I was impressed by the photos that I saw and with all the followers she has. She has over 13k followers so my assumption was that she must be great. First impression on the overall look of the salon: When I walked through the salon, I was thinking it was going to be really nice inside since it's inside of the America's Plaza Building, but I was wrong. These stylists charge a lot of money for each client. You would think they would decorate their work space nicely but it was like an average hole in the wall place. It wasn't clean or organized. Meeting with Myra: My appointment was on April 13th at 12pm with Myra. I arrived on time, because I didn't want to be late. Myra indicates on her website that she charges late fees. When I got up stairs to see Myra, I greeted myself to her. She wasn't welcoming as she was occupied with another client. She told me she was running late and asked me to sit down. She was still working on two other client's hair. It wasn't until 12:55 when she finally got started on my hair. She asked me how I wanted my hair AFTER we already chatted about what I wanted on our instagram messages. I sent her very detailed pictures of what I wanted. I wanted bayalage with a lot of dimension that included baby lights. After refreshing her memory and showing her the pictures of my hair goal, she told me that she doesn't do highlights/baby lights. I was really upset to hear that. I wish she had told me that before I booked my appointment. Then she pressured me into getting an ombré melt since I wanted to go lighter. I had brassy yellow tones in my hair. She recommended that I should do the ombré first then go back and do the bayalage after I'm more blonde. I kept having to tell her no, because ombré isn't my style at all! She finally said ok to bayalage but instead of listening and helping me go lighter than what I already was, she ended up giving my hair a full 360 and took me darker. My hair was more blonde with my last session with a previous hair stylist than what I ended up with after getting my hair done with Myra. I didn't think going lighter would've been that difficult since I was already lighter on the bottom. She said she toned my hair and the silver linings all throughout my hair would eventually be my lighter blondes within 48 hours. It's been a week and a half and my hair is still very dark and those silver streaks didn't turn lighter. Myra did not deep condition or wash my hair good after coloring it. Myra's coworker rinsed the product off my head with cold water. I then sat on the chair with water dripping down my neck waiting to get blow dried for another 30 minutes. They did not wrap my wet hair with a towel. I ended up getting dye all over my face since the water from my hair kept dripping all over my face and Myra's coworker didn't wash out all the products from my hair. It was literally a rinse and squeeze session! Customer service: Myra did not provide excellent customer service at all. For someone that charges $300, I was expecting top customer service and one on one experience. She never talked to me unless it was to tell me to go to the rinse chair or back to the original chair. Instead, Myra chatted up a storm with her coworker about how much fun they had the night before. She arrived to work with a major hangover hence why she was running behind on time. I should've ran the moment I hear she was hung over. The girls talked about so many different guys. They talked about weed, dicks, being drunk, sex, and overall joked about a lot of unprofessional stuff. Work is a professional environment not a place to goof around. I truly felt that she was so involved into carrying conversations with her coworker that she didn't pay enough attention to my hair. She rushed my bayalage. She wanted to do ombré melt so it would be easier and quicker. She even JOKED about how tired she was and that if someone wanted to go blonde that she would say they look better brunette only because blonde requires more work. I was really shocked when I heard that because I had an appointment hoping to get more blonde in my hair and of course that didn't happen! Go figure! Myra never asked personal questions or tried getting to know me. She was busy chatting with her coworker. I was never offered any water after sitting there for 4 hours. You would think that if you are paying for a $300 service that you would at least have water bottles to offer your clients, but not at this place. If you expect one on one service do not go here. Myra will be working on 3 girls at the same time and juggling around all of them. Myra doesn't care if her clients return back to her or not. All she cares about is money. I didn't want to tip at all, but I still ended up tipping $40 on top of the $300 service charge since her coworker helped with my hair.

So anyway she asked the other girl to do it, during the time she was scratching my scalp wildly with the thick gloves! Anyway at the end, I got a really bright red, you can't even compare with the dark red color I asked and l showed the picture! Also she cut my hair uneven! The environment was horrible as well, they were so chatty and they spoke about like 40 guys in the time I was there!

