building and parked in the loading dock. I didn't have to call him once before he arrived. What a relief - sometimes this can be hard to explain how to get here. * Along with the new toilets, I purchased an artificial wax ring and some new hoses. David evaluated those, but given the placement of the toilets against the tile, recommended a different wax ring and different hoses. He had the recommended products in his truck. I trusted his judgment and went with his products. * After installing the toilets, David flushed my water heater. * I've gotten my water heater flushed by other plumbers each year for the past three years. Each time, it takes the plumber only 15 minutes. David took 30+ minutes to drain the water heater. I asked why, and he showed me that's how long it *actually* takes to drain all the way. In other words, the previous plumbers were cutting corners and not draining the water heater all the way. * After flushing the water heater, David checked the toilets and found a few drips under the new hoses. He discovered the hoses had a manufacturing defect and replaced the hoses again during the same visit. HIS PROACTIVE APPROACH SAVED ME FROM HAVING TO CALL HIM OUT AGAIN. * The next day, the dispatcher from AAA Auger called me to follow up and see if I had any questions. I told them everything was perfect. * I'm writing this review a week after my service call, and the toilets are working perfectly. There's no leaks on the hoses. The water heater is performing well. * I'm very happy with the service I received from AAA Auger. I would recommend them. * 1 big thing - I paid a pretty penny for the service. It was worth it because of the quality of the install, the experience of the plumber, and the insurance they carry that's compatible with my HOA requirements. * 1 more way to look at the cost: I don't expect to call a plumber to service the toilets for another 10 years. So, the way I look at the price I paid today is to divide the price by 10 - that's how much per year the job cost me.