My appointment with Rose was beyond disappointing and I would not recommend either her work or her…read morelack of professionalism to anyone. My appointment was made for a balayage and cut (pictures included). The appointment took a total of 4 hours and during this time Rose took SEVERAL inappropriate personal phone calls, leaving me sitting in the chair to have some of her conversations in the hall. This was not in a time of processing color, this was in the middle of her doing things. She also was having a discussion with a friend in the salon in the middle of my hair cut to which she just stopped working until they were done with their personal conversation. The color was also a disaster and the main reason for my review. I was given what looks like 2 month grown out, streaky highlights AND they are orange. She mentioned at one point she thought it may be lighter than anticipated but other than that she swooned over how pretty the color was. After leaving the salon I realized how orange and patchy my hair was. When I reached out about my concerns Rose was not apologetic at all. She offered to retone it. However just retoning the hair would still not have given the end result of what I asked for. Due to the lack of professionalism and the already messed up hair- I did not feel comfortable returning to Rose to have it corrected. She told me her "policy and procedures" do not allow refunds. My tip was refunded she said "I don't request tips", then proceeded to tell me "take care." and blocked my phone number. I'm more than disappointed and wish that Rose would have cancelled my appointment as she clearly had more important personal things going on in her life and I don't believe my hair or money should've had to pay for that.

Come here if you want your hair to look like this. I came in…read morefor highlights and my hair left looking like this. I booked an appointment for highlights with Alondra on Saturday, November 3. When I arrived, Alondra informed me that she doesn't do foil highlights and she would have to rebook me if that's what I wanted done. She suggested her hand painted baylayage technique. We discussed it and she assured me all of her clients liked It. Since I was told it would look nice and I didn't have time to rebook, I decided to let her use her technique. This is what my hair looked like when it was done. After a few days and receiving comments from my friends about how poor my hair looked, I called the salon and told them I was unhappy with my service. I spoke to Marlo and she reassured me they would fix it and not to stress. Alondra reached out and asked me to come in so she could fix it. She scheduled an appointment for Saturday November 10. I came in and I discussed how I did not like the line in my hair, and that I thought the toner was very orange/ red and was not anywhere close to my natural color. She suggested putting in more highlights with her hand painted balayage technique. I asked her if that would get rid of the line in my hair and she said no. I asked her if foil highlights would be best, and she again said she would not do foil highlights and that if that's what I wanted she would refund me. At this point I had never requested a refund and just wanted my hair fixed. I was not confident in her ability to fix the issues so we agreed she would refund me. I would've thought a lot longer the decision had she not offered to refund me since I would be out all of that money. She told me her manager would call me the following Tuesday and refund me. Alondra was nice at the appointment and even told me to come back if I ever just needed a haircut. I never received a call from the manager on Tuesday. When I followed up with Alondra two weeks later regarding my refund, she gave me the managers phone number. I called and spoke to Marlo and she told me it was too late to get a refund. I informed her I was told she was going to call me and Marlo told me she didn't know that and that it was too late at this point. She finally agreed to talk to my stylist and get back to me. I got three different consultations on my hair and all three said I required color correction due to the bleeding/ botching of the balayage that my stylist did at this salon along with the improper toning. I ended up paying for a color correction and my hair looks like how it should have originally but for an additional 400$. I told Marlo this and her response is that another salon would never say anything good about a competition salon. Tru Salon finally agreed to provide me a partial refund after numerous calls. I told them I was not happy with that and in response, Marlo was rude and not understanding. She tried to tell me the lighting makes it look worse, that I had agreed to this technique, and that it wasn't her fault that she didn't call me since her employee didn't relay that to her. I kept asking her if my hair looked good, and never once did she respond with a yes. She continued to make excuses and blame me for the time delay and stating their policy is for people to come in and let the salon fix it. I kept reminding her I did come in for them to fix it and was given to the same stylist who messed it up the first time. She told me that Alondra never promised a refund (even though she did) and didn't know why nothing was done at my appointment to fix my hair. I have never had to have my hair corrected after years of getting my hair colored, with many different techniques. This was such a disappointing experience. I was extremely disappointed by Alondra offering me a refund and never following through. I would avoid this salon at all costs.
